@komonews Now imagine where the state would be if it had not spent the 8 billion dollar surplus it had during the pandemic? Every state but ours that had a surplus gave money back to its citizenry. Our state did not refund it and yet we now face a $15 billion shortfall?

I don't wanna send checks to people. I wanna use those dollars to reduce the national deficit. Sending checks to people is inflationary. What we need long-term is to reduce deficits. So, forget about the $2,000 sent out to everybody and just apply it against the deficit of the country. We have massive, massive debt. We don't have a balanced budget yet even if we're bringing in all this money on tariffs.
