Hans Zimmer wanted to mirror Lex with Superman. Using the same note structure but at different tones and speed, and slightly flipped, Lex’s theme is a warped, backwards perversion of Superman’s theme. Genius.

Damn that is genius. I loved Lex’s theme - perfect for his level of quirky villainy (and I appreciate how it becomes more complex and tragic toward the end). But I still never picked up on it being a mirror of Superman’s theme. 👏🏾

Now imagine what Lex death theme was going to be when he was taking the bomb into Darkseids ship
