Debate of Ex Mining Chairman vs Present Mining Chairman 1. Till 2014 Sand Mining revenue was only Rs.39crores 2. When Sand price was Rs.645 per tonne , Timing of Sand Mining was just 6am to 6pm, Service Rate was only Rs.3 , then BRS Govt reached State Revenue Rs.800 crore mark 3. Now when Sand Bazars are selling Rs.1500 per tonne and also additional burden of transportation charges , Service Charge increased to Rs.100 , Timing increased 6am to 9pm, then why is State Revenue still Rs.900crore should it not be doubled to Rs.1700 - Rs.1800crore 4. However, in a case I had no connection with, I was later taken to the brink of jail. Fortunately, because the law and judiciary still stand strong, the remand sought by the police was rejected and I did not go to jail. They conducted their Mandal survey in 2018 and built a massive compound around this entire land. Subsequently, they have done another survey under the direction of the High Court. A small portion of this land was acquired from these landowners by the HMDA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority)... These incidents amplify that they are the legitimate owners sitting on three survey numbers, 169, 244, and 245. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and his son run a company called Raghava Constructions... They came and said that we have a development agreement with the neighbouring landowners. We require your land... The moment they refused to give their land for the development, a new game was started by the revenue minister. His own assistant director initiated an AD survey, which was illegal, the High Court has condoned it, and put a stay on the entire survey...The hooligans tried to penetrate this land and then demolish the compound wall. When the landowners tried to file a complaint, the police did not help them. Today, under the leadership of our leader, KT Rama Rao and Harish Rao, some MLAs have come here to extend their solidarity to these victims... The police, revenue authorities and the minister all have colluded to encroach upon this land..."
