#Syria: today is the anniversary of final episode of Jisr Shoghur Hospital's battle (2015). After the town fell to Rebels (April 25), 250+ Regime troops fortified themselves in the massive structure (covering over 30,000 m²). First attempts by Rebels to storm the Hospital failed. On 1st May, they detonated a massive SVBIED in front of the entrance and 9 days later another one leveled the SW. wing (see video, h/t Hugo Kaaman). A 3rd one launched days after failed. The 2nd car bomb (May 10) allowed Rebels to partially enter the Hospital but they couldn't take the core buildings, where Regime soldiers were well fortified, especially in the Hospital's underground level (where munitions were stored). Moreover, the soldiers continued to receive supplies - food and ammunition - delivered by helicopters in barrels (Rebels managed to capture a few that drifted away from the Hospital due to the wind, see pic 2). Rebels could reach the underground level in only one way: they therefore decided to detonate the Hospital from beneath using a tunnel bomb. Digging advanced quickly, and on the morning of May 22 they were close to reaching the central point they were targeting. It was never determined if the soldiers heard the digging or if the video released by Rebels on May 20 - showing the tunnel being prepared & that would be packed with 50 tons of explosives - alarmed the entrenched soldiers. Regime troops themselves had begun to dig a tunnel in an attempt to escape the Hospital unnoticed, but it was too late (the tunnel dug was only in its very early stages). This prompted the decision that sealed the fate of most of them: fleeing in daylight, in small groups. They had to run for ~2.5 km and were hunted down by Rebels, who killed & captured dozens of them. Several soldiers were also discovered few days after the escape, after going into hiding in the surroundings of the Hospital. Around 15–20 soldiers made it out alive and reached Regime-held areas. Among those killed were several high-ranking SAA officers, such as Colonels and Generals. - General: When Regime troops fortified themselves in the Hospital, Assad declared it a national priority to free them, but his army, despite its firepower, was unable to cross the ~2.5 km separating them from the Hospital. More than any other defeat in Idlib, Jisr's Hospital highlighted the inability of Assad's army to reverse the situation - a stark warning that, a few weeks later, prompted Soleimani to call on Russia to intervene. After the soldiers fled, with only 15–20 surviving out of over 250, state TV labelled it a victory - the victory Assad couldn't actually deliver.

ALERT: Elderly woman dies after fighting with a Tim Hortons worker over getting her drive-thru order wrong. Anita Grayson, 75, entered a Tim Hortons location in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after a 17-year-old employee allegedly got her drive-thru order wrong. Grayson was observed pointing and seemingly yelling at the teen when the 20-year-old shift leader intervened and asked Grayson to leave. According to police, the shift leader made contact with Grayson, prompting her to throw a punch, which knocked the shift leader's glasses off. The police department said, “Two Tim Hortons employees moved in and attempted to separate them but struggled to get the shift lead’s hair out of Grayson’s hand. During the struggle, Ms. Grayson pulled a chunk of hair from the shift lead’s head leaving a raw area on the top of her head.” After the fight, Grayson went to sit at a table, and the employees got back behind the counter. About 10 minutes later, Grayson laid down on the floor. Paramedics arrived to find Grayson unresponsive, and medics tried to perform lifesaving measures, but she was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Grayson's daughter, Tawnda Grayson, said she had a heart condition and, “You should not enter a coffee shop for a coffee and a doughnut and come out unalived. That is diabolical. That’s the elderly lady. That’s not how we treat our senior citizens. We be careful with them. We make sure that they’re all right. We don’t jump on them and attack them. And scare them to death.” The coroner's office is still ruling on the death, but preliminary findings show “no significant contributory injuries.”

Humans handle manufacturing, regulatory, payer negotiation, formulary selection, and the new Humana CenterWell partnership that gives Cost Plus access to a $13B pharmacy distribution channel. The advice Cuban gave his daughter at Convergence AI Dallas was framed as career guidance. The same three words show up in his hiring spec for Cost Plus. Cuban said AI doesn't know the consequences of its actions. That's a precise claim. Pharmacy benefit managers run on billions of dollars in opaque rebate structures and biosimilar formulary decisions that can move a manufacturer's quarterly pipeline. Normally, I will shake off the cold and relieve myself before ordering a cup of coffee and a moist cinnamon bun dripping with glaze and watch the fishermen troll for walleye along the river. So imagine my surprise earlier this week to find that the Renaissance Center is now completely closed to the public. Locked in perpetuity. The cafe is gone. The Burger King. The tables. The napkins. The salt shakers. General Motors has removed its name plate from the facade, and its rotating display of classic cars has been towed away. “Where you going?” barked a sleepy-eyed security guard. “It’s closed. Can’t you read the signs? Unless you’re going to the hotel or Joe Muer’s, but they’re not open yet.” “How about the Italian consulate?” I said somewhat hopefully. The remaining tenants in the Renaissance Center, besides the Marriott and three restaurants, are the Italian and Japanese diplomatic attachés. The cultural impact of an icon abandoned in the middle of the night simply required documentation. To smother the criticism, General Motors is keeping a skeleton crew of a few hundred employees downtown so the locals don’t feel disrespected. Normally, I will shake off the cold and relieve myself before ordering a cup of coffee and a moist cinnamon bun dripping with glaze and watch the fishermen troll for walleye along the river. So imagine my surprise earlier this week to find that the Renaissance Center is now completely closed to