Why share the complexities of a long lasting relationship with a bunch of people that can’t make it past situationships and talking phases. Like trying to teach trigonometry to someone that only can do basic arithmetic.

it’s not being a pick me or a simp if you’re happily married cuz there’s adequate reciprocity 😭 mfs sayin otherwise are just miserable

If there is ever a time to be a simp or pick me it’s for your wife/husband/partner. Do you know what it’s like living with someone who hates you?

*taps sign*

Marriage goes against societal norms and people are afraid of giving up their selfishness for selflessness.

All facts! I simp for my wife everyday and she continues to have me pick her everyday! Been together since 2002 and still going strong. 20th anniversary in July. We couldn't care less about what other people think... WE DO US!

Cause what works in my home won’t work in another because folks is talking shit in a 300 sq ft studio; people who can’t even keep a plant alive tryna judge folks in relationships
You must've recorded this yesterday, cuz that "50-50 was the only way we was going to get to 100" made the ground shake & prolly caused that earfquake in Japan.

Been with my husband for almost 17 years. If you don’t have room for give and take, and if you can’t stfu and say I’m sorry, you not gonna work with anybody.

Man I was just talking about this yesterday Love the message Kevin

Real 💯

99% of convos re: relationships on social media are ppl projecting their own relationship trauma on to someone else’s relationship that has no correlation to that person’s situation. Relationship advice should be love yourself fully, be honest, & lead with love. That’s it.

It’s not even gatekeeping. We all saw how our own household may have functioned slightly differently from how our friends’ households worked. Now everybody gets on social media and want to act like we grew up living with the Huxtables

Ppl been misusing and misrepresenting the word simp. You’re a simp if you give a woman attention and she doesn’t acknowledge your or give you the time of the day. You just a fan. That’s a simp.

It’s hilarious cause majority of the commentary comes from people who ain’t and/or won’t ever be married 😭

I dont even think its gatekeeping, we're just minding our business being happily married. We can't relate to all this miserable mess.

Absolutely speaking truth! 💯I got married at 23 and we’ve been going strong 33 years just because nobody but God and us control what happens in our house!

Facts. I keep my mouth shut about 99% of these online relationship conversations for this exact reason. The judgement folks feel comfortable expressing when they learn you do things differently makes you want to keep everything to yourself … even when your system could help them

Happily married people take care of each other without worrying about if theyre being scammed. There is no masculine, feminine bs. Just two people doing what they can when they can

I think the foundational premise here is TRUST. You can do basically anything with and for someone you trust and aren’t worried that they’re taking advantage of your vulnerability in serving them at a high level. Part of what reinforces this is reciprocity in a broad sense.

You tell ‘em. Fuck the gate, anyway. Let’s talk about how everybody wants to see solid couples fail because they did. I’m talking about everybody. Rare is the person who can just be happy for you working what works. That’s the real secret. Secret haters acting like they aren’t.

Yep. I saw how social media bullied that woman for just saying she likes to have a cup of coffee on her porch with her husband

You can't simp for your wife. Its your wife. Can't be a pickme for your husband...you got picked.

What works for you, works for you. As long as both of yall are happy ITS ALL THAT MATTERS!! Love each other, goof around, pray together, go or God but be HAPPY. Honestly, bump what anyone gotta say. They’re miserable anyways.

If yall knew the half i do for my wife I definitely would be called a simp. Who cares! 6 yrs strong!

@ETCTacoma Who gives a shit Find your right person and make it work Simple

As a married man of 25 yrs, everything you just said is actual and factual! Well said sir!

I love that you two have been blessings to one another from the beginning. May you continue to bless each other and our world for years to come.

We’ve been married for 26 years, we try to give each other 100%/100%. Sometimes it’s 70/30, 60/40, 80/20, etc but the goal is always 100/100% plus lots of communication and compromise. Still the best decision I have ever made.

My wife once allowed me to give our down payment for our first house to the church, because I believed God told me to do it. Now the house we have now is 2x the size of that house. Just a little humble brag on my wife and My God!!!

Learned that a long time ago. People will talk out you of a relationship while putting up with all kind of rachet 💩. Draw YOUR own lines in the sand and keep your business to yourself. If it’s working for you, don’t try to fix what ain’t broken.

This is very true. Marriage isn’t a one size fit all concept. Two individuals choosing to go through life together.

I beg to differ. Some of it sounds miserable, depressing and neglectful as hell.

Damn, this the truth right here.
