If you look at the CPI in 1900 and you look at it in 1800, it was down by 50%. So for a hundred years in America, prices went down. The FED can not control inflation but they can create it. The cost of a mortgage is not affordable because of the Fed’s intervention on rates. Home prices have not come down, only activity dropped to 15 year lows while mortgage rates tripled. Supply & demand control prices. Let the market place dictate prices. The FED prints dollars to bail out corporations, third world countries and to fund wars but then punishes the American people and small businesses with high rates. End the FED.
