We live in a red state. We had a few hundreds of trick or treaters. The street was full of happy noises. Kids were having a lot fun.

I didn’t get a single trick or treater either, it’s so sad

It truly is

We had literally hundreds of trick or treaters last night. It all depends on where you live. Small town America hasn’t forgotten the spirit of Halloween.

Ya'll need to come to Mr. ROGERS neighborhood. 😉🥰

Where!?

@TeslaDarth Where white neighborhoods are. High trust society. Get it before its gone forever.

@TaraBull shut the fuck up you piece a shit.

@TaraBull Truth hurts.

@TaraBull stfu lizzo

I had hundreds at my house !! I post a video of my candy a few hours before to our neighborhood email group 👻🎃💀

Nothing feels the same anymore.

No one is having kids... not really surprising... wait til 30 years from now

This year, we had constant and large groups of trick-or-treaters from 5:30pm until we ran out of candy at 8:47pm. I actually had to turn kids away as I dropped the last sole piece of candy into the other child's bag. I felt horrible! When I drove through my neighborhood at 9:43pm to go get food, I saw STILL about SEVENTY PEOPLE out trick-or-treating. We had more this year than last year. The kids were also very respectful and patient. When I gave the last candy, the three boys that just got the last pieces reached into their buckets and grabbed a LARGE handful of candy to put into my bowl. I immediately stopped them, and told them that was THEIR booty, and they keep it, but that I was proud of them for their immediate response of kindness and generosity. I was very happily surprised this year. It was fabulous and we had so much fun with all of the families coming up to the door. Yes, even the older kids..I am glad they still get out and participate in the fun, with a positive and respectful manner. We had a blast this year! 🎃🧡🖤💚💜🎃

We had a ton of trick or treaters in our neighborhoods this year. Weather was great, and some houses really went all out on a good display.

So glad I grew up in a time where we didn’t trick or treat in a damn parking lot.

We had an amazing night! Friends and family on our front porch with what seemed like half the town coming to trick or treat!

@Albert__Priada No one again this year.

Why dress up like a zombie when you've been living like a zombie for the last few years, staring at a screen?

We had 700 people no joke this was my son

😊
Not here. We gave out over 300 treats. Literally waves of kids. I heard many a ”thank you and thank you, sir”. Also heard ”bless you”. Texas.

We are doing it up big time in Florida!!

Wow, I thought i was the only one, my neighborhood was empty and we give out the good stuff!! Not good

Yeah Halloween used to be about sugar rushes & spooking neighbors now it’s just adults posting costumes on Instagram 🎃📱 Random fact: Americans once handed out homemade donuts on Halloween before candy companies turned it into a billion dollar industry

It doesn't help that the average home buyer age in 2024 was 56 according to NAR. The federal government spending has brought us to where we are today. It's supposed to be free markets. But it's not.

My kids trick or treated for 2 hours last night. Our neighborhood was going all out - as it does every year. Even the teens were out and they were really respectful …

A lot of churches do trunk or treat & have cookouts with upbeat Christian music & bouncy houses/inflatable obstacle courses. It keeps the kids safe.

Too many dumb asses are stopping their kids from trick or treating saying it's satanic. Halloween is celebrated annually on October 31, marking the eve of All Hallows' Day, which honors saints and the faithful departed. Its origins trace back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, which celebrated the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter

We ran out of candy

I saw a good take on this yesterday. All the neighborhoods are owned by empty nesters and younger people with kids can't afford to buy anymore so they live in apartments. The people who do have kids and live in the houses are far and few between. My take is people are too afraid to go trick or treating and go to community held events at churches instead. When parents see posts online about people lacing candy with drugs to give to the maga kids, I don't blame them.

We noticed the same. Halloween was lame this year. Total middle to upper class mostly single family homes We had like four groups come by and they weren't even from the neighborhood.

It was perfect in my lil town. My oldest 2 brought their lil ones up and we did a trunk or treat at a church then walked up n down the road. Tons of people were out, and after 15min my grandbaby had a full bag. My DIL said it was nice having a safe, traditional trick or treating.

Grocery store "Trunk'R Treats" are the problem not the solution. We had 55 kids one year, I dressed up as Spider-Man & we put out a hotdog roller, we tried to be the place you will remember as an adult. Local grocery store set up Trunk next year, we had 1 or 2 trick or treaters. Near the end of the night we dumped all the candy into one kids bag lol, so at least someone had a good night. The year after that we didn't buy candy at all & put out a fuck off sign lol. The grocery store didn't do another Trunk so the kids all around town got a lack luster Halloween since no one wanted to put in the effort after the grocery store took all the trick or treaters. The problem with Trunk is when they don't do it the people are no longer invested planning for kids to come by. I hate Trunk, it's not to help, they just hope you spend more money at the grocery store. I bet this happens all over, I hate Trunk'R Treat!

It’s safer to go trunk or treating at churches now that pretty lively parties good music fun vibes and games. Just go to churches on Halloween that’s where everything‘s going down now it’s sad that it has to be this way but it’s safer for the kids. I get it I’m a millennial too I remember how things used to be but things aren’t like that anymore we have to adapt Halloween can still happen.

We had over 60 kids come to the door, and it was pouring out!! They had a blast.

Well the trust is gone and rightfully so. People would put razor blades in apples and put drugs in the candy to hurt children. It only takes a few crazies to ruin it for everyone. When I was a kid, sometimes people would bake cookies and put them in baggies etc. Parents want their children to be safe. The old Halloween was meant for a different time.

Last night was the weakest night ever. My neighborhood used to be overrun, but it’s been tailing off for years. I feel like last night it finally died

Houston last night.

Trunk or treat ruined Halloween.

We went to like four neighborhoods, a trucker-treat and a to Halloween in the Park … I don’t know where these people live but my town was packed. They closed the streets in multiple neighborhoods.
