Except, at no point have we ever found the rest of the wings, we have only ever found those little nubs. Now, it's pefectly reasonable for those little wings to have been small wings, that maybe served a purpose. As well as the T-rex being covered in feathers.

Why is a t-rex not a dragon? Exactly because of the little nubs. Your chicken totally sucks at flying and it has way larger wings than the t-rex in comparison. And the other wings shown were comparable to bats who have very, very long fingers that spread those wings. There are dinosaurs that have those, too. Like the pterodactyl. And they have very, very long fingers, too. To spread those wings.

Trex couldn't be, they'd need like a football sized wingspan to fly a body that big Now, raptors on the other hand...
