A DOCTOR BUILT AN AI-QUERYABLE DATABASE OF EVERY DISEASE HE KNOWS IN OBSIDIAN. THE SAME STACK CAN RUN AN ENTIRE COMPANY ON ONE PERSON'S BRAIN Zoomed out, his vault looks like a constellation. Every disease linked to its symptoms, every symptom to the conditions it shows up in, every treatment to what it treats. Adding a new case is one note that wires itself into the rest. It's a personal database, and the structure has nothing to do with medicine. It's just nodes and links. Once you see that, the same setup runs anything: > a startup that needs to remember every customer, decision, and meeting; > a school whose curriculum links to every lecture and student question; > a business where SOPs, clients, and vendors all sit in one queryable graph. Drop Claude on top, and the vault stops being a map. It becomes something you can ask, in plain English, across everything you've ever written down. Full Claude + Obsidian build in the article below. Is the Universe Actually a Hologram? “Is everything we see in 3D space, 4D spacetime, actually projected from a 2D surface like a hologram? I would say, in some sense, yeah, by definition. But how physical is it? If you can describe things the same way, you might as well use whatever definition is useful. I don’t always take it too literally in the sense of, like, we are in the celestial sphere. It’s more like, can I convert everything to variables on that celestial sphere, and does that help me organize scattering computations?”

A few months ago, Kyle McDonald sent me a message with a simple idea: capture my workspace as a Gaussian Splat, put a monitor back into that same space, track the viewer and make the monitor disappear. It’s been on my to-do list ever since... I finally built a POC… Working name: Vitre. It turns a screen into a window onto a 3D capture of the space it is actually in. My office space was captured as a 3D Gaussian Splat and registered back into the physical space. A camera tracks the viewer’s position, and the scene is rendered from that point of view in real time. Move around the screen and the perspective changes with you, as if you were looking through a window. Still a POC. The calibration of the whole system needs to be more precise, and there’s still some noticeable latency between the tracking and the render. #3DGS #GaussianSplatting #ComputerVision

Richard Feynman, Nobel Prize-winning physicist: "You can know the name of every pattern in the market and understand nothing about why a single one works. I won a Nobel on that one distinction. it is the whole difference between an edge and a story you tell yourself." this free film is a Nobel laureate teaching you how to actually think, recorded by the BBC and free ever since. at the board it's simple. Feynman's obsession was the gap between naming a thing and understanding it. You can memorize the word for why a stock moved, "momentum", "mean reversion", and still know nothing about whether it will happen again. Real understanding means you can say why, from the mechanism up, and name what would break it. Everything else is a label pasted over ignorance. That's the whole "edge", minus the marketing. Feynman's rule was that the first principle is you must not fool yourself, and you are the easiest person to fool. Same point as my casino piece above: the market is a machine for handing you convincing stories, and the only defense is refusing to believe one you cannot explain. the film is free and anyone can watch it tonight. what nobody can give you is the discipline to admit "I named it but I don't understand it" before you put money on it. That honesty is the edge, and it is the rarest thing there is.

Photos are about to feel like postcards. Every photo of a place is taken from where someone else stood. This street, captured by Hugh Hou on the Insta360 X6, lets you pick the spot. I walked it myself: the jester statue, the red phone boxes, the mural, a stranger in a white dress frozen mid-road. A short 360° clip is all it takes. The Insta360 Spatial Capture turns it into a 3D space you can explore. No scanning rig, no reconstruction software. That's why this feels bigger than a feature. We went from photos to videos, and now to whole spaces. Remembering a place can mean walking back into it. There are places from my life I only have a few photos of. I'd give a lot to stand in them once more and look where I want. It goes well beyond memories: → Take the Tesla Roadster display at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Capture it once and anyone can walk around the car long after the display ends → Property tours you can stand inside → One neighborhood, captured every few years Tell me the first place you'd keep. Link below 👇

Anybody can get a pump. I can get one in my living room in four minutes with no equipment whatsoever. Twenty press-ups. A band I found in a drawer. Fifty bodyweight squats. Waving my arms about for ninety seconds. A set of thirty on anything, nowhere near failure, rested short enough to keep the blood where I put it. None of that is hard. None of that is a decision. The pump arrives whether you meant it or not, which is precisely why it cannot be evidence of anything. And it lives in the eight to twelve range, because that is where the weight is never frightening. You can chase a sensation all afternoon in there. Nothing you pick up is ever going to look back at you. Now go and get under something that might beat you. There is no hiding on a heavy set of five. You cannot half-do it. You cannot drift through it thinking about your afternoon. The weight either moves or it sits there in front of everybody. That is why eight to twelve has survived fifty years of scrutiny it never earned. It is the widest band of weight you can lift while remaining completely unaccountable. Heavy enough to feel like effort. Light enough that nothing is ever on the line. A rep range you can occupy for a decade without once finding out what you are capable of, and leave every session swollen, sweating and entirely convinced. Heavy training keeps a record. That is the objection to it, and nobody will ever say so out loud. Take a set of five to within a rep of failure and you will find out exactly what you are worth, in kilos, before you leave the building. Most people would rather not.

