Everyone tried this strategy in the original, just to be swarmed by jumping flood forms. Even in H3, the AI for this form was smart enough to morph into its mobile or range forms to engage targets it lost pathing to. This isn’t a remake. It’s a Frankenstein reboot.

Why is 343 (I don't care the name was changed) still allowed to touch Halo games? Their entre run with Halo has been ever escalating levels of garbage. What they are doing is cultural vandalism.

Halo: Combat Devolved. Now only 50 dollars. Without meaningful multiplayer. And weird modern sensibilities in the scripting. And being generally shit. But hey, it's shiny, right? (Never mind that it's so shiny it gets visually confusing during high-intensity moments in places). Modern games really are toddlers enthralled with shiny keys.

Lol, the whole point of the Pure forms is that they can shapeshift to adjust to how you're engaging them. Did the tards who made this even play the game that they pulled this enemy design from?

It's not just a gameplay issue. They shouldn't even be there at all. Pure forms show up in Halo 3, because the infection is far more widespread, progressing significantly. Their release in Halo: CE is recent, and they're barely starting to collect biomass by the end of the game.

There is already talks about script being AI generated because of the awkward pauses in cutscenes. I wouldn't be shocked if they just had AI port enemies into the game along with their behaviors but didn't bother to add in additional behaviors for proper environmental interactions.

My question will always be why play this when Master Chief collection is right there. You get 1, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, and 4 for the people who like it. Hours of content for a fraction of the price and it isn’t broken anymore made by people who gave a shit and wanted to make halo.

Halo: Combat Evolved is one of the greatest video games ever made. It pushed not only FPS but all games ahead leaps and bounds and changed the trajectory of the industry. And THIS is how they modernized it.? What a joke.

i don't even like the over-indulgence with the flood biomass everywhere. Nitpicky perhaps, but wouldn't it be more effective to slowly ramp it up as the game goes on to show the contrast of how the flood grows in power instead of front-loading it instantly in 343 guilty spark?

Yeah I stopped getting excited when I heard about the new enemy types. One of the biggest reasons CE still holds up is the entire sandbox and how balanced a lot of enemy placements were - even rocket Flood. Suddenly adding new AI means more shit like this.
