thank you, thank you, thank you to all the people there last night. I loved this show so much. I can't tell you. Everything about it was right. The set list, the band. I felt so happy to be on that stage from beginning to end. Like I told you, I was a wreck all day maybe even the last few days worrying about how we could make it better than the last show from the previous residency. Right now I think we did it now we got a job to do. This is gonna be a touff one to beat.

Yesterday’s video was flagged so it’s coming down. We’ll see what impact that has on this one. Yesterday I laid in bed most of the day and tried to eat more. Over the weekend I’m down 2 pounds which is pretty normal for me. Hopefully this week I can put the weight back on. I don’t want to dirty bulk but I might have to in order to get to the weight I want.

How bold of you to lie and say that I cleared our chats. I knew you would try to pull this off, so I was prepared for it. 😉 I took a record of our chat before you cleared it. I have screenshots too, but if I posted those, you would have said they were edited. So I made a video instead. You can clearly see from my conversation with you that I was skeptical about taking the deal because everything just seemed shady to me. I don't care about the amount of money you want to pay me for promotion. If a project can't provide evidence that its team is legitimate and not trying to pull off some shady acts, I won't accept any deals from them.

UPDATE: I’M ABLE TO SPEAK AGAIN!! I been talking since Tuesday. For those that aren’t familiar with tracheotomies, because of the open hole in my throat, it prevents me from speaking because air goes out the trach rather than up through your voice box. So in order for me to speak, I have a cap called a speaking valve (the purple cap). What it does is cover the trach to allow the air I breathe to go through my nose and mouth again while stopping air from coming out my throat, allowing my voice to come out. It’s a really big adjustment and what should feel like breathing normal doesn’t feel natural at all. I can only wear it for a short time before getting tired for now. A week ago I didn’t even know how to breathe with it on, but last night I had it on for the longest I’ve had so far and it felt comfortable. So there’s hope to getting back to normalcy. I Still have to adjust to my daily life with this thing in my throat. Still not comfortable gaming or sitting for long period of time because of the position I need to be in. It’s getting better though. Hopefully it’s still just part of the healing process. Also. Thank you to the community for giving me the confidence to post videos and pictures of myself in the most unflattering situations.

For me, a small gesture in this brief video shows what kind of person Pope Francis was. Last summer, Pope Francis was reported to have used an Italian-language slur for LGBTQ people and made some negative comments about gay priests. It seemed so out of character with the person I knew, had met and corresponded with, and who had always expressed his desire to care for LGBTQ people pastorally. Not long after these reports, in June, I was at the Vatican, having helped to arrange a papal audience for comedians. A few days before that audience, I met with the Holy Father at the Casa Santa Marta and we talked about his comments. For me, it was hard to bring up the topic, but a cardinal friend of mine encouraged me. But Pope Francis seemed eager to talk about it and told me he knew many holy and faithful gay seminarians and priests, and encouraged me to share his comments publicly, which I did (after asking him a few times exactly how to word it). And it turned out that he didn’t realize how offensive the slur was and said he’d never use it again. After that, the conversation turned to other, more relaxed, matters: the US church, the Synod, and so on. It happened to be the 25th anniversary of my ordination to the priesthood and so before leaving Casa Santa Marta, I knelt down and he blessed me. As always, it was a great gift to be with him. A few days later, at the papal audience for comedians, along with the rest of the guests, I was invited up to greet the Holy Father in the Sala Clementina, which was captured in this video. You can see that I thank him for inviting me and my laughing because we joked about my being a "famous American comedian." I start to leave, since I know he’s busy, but then he gently pulls me back and surprised me by thanking me for our conversation a few days earlier. He said that he needed to hear that and was grateful for our conversation and then gave me a thumbs up. Afterwards, I thought: Who does that? What world leader thanks someone for a challenging conversation? For me, that small gesture says a great deal about Pope Francis’s humility, openness and freedom, as well his willingness to listen and learn. Weren’t we blessed to have him in our midst?

It’s still hard for me to walk, but I think it’s just bruises and a burn (at least I hope so) 😅 Today, on my birthday, I’m limping, and by the way… my rented motorbike got hit for the second time today!! 😨😨 Two accidents in one day on my birthday. I have no idea what’s going on, but the second time, only the motorbike was damaged, not me I’m so glad I prepared some birthday content in advance, because it would be really hard to do that now 😅 I’ll share it soon. Thank you to everyone who’s worried about me 💖💖💖
