“Vince was shaking his head in bemusement" Chris Jericho hilariously recalled in his book how this chaotic situation happened, #OnThisDayInWWE 25 years ago (yesterday): “Road Dogg ran into the dressing room at full speed ‘Vince wants you in the Gorilla position right now!’ ‘Why?’ ‘You’ve got to introduce Kid Rock!’ ‘What? Why?’ ‘Cause I was supposed to do it but I’m a heel and Vince just decided he wants you to do it instead! He’s on in two minutes! I thought he was ribbing me. I threw on some pants and sprinted as fast as I could from the dressing room to the stage As I barreled past Kid Rock and rounded the corner I heard him say, ‘Don’t fuck this up, Chris!’ I took the stairs two at a time and plowed into Gorilla just as a roadie put a mic in my hand ‘What do you want me to say, Vince?’ ‘Whatever you want, you’re the rock star. Just get out there and do it now!’ After I finished being Kid’s hype man, his band came out and I was trapped I couldn’t stay on the stage, I couldn’t run down to the ring, and I couldn’t go back into Gorilla because his band members were filing out and the song was about to start Plus a bunch of pyro was supposed to go off, but I didn’t know where it was coming from and didn’t want to get Hetfelded So I was scrambling around trying to find a place to hide when I noticed a hole between the stage and the back area and jumped into the seven-foot drop I was safe from the pyro and out of everybody’s way, but then realised that I had a whole new problem: there was no way out of the hole I was too short to pull myself out and I was surrounded by crates and wires, so there was no way to weasel my way out from underneath the stage Finally a stagehand popped his head over the edge and helped pull me out As I climbed out of the hole I saw 15,000 people pointing their fingers at me and laughing I gave them a golf wave and sheepishly walked back through Gorilla Vince was shaking his head in bemusement. Court Jester Jericho had struck again”

Michael Iskander, the actor who portrays King David in the hit Prime Video series “House of David,” announced earlier this year that he had converted to Catholicism. Born and raised as a Coptic Orthodox, he does not see his conversion as a rejection of his roots; instead, it is “answering a calling from God.” The 24-year-old actor, who was born in Egypt but came to the United States as a child, sat down with CNA for an exclusive interview in October and spoke candidly about his recent conversion and faith. Iskander’s journey toward Catholicism started several years ago when he happened to stumble into St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan. Although tourists filled the historic cathedral, Iskander went in, sat down in a pew, put his head down, and felt “as if nothing existed.” “I looked at the altar knowing that’s where the Eucharist lies and I’m like, ‘I want the Eucharist.’ And I remember feeling this moment of extreme holiness,” he recalled. “I was like, ‘This is where the Eucharist is.’ And I put my head down and I started weeping for an hour straight — not praying, nothing, just weeping. And it felt like nobody else was there except for me and God.” He credited that day with planting the seed of his interest in Catholicism. From then on, he began attending Mass. As he learned more about King David in preparation for the show, that interest, which became a calling, kept growing. After he finished filming Season 2 of “House of David,” Iskander got in contact with a priest in his area to go over questions he had about Catholicism. After a nearly two-hour conversation, he told the priest he wanted to convert. Because the Catholic Church recognizes sacraments from the Coptic Orthodox church as valid, Iskander took part in a profession of faith during a Mass for him held on Aug. 21. One part of the Mass in particular stood out to Iskander: when the priest read the responsorial psalm, which was Psalm 89 and included the verses that talk about the anointing of David. Trump and JD Vance, suffered a diplomatic humiliation so brutal they had to cancel the press conference. Zelensky entered the room as a wartime leader defending his country. JD Vance? Aggressively demanding "gratitude" like a desperate enforcer for a failed mob boss. Zelensky, unfazed, clowned them all. He systematically dismantled Trump's fantasy "deal-making" delusions, exposing how Putin has broken 25 agreements before, and why Trump's "just do a ceasefire" nonsense was a surrender script straight out of Moscow. And then came JD Vance's meltdown. The moment Zelensky reminded the room that Ukraine is the only thing stopping Russia from moving further into Europe, JD lost it. He turned red, shouting "show gratitude!", attacking a wartime leader like some insecure middle manager trying to impress the boss. And what did Trump do? He sat there, nodding along, too weak to control the room. Vance was spiraling, Zelensky was tearing apart their pathetic foreign policy, and Trump was rambling about minerals like a senile landlord fixated on parking lot renovations. It got so bad they canceled the signing ceremony. They scrapped the press conference. And Zelensky walked out early. MAGA told you Trump would command "respect on the world stage." Instead, the world watched as he got humiliated in his own office by a man fighting a war. #TrumpHumiliation #MAGAWeakness #Zelensky #JDVance #Ukraine #DiplomacyFail #PutinsPuppets #GOPClownShow #Geopolitics #ForeignPolicy #WWIII #TrumpSurrender #Trump #MAGA

