Hard Boiled [1992] Directed By: John Woo. Like I mentioned earlier I'm very curious on what Shout is aiming for in the color grading front. So here is a look for reference on two different releases. Mei Ah and HKR. I just love that blue when the bikes come in and the overall vibe of the scene on the Mei Ah. Is subjective at the end of the day.

The extras packed 4K UHD / Blu-ray disc for The Running Man Movie is out TODAY. It's loaded with 2 HOURS of extra material - just the way you like it. As another sneak peak at the goodies, here's a commercial using all of the amazing 'HARDEST HITS' sequences put together by our stunt team. The use of 'Ode To Joy' is a little nod to the 1988 TV spot of 'Die Hard'. It was cut together by our amazing additional editor Jerry Ramsbottom and, yes, that IS the voice of James Austin Johnson at the end.* Enjoy this and so many other goodies on the disc. If you already bought and watched them - let me know what you loved. London, I'll see you at @picturehousecentral tomorrow night at 7pm for a special Q&A for 'The Running Man'. (*NB - At one point we had this TV spot open the movie before the studio logos. Ultimately we went back to the original opening from the script, but it was fun to see it with a few audiences like this.)

Ben Affleck says the best work of his career is the commentary he recorded for Armageddon Ben Affleck: So this disc, um, the... the Criterion. I was surprised when I heard Criterion was doing Armageddon, 'cause I didn't think of it as that kind of movie when we did it. Um, and in retrospect now, I feel like maybe my best work in my career is the commentary on this disc. People approach me to talk about the commentary on this disc as much as they do like movies that I've been in. And it's because, um, I didn't know any better than to be really honest. But I won't spoil it for those of you who are interested. It... it... it is a... it is an... as an achievement that I'm proud of and didn't intend to be as good as I now think it is at the time. Criterion, when is the 4K coming out?"

Guyver: Dark Hero AKA Guyver 2 [1994] Directed By: Steve Wang. This is captured from the upcoming fantastic Blu-Ray from Toy Robot Video which includes to cuts of the film. The first disc is the original cut while the second disc is an Enhanced Version of the film with new Special Effects by the director himself. Pretty amazing seeing this film in such quality and every time I see it always floored by the vision of this adaption and the choreography from the crew which includes Koichi Sakamoto. Seeing young David Hayter looking this high def in this film is awesome. This release drops on September 8th via MVD Entertainment

Flaming Brothers [1987] Directed By: Joe Cheung One of my favorite films with Chow Yun-Fat and Alan Tang. A great story with overlaying arcs that gives depth to both characters on where their lives are headed, with two different outputs on life. A fantastic journey from the very bottom and values. This is capture from the Eureka Entertainment Blu-ray disc which is available from MVD Entertainment

It's great to be able to share all this amazing additional material and the hard work done by cast and crew. Included are the full-screen clips of many of the Network TV commercials in the film, including this one. And yes, eagle eyed fans will spot that that is stuntman and actor extraordinare GregTownley playing the 'Hero Runner'. He was the lead teenage blank in 'The World's End', who fought Simon Pegg in the bathroom. Check out this and so much more on the loaded disc. Physical media forever, baby x

Ip Man: Kung Fu Legend [2026] Directed By: Li Liming This is out now on Digital and Physical (DVD, BD and 4K UHD) from Well Go USA Entertainment Dennis To is at it again as IP Man but this time he is protecting the workers from gangs and the Brits on taking over businesses in the area and then he gets framed for murder. Very drama heavy with this one with a few fights here and there but the finale is where things pick up but wish it was longer. One thing for certain the 4K disc is gorgeous and sounds great with the ATMOS track. It also includes an English DUB which I enjoyed.

Then, right towards the end, I was like, 'Oh, I'm bugging. This sh*t is way too long.' Then we cut it down." "On this one, at a certain point, it was the opposite. I was cutting too many songs that I loved and felt passionate about... Eventually I was like, 'Yo, I think this is—there's two stories being told and I think this is a double disc project.'" Mission of Justice 金三角群英會 [1992] Directed By: Tony Lou One of the highlights of this film done by one of the best in the Girls With Guns genre, Tony Lou. With a strong cast as usual with his films like Moon Lee, Yukari Oshima and Carrie Ng you would expect a banger with this one. Slows down halfway through and puts aside Moon Lee and Yukari, plus that ending encounter is slow-mo to death. Overall is an enjoyable flick. This is captured from the German Blu-Ray.
