Gov Jared Polis (D) explains why he didn't mention Denver's migrant crisis in his State of the State: "We really want to keep the focus on the federal government where it belongs. The only entity that can remedy this. The only entity that can secure our borders." #copolitics

He deflected and you let him slide

Well stop claiming we are a sanctuary city

"migrant" is such an marketing media term. I'm old enough to remember when we called them illegal immigrants. Just like changing the homeless to the "unhoused". Do you guys get some mainstream media wide talking point memo on these things or do y'all just hang out together

So why did he put no pressure on them?

Spineless “leadership” his party and beliefs control the federal government

He could also clearly state that Colorado is not a sanctuary, and individuals not following the complete legal immigration process are not welcome here. Anything less is a dodge.

Why is he talking work permits instead of deportation? Infuriating.

Article 4, Section 4, puts responsibility on the federal government to protect the states from an invasion. The Tenth Amendment leaves the responsibility to the states if the federal government refuses. The federal government isn't securing our border, so it is up to @GovofCO

Until very recently, at any time over the past three years has Polis publically asked our government to close the southwest border? Don't think so.

So @GovofCO supports closing and securing our borders? Great, so he’s in favor of Republican initiatives.
