It's crucial to remember that victory and defeat are part of life. Even in a race between individuals with the same skill set, someone will come out as the winner and someone as the loser. What really matters is how we handle defeat. If we can pick ourselves up, learn from our losses, and come back with even more determination, that's where true success lies. So, let's not be afraid to give it another shot and keep striving for greatness.

This is true that mere talent is not sufficient for success. Hard work is needed. Be humble not to forget working as needed.

Dan Campbell said, "It starts over with the work. There is no complacency. There is no entitlement. We go back to work, and that is the focus. Because, if you don't work, it doesn't matter." It means doing the work. It means competing every day. How The Best Compete: 1. They outwork you - It means consistently showing up, doing the work and committing to your craft. The best in their field value the importance of hard work, going the extra mile, and continuously improving your skills. This dedication sets them apart because they grow and improve consistently. 2. They outhustle you - Hustle beats talent when talent doesn’t hustle. It means having a relentless drive and a never-give-up attitude. It's about taking advantage of every opportunity, being proactive, and staying ahead of the competition. The best understand that effort and determination can outshine natural talent when combined with hard work. 3. They outlast you - It is the principle of perseverance and resilience. Outlasting the competition means maintaining resilience and endurance over the long haul. They stay persistent, overcome obstacles, and continue to move forward when faced with seatbacks. Their steadfast mindset ensures longevity while others are filled with doubt. 4. They out-focus you - It means prioritization and focusing on what matters. It's about prioritizing your efforts and channeling your energy into what truly matters. Competing means you have a clear vision of who you are, what you want, and how you are going to get there. This level of concentration ensures that you maximize your productivity and achieve your objectives. 5. They out-adapt you - It means continuously growing, improving, and adapting. They are masters of constantly reassessing where they are, changing, and reinventing themselves. It's about finding solutions, learning from failures, and continually adjusting your strategies to stay on course. This ability to pivot and persist is crucial for long-term success. Competing every day is a mindset, not a moment. It means do the work, give your all, and never settle.

We are not okay, and that’s okay to say. I wish I could tell you that we are standing here and that the rest of the world is standing with us. With you. Sadly I can’t say that. There is a loud and aggressive minority around the world who doesn’t get, that being murdered at a peace festival does not equal resistance. I do however, know that we are standing here on behalf of all those people in the world, with moral clarity. And there are a lot of them. And there are many who want to be here with you. And they are here with you at heart. On October 7th, your loved ones went to Nova. We call it a peace music festival because that’s what it was—a place to make new friends, to let loos explore and celebrate life. And this juxtaposition hurts the most —because on that day, the light your loved ones were, was met with the most unimaginable darkness. Our lives will never be the same. But today, as we remember them, we also make a promise: to honor their memory by living as they would have. As we stand here in grief, we have a message to the world: we will not be defeated. Israel was attacked on October 7th and every day since, for the crime of existing. For the audacity of just being here. But we are here, and we are here to stay. And despite the trauma we’ve faced, we are in Israel, standing strong together, committed to the memories of those we lost and to the return of our hostages. We, despite the pain and alongside it, are going to build a brighter future. Together. We will dance again. Am Yisrael Chai Forever

DAVID SACKS ON THE AI RACE: "The US is currently in an AI race, and our chief global competition is China, obviously. They're the only other country that has the talent, the resources, and the technology expertise to basically beat us in AI. And I think whoever wins this AI race, that's going to have tremendous ramifications for both our economy and our national security. Clearly, we want the US to be the winner, just like we were with the internet, and every other technology revolution before that […] We know that to win this AI race, we have to be the most innovative. You can't regulate your way just to beating your competitor. You have to out-innovate them. And we know that in the United States, the innovation comes from the private sector, not the government. So we have to do everything we can to help our companies win, to help them be innovative, and that means getting a lot of red tape out of the way… We have to have the most AI infrastructure in the US. It has to be the easiest place to build it. All of the new data centers that are going in, they require tremendous power, so getting ahead of the curve on energy, making sure we stand up all of this new infrastructure we're going to need to basically produce these AI factories… We want the US technology stack to dominate globally. We want to be the partner of choice for the whole world… I think everyone in Silicon Valley understands that the way that you win a technology race is to have the biggest ecosystem […] You just want everybody to be building on top of your technology stack, and that's what we want for the United States." Farewell to International Space Station! This is truly a special place, special mission, and special team that makes it happen. It is a bittersweet departure today – I have a keen awareness that I may never be back here, and even if I was, it would be at a different time with a different crew. This chapter is over. Spaceflight has always been a life goal, and it has turned into a life-fulfilling endeavor – but not for the reasons I thought growing up. When I was young, I pictured the launch, the incredible ball of fire and the acceleration, the spacewalks (how could you not wonder what it’s like to be in that suit?), and I was fascinated by the shuttles, capsules, and stations. But as I complete this second mission living and working in space, what draws me to this job is the people. Experiences like this are amazing, but the relationships we build that make it possible are the “why.” Every day, this mission depends on people from all over the world, of different nationalities, races, religions, and cultures. It depends on government and commercial entities, it depends on all political parties, and it depends on commitment to an unchanged goal over many years and decades. It depends on people dedicated to being part of something bigger than themselves, whose names may never be known but who wake up every day to make the world a better place and to be part of something they will be proud to tell their grandkids about. History will look kindly upon them. Humans have always had a propensity to explore … across lands and oceans, up mountains, and into the sky. We as a species will never stop wondering what else is out there, and what it would be like to go. But then, in the words of TS Elliot, “…at the end of all our exploring, will be to arrive where we started, and know the place for the first time.” Crew-10 is on its way home.

French Army General and Chief of the Defence Staff Thierry Burkhard Chef d'état-major des armées: "Russia is a lasting threat. The war in Ukraine is existential for Russia. And it is determined to achieve what it has set as its goal, or at least what Putin has set as his goal, with the ultimate objective, in military terms, being to weaken Europe and dismantle NATO. That is Russia's goal, it is Putin's goal. To achieve it, through the war in Ukraine, it has reorganized itself quite quickly and effectively, setting up a war economy that is now running at full capacity. This war economy, I believe, is currently one of the key factors keeping the Russian economy afloat. And so, there is no reason - and even a kind of impossibility - to abruptly stop this. This means that Russia will continue to rearm at this pace. And so, despite the losses it is suffering, the incredible losses it is suffering, we estimate that by 2030, it will once again be a force that will pose a real threat to our borders on the eastern flank of Europe. It is clear that what is at stake in Ukraine is, on the one hand, the security of Europe, but I also think that it is, in fact, the place of European countries in the world, in tomorrow's world, in the world that we are shaping today. And if the outcome in Ukraine were a Russian victory and a Ukrainian defeat, we often say that would be a Western defeat, I think that it would be, and is increasingly becoming, due to the American stance, something that would be a real European defeat. And this European defeat is something we would have to endure and absorb. So, Ukraine, of course, must be defended as such. And I think that defending Ukraine is also, in a way, about how we see ourselves and what we are willing to do to shape Europe as it needs to be in the future, and live in today's world. And you understand that, if that doesn't happen - to use an image that has already been used - we would become something like herbivores in a world of carnivores. And that's not a very comfortable position — being at the bottom of the food chain. So for that reason, we must remain extremely vigilant."
