Great stuff here from Stephen Vogt. "I learned a long time ago the word deserved sucks. No one deserves anything... you have to go out and earn everything you get and these guys went out and earned that division title." #Guardians #GuardsBall

🚨 OMG. In a mic drop moment, the father of 5-year-old Dalilah Coleman — nearly slain by an illegal alien driver — looks Democrats in the eye, and absolutely goes off... "I REJECT your guys' sympathy, to be honest with you." "As far as that side of the aisle goes, I think that building needs to get checked for MOLD or something because you guys are REALLY out of your guys' mind thinking that sanctuary cities are the ways you go!" "There's no way you guys are sorry. Not ONE of you guys have EVER called me, not one of you guys have ever reached out to me, not one of you guys have ever sat there and seen me in the hallways and said, hey, sorry about your daughter." "This is the end result of sanctuary city right here. *Motions to Dalilah* And the guy was just going to work?" "You guys want to talk about illegal immigrants. So he's just driving to work and trying to be a part of the community. This is what happens right here!" "You guys do it right here while you guys are grand standing on top of your soapbox." "This is when you guys 'care.' Right here inside this room is the only time you guys 'care.'" "I've never received anything from anybody over here at all regarding my daughter or my family or anything. Hey, Mr. Coleman, your guys Dalilah law. I want to help you revise this so that we were interested inside of it. Nothing. You guys have no pathway to anything. You guys want to sit there and talk about the pathway to citizenship. There is a pathway. It's not jump the fence and apply!" 💯 "I'm now pinching pennies. I have nine kids, by the way, that I take care of. And I had to sit there and stretch that all because of this right here." "There's no way at all that anybody should fall victim to what's going on behind somebody who's not supposed to be here." "If I moved into your house without your permission and I started sitting there derailing your guys' household and taking from your guys' monetary and your guys' food and stuff like that, you guys would have me either kicked out, ask me to move out or have the police escort me out. It's the same thing in the United States!" 🫳🏻🎤

Geno Auriemma shares how he explains success to his players and why showing up isn't enough. "If you go to class and you do average work, you're gonna get a C. That's why it's called average." "If you want a B, you have to do more work. If you want an A, you have to do even more work and you have to give up stuff." You get what you earn in life. "You have to sacrifice. Maybe you can't do all the things that everybody else does." It means if you want more then you have to be willing to do more. "If you're just happy getting Bs all your life, there's nothing wrong with that either. But you're never gonna get the satisfaction of what it feels like to get an A." Then he connected it to basketball: "If you just wanna be average, then you do average work. If you wanna be a little bit above average then you do a little more work." "If you wanna get As in basketball, then you gotta do stuff that other people aren't willing to do - especially if you have the talent like we do. We have talent." It means bring a mindset of excellence to everything that you do. Excellence isn't the goal - it's the standard you set. Then he called out the entitlement problem: "Some of these younger guys coming out of high school, man, they wanna show up and go, 'I'm here. Where's my 3.7?'" "Like my father used to say, 'I got your 3.7 right here.'" Showing up doesn't earn you anything. Doing the work does. You get the grade you earn - in school, in basketball, and in life. It's easy to be average...successful people look to compete in everything they do. (🎥UCTV Sports )
