Dude in obs you have to hit “start virtual camera” then in discord you select the virtual camera. Cmon man

I gathered up all the tea leaves from this batch of Double Tap and hired another etsy witch to read them and she said to use the virtual camera

Idk if you've already done this, but you can use the obs source as a virtual camera. On OBS there should be a button that says "Start Virtual camera" Then select the virtual camera as the camera for discord in settings.

probably caused by obs hogging the camera as it was using it first, try use obs virtual camera as camera input on discord

Hey Eli, idk if you thought of it, but camera sources can only be used by 1 program at a time (either discord or obs) unless you use a program that splits the camera feed into 2+ different feeds. That can be the only thing I can think of without looking further into the issue.

I always learn what I don't know from you guys.

IN many operating systems only one device is allowed to use the camera, microphone, and other inputs at any given time, you might want to make a virtual camera in OBS, then pass that through to discord

To my knowledge most programs don’t like splitting the outputs between OBS and any other source Use OBS virtual cam to output your OBS to discord, screen share OBS, OR get a shitty webcam so they can atleast see you, and then the final product has good video

... its probably a filter effect, it happening all the time means you preset a saved scene. scene -> video filters; you'll find what you done did
