George Russell Post Race Interview🏁 "There's only three tenths between the quickest car and the slowest car and the top six and normally you need at least half a second to overtake so if I came out of Turn 1 in P3 I'd have been on the podium today... but instead I came out in P6 and I finished P6. Red Bull are going to be ahead of us. It swings so quickly. Ferrari qualified ninth and tenth in the sprint race. If that was the main race that would have been a lot of points to us and they'd have had a bad weekend. And as I said, it's such fine margins. If I was 20 milliseconds quicker in qualifying yesterday I'd have been on the front row and probably on course to finish second in the race. As I said, the qualifying is massive, Turn 1 is massive and I don't even remember the last two-stop race in F1 now. It's just quite processional unfortunately. I think Qatar and Vegas realistically are our two best shots but again it all just comes down to the lap in qualifying. If you do the job, just comes down to that lap in qualifying. If you do a really strong lap and you're on the front row you can hold the position and if you don't it's going to be the same in Mexico. George's Post Sprint Qualifying Interview🏁 "we've sort of been saying all year, we're in the fight on the bad days with P5 and today wasn't a good day. We just got P5, sprint races are tricky sometimes. I think potentially we have a better race car than we do qualifying car. We're struggling a lot in the high speed, but I think when you're going a bit slower in the race through the high speed and the car's not as low to the ground, it could be a bit faster. But yeah, I think this is roughly where we're at sort of in the fight for P4." #F1 #USGP

George's Post-Quali Interview🏁 "We were quickest in FP3, quickest in Q1, quickest in Q2 and I had an issue with the power steering in Q3 and qualified fourth.:Lando did an amazing job and these conditions are obviously very challenging and ultimately it always comes down to that last lap. That last lap is key and unfortunately in Q3 I had this problem. So I'm not saying I would have been there with Lando who clearly did an amazing job but it was just a shame. But it went away from us at the key moment of the day. I jumped out the car 10 minutes ago but just suddenly on one lap I didn't hit a wall or anything but the steering got really heavy. Every time I was sliding I couldn't control, it was like getting locked in position. So on my last lap I was talking with the engineer making sure it's even safe to drive because when you're doing 230 miles an hour down the straight and you think maybe the wheel might fall off or something might happen, it's a bit concerning and it doesn't give you the most amount of confidence to send it around the corner. So as I said, I am disappointed. We looked quick, it just didn't come together but P4 is not a bad place. I think we've got a chance. I think we'll be in the fight. I don't think there'll be a big pace difference between the three teams at the front. I can't say which way, like who's going to be the quickest or who's going to be the slowest but I'll be surprised if the spread is more than a tenth of a second between the three teams. So that makes for an exciting race. Sometimes being at the back to start with, you can do something slightly different with the strategy. So yeah, it could be okay." #LasVegasGP #F1

I felt definitely very alone out there today." "It's horrible, it's the least enjoyable race of the entire year. It doesn't even matter, even if you're in the lead, it's still not enjoyable. “This year you won Monaco, you won Silverstone, and you won the World Championship. What else is there left to do?” Lando: “I mean, they're really the best ones. Just downhill from here. I would have loved to make my life a bit easier and winning just earlier next time. But it's always more exciting when it kind of goes down to the final race, final few laps. It's more exciting for everyone, for you guys most of all. But I won ones that, again, people have dreamt of winning. There are some of the most incredible ones. The lap I did in Monaco in quali was the only other time, probably in the last 10 years, that I cried a little bit over something. Because there I proved myself wrong. It was one other moment this season that I proved myself wrong. Because I had that bad run of results. I just couldn't perform in qualifying. Qualifying has always been my strong suit, my best. Yeah, it's been my strength since I was in karting. All my qualifying results are my thing and they weren’t at the beginning of the season. So, when I went to the hardest track to do a qualifying lap in, I turned off my delta for the first time that weekend. So, I couldn't see if I was on a better lap, worse lap, whatever it was. It's not been my best track in the past. For me to then to go there and put that lap I put in at the end of qualifying was one of the best moments of my career in a way because it was the time I almost doubted myself the most ever. In the most important season that it turned out to be. So, but that one lap, 1 minute 9 seconds was all it needed for me to flip everything and turn that thought of ‘I just don't know if I got this’ to ‘oh, I can definitely do this.’ And that was a pivotal moment for me up here.”

It's like allowing you to risk everything that you just have to get out of jail, free card, if you get it wrong. So, and then obviously Max and Lewis, when they came together, Lewis got the penalty, rightly so, but Max was off the track, came back on in the wrong place, wrong time for me, and I lost three positions. And obviously I was pretty frustrated, but it all stemmed from that one. Well, I think it holds me down to the circuit. If there is this get out of jail free card, if that was gravel, no one would be there. We've seen it almost every year we've been here. I think last year, Charles the year before, Lewis 10 years ago, it's like a lawnmower racing. So, I don't know, something needs to change there. As I said, if you can just send it down the outside, you can either make it stick, or you just cut the grass and you return in the position you were in before, that's not really how it should be." #F1 #MexicoGP

Four years ago, I won that district overwhelmingly. But what you saw in that is you had a 10 point Republican turnout advantage in that district and still lost the race. So to me, that tells you not only you're not doing well with independents, REPUBLICANS are voting the other way! Registered Republicans! And whether that's out of protest, whether that's out of there, just maybe they're not as concerned. I don't know what goes on there, but I know if you have a 10 point advantage in your party registration, you should be able to win that election. I don't know that that was a difficult election to win. If you had the right formula and you've obviously seen us have success in that race in that in that particular district in the past. But, you know, that's just the way the way the cookie crumbles on some of this stuff.”

It may be silly of me, but I thought that we were fighting for top positions. And then just the way the plan goes and where we end up waiting in the pit lane and losing tyre temperature and using one, kind of using a tyre on the out lap but then coming in and the temperature effect. All these different things just add up to not optimising the sessions. So, we'll have to do some work to try and figure out how to optimise the sessions better." "I think it's... We'll talk in the background. I think it's just... Yeah, I just have to have a conversation about it and just continue to try and improve the process. I mean, everyone's working as hard as they can. It's just... We need to also look at what the others are doing because if you look at Mercedes, they're out first and they didn't lose any tyre temperature and then they're at the front.
