NEW: Oklahoma inmate hangs out of the back window of a van in his prison uniform and pleads with drivers to help him escape. The Oklahoma Department of Corrections has confirmed that the incident was legitimate and not a joke. "During a routine transport, an inmate damaged the vehicle and was seen hanging out the back window," the Oklahoma Department of Corrections said in a statement. "Our officers immediately recognized the situation, exited the highway and called for additional law enforcement support. The inmate was safely secured and transported without further incident."

NEW: Prison guard sentenced to 25 years in prison for beating an inmate to death in New York. Former Mid-State Correctional Facility guard Jonah Levi was one of the guards who beat inmate Messiah Nantwi to death. Nantwi was hit 69 times with batons, feet, and fists. Levi was accused of stomping on the 22-year-old's head, who later died at the hospital. "I think the real you was shown to me in the body-worn camera," Judge Michael Nolan said during sentencing. "You were fist-bumping other officers, laughing and joking while Mr. Nantwi lay on the floor, dying in the infirmary because of the things you and those other officers did." All the other guards pleaded guilty in plea deals. Levi was hit with the maximum sentence of 25 years in state prison with five years of post-release supervision. He will be 65 years old when he is released from prison.

New video has emerged of Alex Pretti clashing with federal officers 11 days before he was shot dead in Minneapolis. The footage shows the nurse taken to the ground by ICE officers after swearing at them kicking their vehicle and smashing a tail light. After he breaks free, what appears to be a handgun is visible in his waistband but he does not reach for it. It's not known if any officers at this incident were also there when Pretti was killed last Saturday. Two of those involved in the fatal shooting have now been placed on administrative leave.