AI video can look good and still feel fake. One of the biggest reasons? Camera movement. A camera does not just move from A to B. It has weight, it has momentum. A person is holding it, a gimbal operator is walking, a dolly slows down before it stops, a handheld camera reacts to the person carrying it and much more. Those tiny details are what makes AI video feel more like something that was actually filmed. So I put together my Cinematic Camera Movement Library with 40+ camera movement and realism blocks you can use in your AI video prompts. If you create AI videos, save this video. You will forget the names eventually. Want the full prompt library? Comment “PROMPT” and I will send it to you.

I'm putting a lot of attention into getting a high quality transfer for the Face Proxy Mesh we're adding to the Fondant Custom Normals Blender addon. Even if the proxy has great Normals, it will not matter if the transfer is distorted. A basic world space Nearest Surface (aka Nearest Face Interpolated) transfer can get screwed up if there are gaps between the meshes. And if they are different shapes and poly counts, there will be! So the first big piece of the puzzle is getting a clean transfer. Before transferring Normals, a transfer space is made and a UV map is transferred from the proxy. Then any other data needed can be transferred in that UV space. As long as it is right, any other data will be clean! (Normals or anything else you might want.) And a UV map is easy to debug because you can put a grid texture on it. If the grid is evenly spaced, then distortion is minimal. This clip shows the differences in distortion between a basic World Space transfer and a better transfer space made by blending Sphere projection and a simple projection of the face forward onto the proxy (used down the center line.) Different faces will need slightly different configuration. Most of this is automatic, but the addon will have some simple controls to adjust it to different face shapes.

A DEVELOPER MADE A REAL COMMIT WITHOUT EVER TYPING GIT ADD OR GIT COMMIT -- JUST TO PROVE THE COMMANDS YOU LIVE BY ARE A THIN SHELL OVER A DATABASE YOU'VE NEVER ONCE OPENED 55 minutes from Tim Berglund, a longtime Git teacher and GitHub evangelist, taking the tool apart down to the raw objects almost nobody who uses it every day has ever touched. -> The moment it clicks, Git stops being a pile of memorized commands and becomes what it actually is underneath: a tiny content-addressed database of blobs, trees and commits. git add and git commit are just polite wrappers around writing objects into it by hand. Every commit you've ever made was Git hashing a snapshot and filing it by fingerprint. Branches are just labels pointing at one of those objects. The work you thought you destroyed with a bad reset is still sitting in the reflog. Once you can see that graph, the commands that used to terrify you stop being scary at all. Memorizing commands was never the skill -> reading the object graph in your head is. And with an AI agent now committing and rebasing on your machine faster than you can follow, the one person who can untangle the mess it leaves is the one who knows what's really stored down there. There's a person on every team everyone runs to when Git breaks. This is the talk that quietly turns you into them. You'll reach for it the next time a rebase goes sideways. THE BARRIER BETWEEN A PHOTO AND A VIDEO NO LONGER EXISTS AND HEYGEN JUST PROVED IT. I uploaded a photo to HeyGen, and it came back as a video. I genuinely did not expect that to work. But it did. And now every photo in my camera roll is potential video content.

You don't need to know how to code to turn a messy spreadsheet into something you can actually use. I had an Excel file of 20 brands I want to pitch. I dropped it in a folder, opened Qoder, and typed one sentence: turn this into a dashboard with search. Then I watched. It read the file, made a plan, wrote the code, opened the page in the browser, and tested the search on its own. I added a /goal so it knew when it was done: every brand shows, search works. The model: Qwen3.8-Flash, free through September 30. Zero Credits for this whole run. Want to try it? Enter my code BPU7C6 at first, then download Qoder and sign in. You will get 600 Credits: 300 from the trial and 300 from my code.

