One time when I was in middle school, a kid hawked a giant loogie from the window of the bus in some lady’s face that was pulled up beside us with her window down. He got banned from riding the bus for the rest of the school year. His parents had to pick him up and drop him off.

Whatever happened to "Respect your elders"? It's fine to use water guns on other school kids, buses etc but NEVER anyone outside of school.
