Had a pretty productive week. Flow is such a strange state, it feels almost sublime when you’re in it. Grok 4.5 in Cursor certainly played a big part in that. - Upgraded the dungeon visuals to make it feel more atmospheric - Redesigned 18 enemies and added different enemy... show more

This could be the next slay the spire bro

Iol this game is inspired by slay the spire but probably cant compare to the legendary slay the spire! 😂

Looking good. Do you make art with AI too?

Thanks! Yup the art is made with AI too

Then, something wrong with my art skill to steer AI, tried to make 2D art with OpenAI imagen few months ago and it looked like slop especially if make game on Steam.

I vibe coded a separate custom art gen tool hooked up to ChatGPT images 2.0 and its pretty denent, it's not perfect so I had to manually edit it in photoshop ocassionally.

Very juicy, me likey

Thanks man! 🙌

This game really doesn't look like it was vibe-coded, and I mean it in a good way.

Thank you! Hearing this means a lot to me

cute

A game I definitely would play, awesome work Danny!

Thank you Dani!

This looks super fun and polished already congrats! When you said you had grok restructure the cards, can you talk more about the process? I'm building a card deck for another project and have put off creating all the artwork to put them and the descriptions together onto a template whilst I work on other things

Thanks! I asked grok to structure the whole refactor process with a similar prompt like this

Thanks for sharing this! Will try a similar prompt to this for my project over the weekend. Thanks Danny!

looks really cool! keep going buddy!! actually you should reach out to and make games for other IP brand companies!

able to add like a togglemotion sickness mode/reduction of motion? when a lot of things are parallax moving at once in certain ways in the video, it gets me motion sick (and if I am, there are others who probably are)

Way to go and nice looking steam page! I know what you mean, ai is a sweet spot for maintaining flow states because there is no blockers that would typically interrupt the creative process. It’s just you and your model. I’ve been using Claude and codex for my projects, I have two more in que and I think I’ll try grok for at least one of those.

Thank you! 100% this. Yeah it's so good for the creative process because the feedback loop is so short.

Danny amazing work my dude. So excited to see you build our your own studio. Keep posting man, you get me fired up to finish my slog.

Appreciate it Joseph! Thanks for keeping me going!

Look superb. Love how it naturally goes from exploring to handling cards. Very smooth transition.

Thanks Magory! Awesome that you noticed the transition

Looks good! Will wishlist!

Thank you!

Man this is looking really nice! The animations are so crisp. Love the enemy slice effect.

Thanks Ryan!

Looks really awesome. When can we playtest?!

Thanks man! Hopefully soon! Trying to finish up Act 1 content first.

I always love your polish and fine details xD You ever do haptics? Make the trackpad feel like it’s in the game, or phone screen game controller or maybe idk if some mice have haptics / rumble

This is the first AI game that almost don't look like AI slop. Very nice aesthetic, but some illustrations are kinda generic.

this looks great!

Amazing !!

Looks super juicy!

How is it going WL wise on Steam ?

1.8k wishlists so far. Not too bad i guess!

Ow nice already !

crushing it man!

Thank you!

This is looks like a lot of fun mate.

Thank you!

I love games with card mechanics like this. And the style looks awesome. I would add a little drag to the movement of the arms/held items though. Since the rotation movement is so fast, keeping the on screen body parts/items static betrays expectation. So, when the person rotates to the left, the fire of the torch should drag to the opposite direction, to the right.

Yes! Great suggestion. Will see what I can do to add that

Fantastic job 👏

this is sick. @PeaTeaSix - I feel like you'd be a big fan

I hit nirvana the other day with my game. Weeks of no motivation. Then I got really productive and I NAILED player animations and controlling allies with commands and.. it made me feel such pride. I just stared at in amazement and thought "I made this piece by piece and it works"

Hire an artist next

sounds like you're tryna downplay the AI usage and how it did literally everything, with the verbiage on the steam store. any reason the AI disclosure doesn't say "every piece of art and code in this game is AI generated"?

Isn’t it funny how suddenly everyone has “flow” now that AI does everything for you.

This looks really cool! Nice work. I like the visuals and the style of gameplay.

Insane

What's your overall setup in Cursor? Are you using a game engine?

Yes, very nice. Im diggin' the flow and the music fits nicely with the atmosphere. What are you using for sound generation?
