Start by fixing the issues the latest updates brought. Anthropic models became unusable. Agent mode takes forever for a simple task. Just go on reddit and look at the countless community feedback.

I've paid for Cursor again to test this - not hugely impressed. Did 5x tries of my Golden Gate Bridge prompt, 2x were ok, 3 were terrible. Left in Google's upcoming Gemini 3 Pro and GPT-5, GPT-5 and Sonnet 4.5 in there for comparison - all are much better.

It cost me $8 for 4 prompts with GPT 4.5 Preview in Cursor. Is it better than Claude 3.7 for coding? No. I've been casually building really complex features like multi-edit and AI video editing with chat. It's amazing that Claude is still the same price as 3.5 and is included in Cursor pricing.

I’ve been using GLM 5.2 in Cursor with MagicPath and really like it so far. Cursor Settings → Models: Add your Fireworks key under “OpenAI API Key” and enable it Base URL: Model: accounts/fireworks/models/glm-5p2 Restart Cursor. Done.
