NEW #VIDEO! Incredible forest damage with a whole entire section completely destroyed off of OK Mill Rd, Snohomish, Washington. There are easily over 100 trees down in this section. I believe this is from an extremely strong mountain wave wind gust that surface in the area. Also a couple other clips of damage to power lines and lineman still working in the area. #wawx

Whiteout, and ground blizzard conditions are likely, with very powdery snow being blown by near-50 mph winds, especially close to the lake. 🚨LANDFALL: Hurricane Melissa just slammed into the city of Santiago de Cuba with winds of 120 MPH and a pressure of 952 mbar. This is the 2nd largest city on the island of Cuba and major street flooding has already been ongoing for hours. The NHC continues to warn that “life-threatening storm surge, flash flooding and landslides, and extremely damaging Hurricane winds” are likely to persist in eastern Cuba through Wednesday morning.

But for this, nearly 1,700 trees will be cut, many of them 40 to 50 years old. The Kumbh Mela will last only for a month. Is it really necessary to cut such old and valuable trees for something so temporary? Today, very few people plant trees and take care of them, so why remove the ones we already have? After all, the sadhus can sit in the shade of these very trees. This is something we should seriously think CMO Maharashtra
