Come and hear about the war crimes committed by Hamas. This is an important post, read it all. I mean, beyond the "usual" things they do, like killing Israeli civilians, LGBTQ+ individuals, and opposition figures in Gaza. This war crime is the relentless rocket fire on Israeli civilians. In 2001, Hamas, the Gaza basee terrorist organization, began independently producing and launching rockets into civilian population centers. Since then, especially after Israel fully withdrew from Gaza in 2005, Hamas' rocket fire intensified, and their launch capabilities expanded significantly. Instead of investing in Gaza's infrastructure, Hamas diverted aid funds, equipment provided by the UN and world governments to build rockets with the sole purpose of indiscriminately killing Israeli civilians. They placed launchers and bomb-making facilities within civilian populations and schools. The attached video shows Hamas using sewage pipes and hoses to construct long-range rockets, and an image displays missile depots and launchers inside a mosque and a Gaza youth movement building. Rocket attacks in the early years killed dozens of civilians, with thousands injured despite citizens seeking shelter during rocket alerts. At this point, Israel decided to invest billions in the Iron Dome defense system to protect its citizens. Israel's commitment to protecting all citizens, both Jewish and Arab, contrasts sharply with Hamas. After years of effort, Israel successfully deployed the Iron Dome, boasting a 96% success rate in intercepting rockets aimed at civilian centers. The system identifies and intercepts only those rockets posing a threat to population centers, sparing open areas. Launching such rockets into civilian areas is a war crime, turning launch sites and missile depots into legitimate military targets, even within civilian populations. Imagine the Israeli casualties if Israel hadn't neutralized missile depots or activated the Iron Dome. Now, consider the following data: The cost of producing a Hamas rocket ranges from $100 to several thousand dollars for a more sophisticated one. They use simple materials like cement supplied by the UN, irrigation system pipes, and other basic tools. Israel, on the other hand, invests a significant amount in Iron Dome missiles, with each interceptor costing between $50,000 and $200,000. Israel's annual investment in defense, protecting both its Jewish and Arab citizens, amounts to billions, while Hamas invests billions in developing rockets aimed at killing civilians and in the development of terrorist infrastructure. Since the current conflict began, Hamas has fired over 9,000 rockets at Israel, with over 10% landing within Gaza itself. The Iron Dome intercepted over two thousand rockets, costing nearly $200 million for the entire interceptor supply. Imagine the potential damage if all these rockets hit Israel – thousands of rockets could cause an estimated over a thousand casualties, thousands of injuries, and extensive damage. Hamas' continued rocket fire on Israeli civilians is a war crime. It always has been and always will be. We can no longer turn a blind eye to this. After Hamas carried out a brutal massacre in addition to rocket attacks, we had no other choice. Israel stands on the side of morality and justice. While Hamas fires missiles at civilian populations and commits atrocities against innocent civilians, Israel targets only legitimate military objectives according to international law. Israel uses precision missiles, costing hundreds of millions of dollars, while Hamas fires indiscriminate rockets. Hamas poses a threat to Israeli citizens, committing war crimes without restraint, and it can not continue. This is probably the clearest & greatest example of why America needs more people manufacturing missiles. Iron Dome & David's Sling partially failed here in this video, but the much larger reason for the successful strikes are that the Iranians have a very advanced missile program. Some of the missiles have never been used in a real world combat situation before & that's what makes the Ukraine & Iran wars very unique. Intercepting missiles reliably is the hardest feat to accomplish in the defense realm. The difficult part though is you aren't normally dealing with just one warhead. You have to deal with sustained missile barrages which can be further complicated if they use cluster munitions in the warhead. 10 missile warheads can quickly turn into 10 large projectiles with 40 smaller projectiles. This impact these cluster munitions have on our radar systems is incredibly frustrating due to all the noise they produce. Top tier missile defense is a mix of the best math, physics and logistics. The best missile defense system in the world is worthless if it can't deploy enough interceptors to protect a civilian population. The warfare part here is also unique. The Iranians are using their land based missile program to inflict incredible damage against American, Israeli & Gulf nation targets. This tactic has been so successful it has forced America to use up a substantial portion of our interceptors & other munitions in the stockpile. This is why America must manufacture more weapons, missiles, rockets & munitions than we ever have before! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Hundreds of Hollywood celebrities signed a petition calling on the U.S. to stop providing Israel with weapons. A lot of us felt uneasy about that petition. Intuitively, we all understand that military advice or analysis should probably not come from Hollywood actors. Just because someone played a five-star general in a movie doesn’t make them an expert on war. So yes, this petition is not only misguided—it’s dangerous. Let me explain why. I’m not a military expert either, but I listen to those who are. Recently, a group of high-level military experts visited Israel to assess its military operations. They concluded that Israel is fighting a just war against Hamas in full compliance with international law. They observed that Israel is taking extraordinary precautions to minimize civilian harm—even building roads to deliver aid during the conflict. No other military in history has made such an effort. Furthermore, when Australia investigated the tragic incident in which World Central Kitchen workers were accidentally killed, they found that Israel conducts thorough and transparent investigations when such mistakes occur. In recent days, White House National Security Communications Advisor and retired Navy admiral John Kirby said, “The biggest obstacle to peace right now is Hamas,” the same group that executed six hostages just this past weekend. The U.S. provides weapons to Israel because Israel is fighting a multi-front war against Iran’s jihadi proxy armies—Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and more. Among these weapons is the Iron Dome, a purely defensive technology that intercepts rockets in mid-air, saving countless lives. Yet, this is what these celebrities are trying to stop. War is horrific. But what these Hollywood celebrities are really promoting, whether they realize it or not, is Hamas’s dream of a defenseless Israel. If these celebrities truly want to see an end to the devastation in Gaza, they need to put the pressure where it belongs—on Hamas, the group responsible for starting this war and destabilizing the entire region.

