Pretty sure I'd only seen the blue hues before, so I have a natural inclination toward it... But shucks to whatever I might think looks better... which one was Woo's original intention? I wouldn't want multiple choice with any movie, I want to see what the director intended.

He regraded it for the Criterion release back in the day from what I remember.

John Woo copied the blue light effects from Terminator 2. There is also a reference to the box of flowers containing a gun in the film.

Dont think it’s subjective at all. The bottom is straight up missing the filters. Same with OUATIC eureka release that was missing night / blue filters for some shots that criterion ended up fixing, finding, and putting back in.

Subjective in the sense of what people like. I think the HKR release followed the Criterion release of this film which John Woo had a hand in on the grading if I remember correctly.

A Legend of Turmoil 修羅の伝説 [1992] Directed By: Seiji Izumi I remember when I first saw this amazing film with Akira Kobayashi and this scene came up on how much it reminded me of John Woo's, "A Better Tomorrow " When Mark is entering the venue. Even the the camera work and the target with the white suit. But this scene in particular with the music, the snow and the fluorescent lighting amplifies on what is going to go down. Beautiful all around scene till the very end.
