Great question, man. I’ve thought about this as well and definitely don’t want to become one of those people. All the uncertainty leaves me feeling uneasy.

I like your take on this concern.

Either it will get better, or there will be a stain of shit apps built around 2024 that no one wants to touch, and we go back to creating maintainable code

Before AI, unless you're working on a project from the very start you'd be maintaining code someone before you wrote and you'd be building features on top of it. Idk about you but I've worked in some garbage code bases and when I was starting out I wrote some of that garbage myself. Truth is we still will be creating and we'll still be maintaining garbage code in the future with or without the help of AI. AI will just help us with making the mess
