@MostlyTechPod Check out the full episode on YouTube, where you can see I'm clearly a good 5" taller than Aaron:

@MostlyTechPod @aarondfrancis Just got to the part where you were talking about the OTP login. I know you’re having fun building stuff but if you’re looking for some ideas I have a package called OTPz that includes the mentioned security considerations and more.

I was looking for some premium components the other day. I’m in the camp that would gladly buy some premium components from tailwind. When it comes to more complicated ui that vibe coding just can’t handle right now and usually spit out a bunch of spaghetti.. like kanban boards, file uploaders, workflow builders, image/video editors..

@aarondfrancis @MostlyTechPod Great episode. My take: Don’t overthink things. Rebrand tailwind labs channel to just tailwind css. Keep your own channel. Pivot to building other things. (Like 37 signals). Stream that on your own channel. Don’t focus too much on tailwind on your personal channel.

@aarondfrancis @MostlyTechPod Do you have any plan if some AI startup will train on you “taste” or there’s nothing tou can do about it? I mean, if you can’t fight it than no one can. Or this is not a big threat to you, since you already have distribution?

@aarondfrancis @MostlyTechPod No real plan! Would do something completely different probably, or just retire.

Hey, thanks a lot for this episode - I really enjoyed listening. It was great to hear your thoughts on growing Tailwind and the direction it’s going. Medium+ Courses Big thumbs up for leaning toward mid/senior-level content. Some people are great at teaching beginners without going deep – and that’s very needed. But you have a unique and deep knowledge of CSS that could really help more experienced developers level up. You’re in a great position to teach advanced topics and help those people take the next step. YouTube Channels While listening to your talk about the YouTube channel, I had an idea about a possible structure – a mental model, maybe a bit off from your view, but I think it’s worth sharing: Tailwind Labs Channel Use this as the “official” Tailwind CSS channel – a place for framework updates. You could post every few months with new version releases, feature overviews, breaking changes, and migration tips. These videos can go with your Twitter announcements and help people stay up to date in a more visual way. That also brings more traffic to YouTube and keeps the channel active. When you release something new – like Templates, Refactoring UI 2, or the course platform – this channel could be a strong place to promote it. Because the videos won’t be too frequent, each one will get more attention. Adam Wathan’s Personal Channel Keep this as a personal, creative space — like an “Adam Wathan Club.” Most people will follow Tailwind Labs for updates, but there’s a strong group who follow you for your ideas and personality. This channel can include Tailwind-related content, of course, but also: - home studio/office setup - work streams - fitness - music - any other personal interests or behind-the-scenes content So, Tailwind Labs stays focused and professional – a solid, simple tool for company updates. Meanwhile, your personal channel becomes a space to share what matters to you. Even if the numbers are smaller, the people there are your real audience – the ones who follow you for you. That’s why I follow you on Twitter, and I’d love to follow you on YouTube too. 🤘