#PixVerseWorldModel is doing something pretty interesting with AI video. One of the things that stood out to me is the WASD experience. AI video usually follows a simple workflow: write a prompt, generate a clip, and watch the result. With PixVerse World Model, you can actually move around inside the generated world, control the camera, and use prompts to influence the environment, characters, and actions as you move through the scene. The interesting part is how movement and prompting work together. Instead of generating a completely new clip every time you want something to change, you can keep interacting with the world and see how it responds. Text prompts start to feel less like instructions for generating a video and more like another way of interacting with the world itself. It makes PixVerse World Model feel less like traditional AI video and more like a playable, generated environment. Maybe the more interesting question for AI video isn’t just “what can it generate?” It’s “what can we actually do once we’re inside it?” Try now:

Ok, one more as I dream of doing this: > an amateur timelapse video taken by a tourist from ` plush and comfortable room on a space cruise, timelapse is as it orbits around saturn at a peculiar angle, at times you can see the reflection of the room, at other times the lights are off, it's from a gopro on a tripod mounted next to the window. in a timelapse fashion we see people moving around quickly in the background, no sound effects, just calm music You can tell it's amateur as they put the tripod on a sofa.

I got in a Tesla Cybercab in Austin, hit record, and ate boba and popcorn chicken while the car handled the road. That’s the whole point. I did not have to watch traffic. I did not have to keep my hands free. I did not have to stay alert for the next light, lane change, or random driver. The Cybercab has no steering wheel and no pedals. There is no driver. There is no stranger sitting up front. So I could actually eat and just be in the car. This video is that ride. Doors close themselves. The cabin is already set how I like it. I slurp the boba, eat the popcorn chicken, look around, talk, film, and never once have to snap back to the road. That is the difference. In a normal car, eating is a split-attention thing. In this, the road is not my job.Once that clicks, the rest of it makes sense. You can open a laptop and work. You can take a call without saying “sorry, I’m driving.” You can recline and close your eyes. You can treat the cabin like a private room that happens to be moving. Productivity is not a pitch deck idea here. It is what happens when you stop spending the whole trip managing the street. If you have been waiting for a real Austin Cybercab ride instead of a staged walkaround, this is it. Messy food. No driver. No road stress.Riding a Cybercab without worrying about the road. Eating in a robotaxi like it is actually your space. No driver, no strangers, no performance. Using the cabin as a working station. Falling asleep in an AV in a way you cannot in a normal ride. Filmed in Austin, Texas in a Tesla Cybercab / Robotaxi. Subscribe if you want more of these. Video shot on ⁨Insta360⁩ Luna Ultra Thanks Kim Java for filming! Elon Musk Tesla Tesla_AI

This is genuinely fascinating. What if you could turn a simple 360° video into a 3D world you can actually explore? With Insta360 X6 Spatial Capture, you can record a short 360° video and turn it into an explorable 3D scene right through the Insta360 app. No specialized scanning equipment or professional rendering software needed. We've always captured memories through photos and videos. But imagine being able to revisit a favorite travel destination years later, look around, and explore the place almost as if you're there again. This is what makes this technology so interesting. It's not just about capturing how a place looked, but preserving the space itself in a way you can explore again. What if the future of memories isn't just watching them again, but stepping back into the places where they happened? 3D scene created by Hugh Hou.

i built a tool that lets you clone ANY video with AI saw a movie scene you want to recreate? a commercial? a music video? just upload it to this tool and get the exact structured prompt to generate it in sora 2 you no longer need to guess how to describe what you want to generate. show the tool the reference and it engineers the prompt for you. the tool analyzes: - camera movements and angles - lighting and color grading - scene composition and timing then converts everything into sora-optimized prompt structure this is how you recreate any visual style without prompt engineering experience RT + reply 'TOOL' and i'll send you access (must follow so i can dm)

I got to "play" a world model in real life. The Google DeepMind folks set up a crazy demo for Genie. You select glowing orbs to represent your scene and character. It loads the world in the model, and you navigate with joysticks like a video game 🕹️

Adult creator Sky Bri reveals the worst scene violation she ever experienced on Bradley Martyn's Raw Talk: "What was the only truly bad scene experience you've ever had?" "I was filming a scene with a guy, and he put it up my a without asking beforehand. I had never done anal in my entire life, so that was not agreed to at all." "Wait, so he just did it out of nowhere?!" "We were in a spooning position, and he slipped it out of my vagina and shoved it right into my a while whispering in my ear: 'Oh, you like that?' I was so in shock on camera that I just froze, but I was in physical pain for days afterward." "Did you tell him to cut it out?" "Right after, I texted him: 'I've never done anal before, I was not comfortable with that, please cut that section out of the video.' He agreed and said: 'Yeah, totally, we can cut it out.'"
