But more fundamentally, when will the @BBC be held accountable for: 1) their blatant bias which has dreadful consequences for the Jewish community, generating hatred and disturbances in the many parts of the world? 2) for damaging the standards we expect to be upheld by our national broadcaster? How can this once great institution be trusted again if it appears partial and at times like the mouthpiece of extremists?

Totally false - it was Israeli commentators who claimed it as a hit and then later retracted - people were not responding to Hamas statements but official Israeli comment

Yes,but it should also be pointed out that it is not only Jewish people that are affected.Hamas hates anyone who is a "non-believer".

I suspect 1 or 2 honourable members on the other benches were sitting rather uncomfortably at this point.
