Bro… I’m not gonna lie, this update is destroying my entire workflow. I’ve been deep in Grok Imagine every single day building The Starseed Chronicles — locking characters, locking voices, locking emotion. Now everything feels soulless. The expressions are flat. The energy is gone. Characters that used to feel alive suddenly look empty. And the reference feature? It’s supposed to help consistency but the abrupt change completely broke the way I was working. I’m having to fight the tool just to get what I used to get easily. I don’t want presets I want to just keep the voices I had ! This isn’t a small tweak. For creators who live in this tool every day, it feels like they ripped the soul out of it overnight. This needs real attention. The quality drop and the sudden workflow change is pushing people over the edge. I’m genuinely going nuts trying to adapt. Fix the emotion. Fix the soul. This is too important to get wrong.

you should be able to work with it the same way as before, no need to use this feature. or you mean the 1.5 update in general?

The new generations won’t keep my old voice … now if I extend the orignal clip it holds the voice showing the system can handle it… but anything new won’t hold it … this makes it extremely difficult when building something at scale like I am (80 episodes)

well, you could switch to one of the new ones, it will hold those, that's what the feature is all about

No one understands … it worked perfectly I made 140 + characters … then they do the update / wipe all my existing characters voices for new prompts … replaced it with these flat ones … I’ve made thousands of clips to plug and play for episodes … yea switch to one of the new ones and lose thousands of hours of work. Lame . Kling ai lets u upload custom voices and when u extend on grok to a existing clip it works fine it shouldn’t of wiped my voices for my characters

Nice 👍🏾 but now we need Imagine to understand what a great scene should look like. It shouldn’t require the user to provide every detail to generate an Oscar-worthy scene. A scene template where users could generate scenes based on the style of famous movies or directors could be cool. Example: “A woman standing alone in a rain-soaked alley at night looking up at a glowing window. Style: Fincher.” The style should be a built-in template because very few people will understand what the Fincher style of film making is. Examples of other director and film style templates: • Villeneuve: vast negative space, desaturated cool tones, slow deliberate camera, architectural framing • Nolan: IMAX scale, practical weight, cross-cutting tension, deep focus • Deakins lighting as a reusable module • Specific film moods (Blade Runner 2049, Arrival, No Country, etc.) as ready presets @imagine @elon

I was able to clone my voice from the xAI console last night. But I couldn't use it on the web interface.

I'm having a bit a trouble with the video generation pronunciation of some words. Spelling the phonetically doesn't always help either. Is there a best practice or a fix for this that i am overlooking?

you mean the characters pronounce words differently in the end result?

Yes. For example I'm working on it saying Muskopolis. I've tried every phonetic spelling i can think of and it's still pronounced wrong 🙅‍♀️