Little Richard explains why being yourself, loudly and unapologetically, is the only way to live: In a 1972 interview, the self-proclaimed King of Rock and Roll was asked about his journey from dishwasher to superstar. His origin story is remarkable in its simplicity: "I was a dishwasher at the Greyhound bus station in my hometown Macon, Georgia. I had been washing plates for so long I was tired and I wrote Tutti Frutti and Good Golly Miss Molly. Bless your soul. I got out of the kitchen. Long Tall Sally just took me on to California and I stayed there." When Ray Connolly suggested Little Richard might be shy, his response was pure Little Richard: "Let it all hang out with the beautiful Little Richard from down in Macon, Georgia. I am the king of rock and roll. Oh my my my my. I just had to do that now. I feel so much better. I got it out." He came from a big family. His mother had 12 kids, and Little Richard had six brothers and five sisters. While his siblings became CPAs and nurses, he was the only one in show business. His explanation? "They don't like to dress like I do. I like to put it on." And he meant it. Every day, grocery store included: "Every day I go to the grocery store like this and people turn around. When I walked in the airport here in London today, a man dropped his cup of coffee." On wearing makeup, he offered a philosophy that doubles as life advice: "You're supposed to wear makeup. Just like when you toast your bread, I put sugar in your coffee. You're supposed to add a little touch to it." But the line that captures his entire worldview came when he was asked if he always dresses so flamboyantly: "I think everybody's supposed to do their own thing. This is what you call doing your own thing time."

How many of you know John Ezeobi? Four Reasons Why John Ezeobi is a Role Model for Young Igbo Entrepreneurs Foremost industrialist and businessman, Engr. John Ezeobi, is fast becoming one of the most respected young industrialists in Nigeria. His story goes beyond personal success. It is a testament to resilience, focus, and the power of vision. For the next generation of Igbo and Nigerian entrepreneurs, Ezeobi’s journey offers valuable lessons. Here are four key reasons why young Nigerians should see him as a role model: 1. He Started Very Small Ezeobi’s rise is a true reflection of resilience, vision, and determination. Coming from a middle-class background, he studied Political Science at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT). Despite his academic path, his entrepreneurial drive led him to learn the art of trading in Onitsha. In 2006, while still a university student, he started what would later grow into Zobis Cables Nigeria Limited today a household name in the electrical manufacturing industry. With just ₦1,350 in savings, he made his first supply and earned a profit of ₦8,000. That small success opened his eyes to the limitless possibilities of trade. From that humble beginning, Ezeobi quietly built an industrial empire rising from a small-time trader to a formidable manufacturer and business leader. 2. He is Focused Unlike many of his contemporaries in this ‘Dorime generation’ who chase fame and frivolities, the 41-year-old businessman leads a disciplined and simple lifestyle. He consciously avoids unnecessary distractions, flashy awards, and ostentatious living. Instead, he channels his energy into building sustainable ventures. Even his social affiliations are strategic, used as platforms for networking, collaboration, and business growth, not mere leisure. His clarity of purpose and consistency remain some of his greatest strengths. 3. He is Courageous Few people of his age and background would dare to dream as boldly as Ezeobi. From trading in Onitsha, he took the bold leap into full-scale manufacturing, a move that transformed his fortunes. Today, Zobis has offices in Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Aba, with a modern cable factory in Anambra State and a state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in Abuja. His vision extends beyond Nigeria, with ambitions to help solve Africa’s electricity challenges while diversifying into real estate, oil, and gas. To him, true wealth lies not just in money, but in solving problems and adding value. 4. He is an Investor and Employer of Labour While many lament Nigeria’s harsh economic environment, Ezeobi continues to expand and invest. His company, Zobis, has become not only a success story but also one of Anambra’s biggest job providers. Through his enterprises, countless Nigerians have gained employment, mentorship, and skills training. For Ezeobi, empowerment through jobs and skills is the most sustainable path to Africa’s transformation. His belief in investing in people underscores his commitment to community growth and national development. For these reasons and more, Engr. John Ezeobi stands out as a shining example for aspiring entrepreneurs. He is living proof that discipline, courage, focus, and resilience can transform the smallest beginnings into global success stories. The Ezeobi story is not just one of personal triumph, it is a powerful source of inspiration and instruction for a new generation determined to build, innovate, and lead.
