GPU Canvas is now in Early Access. Rive's new low-level GPU layer for 3D, shaders, and custom effects.

It's developer-first and intentionally low-level. Write your shaders once and they work everywhere. Metal, Vulkan, Direct3D, WebGPU, WebGL (whatever the platform needs). It only adds 25KB to the runtime.

With GPU Canvas you can write shaders…

write a GLTF importer…

create lighting effects…

build rendering pipelines…

render 2D components as interactive textures in a 3D scene…

embed 3D geometry inside a 2D artboard…

Not a GPU programmer? The Agent writes and optimizes shaders for you… with support for MCP coming next.

All this comes with first-class design and animation tooling that no other runtime or engine provides. 3D scenes work natively with responsive vector layouts, state machines, dynamic text, vector feathering, 2D skeletal animation, data binding, and more.

And of course it runs everywhere Rive does. Web, mobile, TVs, vehicles… you can even deploy Rive directly to consoles as your full engine.

GPU Canvas brings us closer than ever to what Rive was always meant to be. A true experience engine. State-of-the-art visuals, motion, and interactivity. All in one place.

Those green bubbles that @LauKitton did kill me!

This will change gaming and graphics/UI design forever.

The Oceans 🥶

Great quality-of-life update! Image scaling inside layouts after positioning will make UI workflows much smoother. 👏

Looks cool but what am I supposed to do with the "early access" without any info at all provided exactly

Rive continues to push the boundaries of interactive graphics and creative tooling. We'd be excited to collaborate and help showcase upcoming features through high-quality content that reaches engaged creators, designers, and the AI community. Looking forward to the opportunity to work together.

Hello please I am having difficulty uploading files on Rive I don't see the option to upload my character because I am jot using PC my PC has been spoil I am only using my phone now and need help regarding the #characterchallenge on @contra

is there an official skill to use for non designer?

🧊🧊🧊

Short question, I want to integrate Rive into my UI workflow. I will develop my unreal game for the next three months without internet while traveling. Is it possible to login online once, and then use the app offline for maye one month in a row?

Does it have ai to make the work faster and smart?
