The champ WHITE ABARRIO doing great this morning, came out of the race in good order. Can’t say enough about this special horse, his heart, competitive spirit, and the connection he has with his racing fan base. Yesterday was a great day for horse racing, three 7-year olds finishing 1-2-3 in a Grade 1 race showing the world these amazing athletes do not need to be retired and go to the breeding shed at 3-4 years olds. Something needs to change for the longevity of the sport, lets get back to racing and not so focused on 3-4 year olds with 6-7 starts hitting the breeding shed. Lets race! Congratulations to one of our favorites Skippylongstocking, now a Grade 1 winner and to Saffie Joseph Jr. and his entire team for winning back to back Pegasus World Cup. Congrats Tyler Gaffalione great ride!

Can’t sleep as I’m still absolutely fuming about what a shit show VAR is. That today was a fella with an agenda relaying his preference to the referee and it’s not on. When you look at how the TMO is used in rugby, you hear a conversation between two officials, no need for screens as all that is being relayed are facts. Black and white conversations of what has happened, not what might have happened, or what he believes happened, a matter of fact. The result of this is that everyone watching knows why and is happy with the conclusion as it’s been caused by the actions of the players and everyone understands why. This VAR bollocks can’t continue. 😡

Saturday is my mom’s funeral. I want to tell a story about her. When we were kids growing up in NYC, we were taught to love the NYPD and FDNY. Especially after 9/11. Every year she’d take us to run Tunnel to Towers Foundation, where you run from Brooklyn through the tunnel to the World Trade Center just like FDNY hero Stephen Siller did on September 11. She’d stop to shake every cop’s hand she could. Three years ago she was diagnosed with brain cancer. The disease and the surgery shut down her body, making it hard for her to do anything. But she wanted to run the race, and I wasn’t going to tell her she shouldn’t. So we drove up to New York from DC to run it, and of course it’s pouring rain for the race. And even though she could barely walk, she ran. I took this video of her running across the finish line. Her whole right side was shut down, and it hurt like hell, but she ran. So we just signed up to run it again this year in her honor, and are raising money for Tunnel to Towers Foundation in her name as Team Melanie Cash. There’s no organization she’d rather support. And if you want to run with us, drinks are on me after the race, which she’d also support.

Such sad news about Dr Michael Mosley ☹️ This recent clip was profound and yet so very simple, "What we buy and then consume has a massive impact on our health.. I managed to reverse my Type 2 Diabetes without medication, simply by losing some weight, and changing my diet" It is said that the best of people are those who add value to other people's lives. Over 4 million in the UK have diabetes, and over 415 million have it world wide I can't explain the science, but the simple message of eating well and the impact it can have on our health eg reversing diabetes, is a massive game changer Michael articulated this - and so many other things - in a friendly, easy to understand way We were in Greece last week and it was very hot. Twice after midday I soaked my hat in water, and on both occassions it dried up in just a few minutes. The heat there at this time of year can be relentless My condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time. Thank you for all that you have done Michael. May you rest in peace 🙏

This one hurts me deeply 🥺💔 I'm not sure where to start but Rachaad White 1️⃣ has been my main favorite player over the years ever since he got drafted by the Bucs. If you didn't know, I'm the biggest Rachaad White fan in the world. One day back in 2023, I was at Bucs Training Camp and I took a vid of Rachaad practicing and tagged him on X. He then commented and said if I needed anything, just reach out to him. So a month later I did and he reached back out to me and I met him at pregame before the Bucs preseason game against the Ravens, it was truly one of the best days of my life. Then a year later, I reached out back to him to see if he could sign my Rachaad jersey and he did, another one of the best days of my life. He's truly a man of his word, a down to earth guy, a great guy on & off the field, and like I always say how can you not love him. Every single home game since before when the players come out the tunnel, you can only hear me in my section screaming, “RACHAAD WHITEEEE, LETS GOOOOOOO WOOOOO" and now I'm going to miss that 😞💔 Rachaad's also the reason why I started listening to Rod Wave 😂😂 I know players come and go but this one truly means a lot to me. 🙏🙏 I never saw the day you would be in a different uniform man 😢 I'll miss all the good memories, touchdowns you had in front of me live or on tv and I'll miss seeing him in a Bucs jersey running on that field at RayJay. 😭💔 Thank you for everything you have done for me and for the Bucs, Rachaad, good luck on your next journey 🙏🙏 I love you my guy and much love, UNO 🤞🏻🙏❤️1️⃣ #WeAreTheKrewe (my photo and videos)

It’s taken me a few days to put this week into words because I really just wanted to soak it all in with my family. I’m incredibly grateful to the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Sports Network for trusting me with this opportunity. It was a milestone in my career that I’ll never forget. I’m also grateful for women like Mary Shane and Cheryl Raye Stout, who helped pave the way for women like me. They set the standard and created opportunities I’m incredibly thankful to be a part of. When I was asked to step into the booth, I’d be lying if I said stepping into that role wasn’t a little intimidating. But I kept thinking about Joshua 1:9, a verse my dad has always reminded me of: “Be strong and courageous.” And somehow, it all came full circle. The person who taught me this game was the one handing me my scorecard on the same weekend the White Sox were celebrating his ’83 team. That’s a moment I’ll never forget. If this week taught me anything, it’s that some of the best opportunities are the ones that push you outside your comfort zone. You never really know what you’re capable of until you’re willing to get a little uncomfortable. I hope that’s something people, whether they’re in sports or not, can take with them. Thank you to everyone who watched, reached out, encouraged me, and sent kind messages. They meant more than you know.
