Granvir is getting an optional and toggleable soft-lock targeting mode next update for those looking for a more Armored Core feel. You'll automatically lock on out to double your targeting range and be a little less accurate than manual mode.

Holy peak. Forget whether or not it's optimal, this is incredible for game feel

Let me know how it feels if you try it out. Its live on the experimental branch and I'll be making tweaks all week.

Played a few missions with it on, I think some settings to adjust the sensitivity of switching targets in soft lock would be helpful. Besides that, I also got some time in with the new ammunition system. Realized a problem with having more than 2 ammo types. IE Medium Ballistic Gun, Steward Light, and Battery Wrist Beam. Couldn't have more than two types of weapons with ammo loaded unlike before the rework. Is it required to dedicate a module slot to mimic prior setups or is each weapon meant to have a slot for its ammo type?

Slots are no longer provided by weapons yeah. You can get more slots from special modules and back modules that provide other ranged related benefits or tweak the base amount with custom difficulty.

Dude…you’re updates are starting to rival on No Man’s Sky with how amazing and frequent they are :D

This looks sick! I think it would also be cool if we got T3 and T4 holsters that reload weapons you put on them (but slower than when in hand). I would also love to see arm mounted holsters, kind of what the Gundam Barbatos adapt has

As Steamdeck user. Thank gods.

ありがとうございます! これで友人に勧めるハードルがより一層低くなります!

After trying out the game for myself, due to the regular support, I most definitely will be purchasing soon. However, I do have one major issue to ask about that my friend who owns the game shares… there’s a lack of OOMF to everything.

I personally don’t like armored core style games too much and the genre has been flooded with them lately. I do however love this game so I hope it keeps heading in the right direction

Looks fun!

I have a question! Will there be any beam sabers?

There are two beam sabers. One you can quickly turn on and off to use wrist weapons and run faster and another with a massive blade that activates when you swing.

i swear every time my friend and i are late night playing your game and talk about a feature we want you implement it like the next week. This game is sooo sick and i can only see my hours climbing in it. keep up the amazing work!! ill keep shilling it to everyone i know lol

I bought your game quite a while back. Good to see my stonks rising like this

WOW

not a fan of soft lock systems personally, but I get the precedent. Other people like that system, and they deserve to have it. Thank you for balancing it in a way that makes it an option and not the optimal choice.

will all these changes be playable/usable in the free version?

Absolutely. I always update Zero Front on the same day as the full version. The only thing I hold back is the content that naturally wouldn’t appear due to the other campaigns not being included.
