American has a health insurance plan with UnitedHealthcare His wife needed surgery to remove her gallbladder - Surgery cost was $15,000 - Overnight stay was $12,000 - Insurance paid $900, he must pay the rest His son needed an ear surgery, the cost of the surgery was going to be $11,000 with insurance. The cash price for the surgery was $6,000 “The cash price is like half of what it is if you run it through insurance” So he tried to not use his insurance and pay the cash price, this is what happened “I was going to do for my wife's surgery. I was gonna say, we're just not even using insurance. We'll just cancel it. And I'll just pay the self-pay price. Turns out you can't do that because the hospital will sue you if they find out you have health insurance because they make more money if they charge your health insurance.” This is a scam He says he’s not paying the bill because it’s a scam, “We're wanting to try to soon, try to save up money for that so we can have another kid. People wonder why the birth rate is so low, which honestly, I'm not going to pay any of this bill either. Like, what do got to do? Take me to jail?” “Number one cause for bankruptcy is medical debt. Why is it that it is just okay if in this country to extract wealth from people that don't have any? But if you're a billionaire, you don't even have to pay taxes.Because that's all any of this is. It's all a scam. It's all designed to screw you over and take your money. The people that have no money, they want to take more of your money and give it to the millionaires and the billionaires. Well, you get screwed. You get stuck with bankruptcy and your kids have no future.”

Tucker Carlson and Chamath Explore AI’s Most Dangerous Risk: A Tool of Government Censorship and Surveillance Tucker: “The awesome power that AI gives governments and other concentrations of power over the population is a concern, particularly in the United States where we have a Bill of Rights.” “And it seems to me it would be important, and I never hear it raised, to put in some guardrails that protect the average powerless person against surveillance or having his rights taken away.” Chamath: “This is the absolute biggest risk in the future.” “When you have these really powerful models, the reality is the incentive for governments to try to infiltrate the information cycle, they will not be able to hold themselves back.” “And then what comes with that is a lack of privacy, a total loss of privacy, and then a push toward censorship.” “So as these AIs become more powerful, we have to marry it with a set of technologies that can preserve privacy and preserve access to monetary resources.” “There's nothing you can do today, nothing online, that is not tracked.” “Now we have sets of rules that say that tracking can't be shared.” “I'll give you an example. I decide to buy a very sugary cereal. That is not shared with my insurance company that underwrites my health insurance.” “And there's all kinds of laws that prevent that, but that's just a flimsy law. That's a moment in time that could change. If that decision were to change, now my buying patterns become subject to scrutiny.” “The great thing about the US dollar is, when you get a dollar and you put it in your pocket, the physical dollar bill, it is completely fungible.” “Nobody knows what it was used for in the past, nobody can judge how you use it in the present or in the future.” “And we have to find a way to replicate a version of that so that you can preserve privacy and minimize censorship.” “Because if you have to transact. All day, every day online for everything, and there's no way to shield some amount of privacy, it's a very scary outcome.”

“What did you think of Lando being booed at race because people and I've seen it online as well say he doesn't deserve the title because McLaren favored him over his teammate. Do you think that's total nonsense?” Jacques Villeneuve: “That's a little bit ridiculous. When there was some booing in some races, that was embarrassing. You should never boo a driver that's clean, doesn't do anything dirty, on track is respectful, and on top of it is super fast. What's wrong with people? That was embarrassing. And, had it been that Piastri was a second a lap faster than him and somehow Lando was winning because a lot of things were happening, his car breaking down every time, then you could start thinking, okay, that's really not cool. That's not fair. But that wasn't the case. And in the second half, Norris has been faster right at the beginning as well, last year as well. So there's this whole middle of the season where Piastri was driving a lot better than Norris and was getting the points. Norris had an engine blowing up, not Piastri. And so those fans, they don't look at that either. You have to look at the whole picture, at the whole season. And suddenly if your favorite is starting to go backwards, you just got to bite the bullet and accept it. Your favorite is just going backwards. That doesn't mean that the other one is treated better or the other one is undeserving just because the one you're a fan of is not winning right now. That’s really wrong. If you're a fan of the sport, then you have to be a fan of the sport and understand when your driver is maybe not cutting it at this point in time, even though he was before and he will in the future again. It's all a question of timing. But that's the price we have to pay now with social media and how big F1 has become. It's very passionate. The people are passionate and once, you know, fans come from fanatism, you stop thinking, when you get in that mindset and it happens to all of us. You want something so much that you get attached and you cannot - it's hard to start seeing reality. So you will try to mold the reality to your thought process and if your champion is not winning then it cannot be his fault. It has to be something from the outside. It has to be the team destroying his chance or not favoring and so on and so on and so on. But there's nothing concrete behind those comments. It's pure fandom and it'll always be like this. And ultimately it's not a bad thing. You know drivers at that - sportsman at that level have to grow a thick skin. If not, you don't deserve to be there. You just have to have a thick skin because they're all very happy to get the compliments. They love it when it's just positive, but it gets balanced out with negatives and you need to be able to take and accept the negatives as well. It goes both ways. You cannot have the good. You just have to be a thick skin and know that it's part and parcels of what's going on. And in one month, it will be forgotten and maybe everything will change and it be the other driver that suddenly will be criticized and so on. So, it's just that's just the way it is.”
