I get that customers don’t have to comply, but with a cart full of high-priced, unbagged items, it seems like common sense could’ve avoided all of this. Would a clear sign at the door about receipt checks for expensive items be reasonable, or does that cross the line for paying customers?

🙄The check out girl comes out of the restroom to a mostly empty store and she’s a lady at the self checkout and goes over to have a look, she asks the lady for a receipt and she hands her a receipt with two items on it, when she is questioned about the other items in her cart she accuses the clerk of accusing her of stealing, am I missing something here ? Is this just another case of someone trying to provoke employees into a viral post ?

This store recently changed its return policy and has it posted. No exchanges and returns without a receipt for anything over $50 due to rampant fraud and theft. He acknowledges he doesn’t have a receipt and he acknowledges that they can’t exchange it and he says that’s fine I just want to swap it out. It’s literally the same thing. It only takes one person to ruin it for everyone.
