Well. I agree he’s being used. And I do think this is abusive because I don’t think he is cognizant, though he does seem to know the word “no”, so there’s that. But… it’s also true he is reaping the consequences of being an evil MF’er. So I’m not feeling terribly empathetic.

It's elder abuse. He isn't capable of expressing consent or a rational opinion. That he was a formerly powerful man changes that not at all. He's not in his right mind anymore and cannot make competent decisions. Using him for a vote, and forcing him to change his vote, is abuse.
