On a cold night under an overpass in Ohio, a homeless man surprised everyone who walked by. Using discarded wiring, old heating elements, and a car battery, he engineered himself a heated mattress to survive the winter chill. The thing runs so hot that if you touch the wrong spot, it feels like lava. One small mistak, and it could mean serious burns, or even a fire. People stopped to stare, half impressed by his ingenuity, half worried about the danger. It’s easy to judge the hazard. Harder to confront the reality that someone had to build something that dangerous just to make it through the night. Is this a story about reckless risk… or about the kind of desperation that pushes someone to invent extreme solutions just to stay warm?

Dr. Daniel Amen dropped a parenting truth bomb: If you do too much for your kids, you’re stealing their self-esteem to build your own. When they struggle or say “I’m bored,” don’t rush in to fix it. Try: “I wonder what you’re going to do about it.” Struggle builds character and real confidence. Constant rescuing doesn’t. This one hit me hard. Jeff Bezos on how to be innovative “To me, true innovation is something that is not only an invention but an improvement,” Jeff explains. “It’s not hard to make things different, but it is hard to make things different and better.” In Jeff’s view, there are endless opportunities for innovation: “Most of the problems in the world already have solutions of one kind or another, and all of those solutions can be improved upon. Pretty good improvement!” It’s hard work though, Jeff caveats: “It’s easy to have ideas. It’s very hard to turn an idea into a successful product. "the people who struggle with coding agents are those who try to push their way too hard. partially why I find coding with agents easy is that I've led engineering teams before". this is a unique view on AI coding, that to maximize your output you have to "let go" a bit and accept that the way AI will build the project might not be 100% aligned with your way, it might not even be 100% correct, but it will push the project forward. and if you realize later that you don't like an approach, you can always go back to it later and iterate over it. so there's not always an absolute total gain, but the overall performance is what matters in the end.

Need to find a new way to beat LBC so now I’m putting the Hole Player AMF as a SS to be more direct. It seems to work way better even when the game is laggy but I’ll keep looking into it to make it more optimized. Also debating between Xabi Alonso and Deschamps purely because of the Xabi link up. That link up is way too good not to have since it gives free goals every game. Maybe if my CBs all had second playstyles it’ll be a bit more defensively solid but so far so good for now.