The score is based on asking customers, “How disappointed would you be if this product went away?” The answer options are: a. Very disappointed b. Somewhat disappointed c. Not disappointed d. I no longer use this product 2. A few of your strongest customers can teach you more than many of your weaker ones. Your strongest customers are generally your most engaged users, deriving the most value from your product. If you use the Sean Ellis question, your strongest customers will be those with the highest scores. Try to learn: what characteristics make them a better fit for your product? What can they teach you about the value of your product? 3. The best user research technique is often to just pick up the phone and call 10 customers. You don’t need a research plan, a research lead, someone to summarize results, etc. Those things just add distance between you and the customer and overhead that slows research down. If you have a direct line to the customer instead, you’ll often find that it only takes five conversations before you gain strong, reliable insights. 4. Your strategy doesn’t have to be “right,” but it does have to be clear. A clear strategy allows you to identify when things are off course, because it defines “what was supposed to be happening.” Aspirations or vague statements like “to re-invent banking” are not clear strategies. Clear strategies are detailed plans centered on specific problems, solutions, customers, and strengths. 5. Jag lives and breathes the motto “We’re in the business of being fundamentally different, not incrementally better.” In competitive markets, merely improving incrementally on existing solutions isn’t enough. Strive to be fundamentally different by reinventing or creating new categories. This approach not only sets you apart from competitors but can also redefine the industry standards. 6. To develop products that truly resonate with users, start by identifying deeply held pain points. This can be achieved through meticulous customer research, or asking indirect questions to uncover genuine needs and frustrations. The goal is to develop a solution that addresses these issues so effectively that customers become enthusiastic advocates. 7. Before diving into research, articulate a clear hypothesis. This gives direction to your research efforts and helps you interpret the data you gather effectively. Don’t become overly attached to your hypothesis. Be willing to assess whether it’s right or wrong based on the evidence you gather, rather than trying to defend it at all costs.

Shabbos Kestenbaum: I’m deeply troubled by foreign influence in the U.S. government. Just last week, the Department of Education, under Section 117 of the Higher Education Act, found that Qatar alone had spent $6 billion on American colleges and universities. Why is Qatar paying American institutions of higher learning? It also deeply concerns me that there are so many Chinese communists at Harvard University that the Chinese Communist Party reportedly refers to the Harvard Kennedy School as “their party school.” I’m equally disturbed by well-documented Russian influence campaigns, including the use of consulates, like the one near where I live in Riverdale, New York, to spy on and conduct espionage against Americans. But let’s be honest: no one in this room, and no one in our political culture or media, seems to care about any of that. As my opponent just demonstrated, the only country they are singularly obsessed with is Israel. You didn’t mention any other country in a topic that didn’t even include the word Israel. But fine, let’s talk about Israel. Israel is a country that, just three years after gas chambers and crematoria, managed to defeat seven Arab Islamist armies. It is a nation of about nine million people, yet it has more Nobel Prize winners than China and India combined. Israel grants full and equal rights to Jews and Arabs alike, so much so that an Arab Supreme Court justice, Salim Joubran, sentenced a Jewish prime minister, Ehud Olmert, to prison. There is no other country in the Middle East where Jews and Muslims have full, guaranteed equal rights. Before discussing Israel’s virtues further, let’s talk about American foreign policy. The Federalist Papers are filled with references to treaties and the importance of what the Founders called common defense. They understood that the government’s most sacred duty is to protect its people, often through foreign alliances. America’s first war as a nation was the Barbary War, fought to stop Islamist piracy in the Mediterranean, because President Thomas Jefferson recognized that threats abroad become threats at home. The idea that nations don’t need mutually beneficial alliances is historically absurd. Which brings us back to Israel. What does the United States gain from its relationship with Israel? A great deal. U.S. Abrams tanks use the Trophy active protection system, designed and developed in Israel. The U.S. Marine Corps uses the most advanced shoulder-launched bunker-busting weapon in the world, based on an Israeli design. American fighter pilots use helmet-mounted targeting systems developed by Israel’s Elbit Systems. Much of the U.S. UAV fleet is based on Israeli designs used as far back as the Gulf War. Just last week, Israel announced completion of Iron Beam, a system that can shoot down rockets, mortars, and drones at a fraction of the cost. Israel is also the only country that buys American F-35s and then improves them, modifications later resold by the U.S. to other allies. Israel was among the first to fly the F-15, F-16, and F-35 in real combat, providing invaluable battlefield data that saves the Pentagon years of research and development and helps the U.S. compete with Russia and China. This is a partnership, not a charity. Israeli tunnel-detection technology used against Hezbollah is now used by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security against cartel tunnels on the southern border. Israel’s Mossad raided Iran’s nuclear archives in Tehran. When the United States needs human intelligence in the Middle East, there is only one country it turns to, and we all know which one that is.