the public. Locked in perpetuity. The cafe is gone. The Burger King. The tables. The napkins. The salt shakers. General Motors has removed its name plate from the facade, and its rotating display of classic cars has been towed away. “Where you going?” barked a sleepy-eyed security guard. “It’s closed. Can’t you read the signs? Unless you’re going to the hotel or Joe Muer’s, but they’re not open yet.” “How about the Italian consulate?” I said somewhat hopefully. The remaining tenants in the Renaissance Center, besides the Marriott and three restaurants, are the Italian and Japanese diplomatic attachés. Apparently, no one told the Italians and the Japanese that the war was over. “Okay, but you can’t take no professional video,” he warned. We ignored him. The cultural impact of an icon abandoned in the middle of the night simply required documentation. Imagine walking up on the Empire State Building or the St. Louis Arch and being told to pound cement. It’s no secret that the building’s owner, General Motors, beat it out of its five towered headquarters on the Detroit River. With much fanfare, the 117-year-old automobile company announced last month that it had moved its world headquarters into a veritable broom closet of suites in Dan Gilbert’s half-finished, publicly financed Hudson’s Tower complex just a few blocks up on Woodward. CBS News’ 60 Minutes has released a cartoonishly blatant war propaganda piece on “Nicolas Maduro, Venezuela’s dictator” about how poor and unhappy the people of Venezuela are under their current government. The piece featured an interview with Republican Senator Rick Scott, who said that “If I was Maduro I’d head to Russia or China right now; his days are numbered.” The US can make threats, impose sanctions and amass war machinery, but you don’t truly know they’re serious about attacking a country until they start churning out Pentagon propaganda in the mainstream press. In the same interview, Scott also said that if Maduro is successfully ousted, “it’ll be the end of Cuba.” “America is gonna take care of the southern hemisphere and make sure there’s freedom and democracy,” he added. The senator’s statements suggest that the US is preparing a push in Latin America similar to what it has been executing with Israel in the middle east, eliminating any powers which refuse to bend the knee. South of the US border the top two disobedient governments are the socialist states of Venezuela and Cuba. In the middle east the US and Israel have spent the last two years bombing Iran and Yemen, securing a regime change in Syria, and doing everything they can to eliminate Hamas and Hezbollah in order to rule the region uncontested. And of course we’ve still got the horrifying US proxy war in Ukraine, where soldiers continue to be dragged off against their will to fight in a nightmarish conflict that most Ukrainians now oppose, but which Zelensky is saying he intends to keep fighting for years against the will of the public. This whole miserable ordeal could have been avoided with a little diplomacy and a few low-cost concessions, but the western power alliance avoided off-ramp after off-ramp in order to ensure that Russia would get sucked into another costly military quagmire. $Cody Hudson is a 2021 Florida C-19 vaccine-injured college student. His case is peer reviewed and published. After Rituxan/Rituximab treatment during his March hospitalization for two strokes and two blood clots in the heart, Cody experienced complete B-cell destruction to suppress the immune driver of his treatment-resistant blood clotting disorder antibodies. He still experiences strokes, DVT, pulmonary embolism, and microclotting even while fully anticoagulated. His T cells are now handling the heavy lifting for his immune system as we try to stabilize the disorder. Part of his story appears in this video describing the March 2026 hospitalization. We are working on a longer documentary that will cover what happened after that hospitalization on June 16, at home, when Cody experienced a massive flare of his insidious autoimmune blood clotting disorder, that suddenly brought on 30 to 40 pounds of localized lymphatic edema in both legs over three days! He then felt crushing chest pain, and we rushed him to the hospital. After a couple of hours at the hospital ER, he suffered a massive blood pressure drop and went into A-fib. During this ER visit- right in front of our eyes, he developed a large, severe microclotting wound over his left lower leg & foot that destroyed skin & tissue, creating a third-degree burn-like wound from below the knee down over the foot. To save his life, he required cardioversion twice—one chemical and one electrical. His heart ejection fraction was only 15%, and the situation was so severe that the hospital wanted to amputate his leg and move him to comfort care. His dad and I called our state surgeon general, who has followed Cody’s case closely. He and Senator Ron Johnson arranged a Medevac helicopter flight on Father’s Day to a level-one trauma center. We have been here with Cody for about a month. He was scheduled for skin grafting on the top of his foot after new skin failed to grow for 24 days, but surgery was delayed due to new bowel bleeding. He also developed myocarditis while on high-dose steroids. While awaiting surgery, his feet and lower legs began to show healing. I have been aggressively using silver gel products to treat the leg wound. At first I was reprimanded for not using hospital products, but then plastic surgery noted the new tissue growth. After seeing my comparison photos, they ordered silver sulfadiazine. Cody has been in this hospital about 30 days. About three weeks in, he developed pressure/bed sores and I used honey calcium alginate on the wounds, which closed completely within about eight hours. Quickly! Hospital “butt cream” and zinc products had not worked. I handle all Cody’s wound care, with the wound care team, dermatology, and ortho checking regularly. With his B cells destroyed by Rituxan, we must stay hyper-vigilant against infection. These large wounds can easily become infected, boggy, or necrotic. Infection is my biggest concern. Please continue praying with us that Cody avoids infection. His bowel is still bleeding, so the skin graft surgery is on hold, but we hope he can avoid it.
