It's not setting the plates up that's the problem for perpetual energy extraction, its separating the plates after. Sonny White has developed an asymmetry in a microchip that harnesses it without plates. Think of it like a one way road. ZPE is not the lowest ground state, that's why ZPE exists, because when you take everything away, there's still energy left. Not nothing.
