I’m old, but when I was growing up gay people just wanted to be able to be gay. They didn’t want any titles or special accolades. They just wanted to live their lives like heteros. We don’t constantly talk about being hetero either. They didn’t want to talk about being gay constantly. We all just wanted to hang out with our friends.

These people are so confused, it's hard to even totally follow what's going on. Her (is this a woman?) "wife" appears to be a gay dude and although she is obviously trying to present as female, she doesn't want to be referred as one of the "ladies." How do people live like this?
