Just pulled up Olipop's landing page after seeing their ads everywhere lately and I need to break this down because this is one of the cleaner DTC pages I've seen in a while. Here's what's actually happening when you land on this page and why it converts cold Facebook traffic better than 90% of ecom brands right now: 1) The first 3 seconds Before you read a single word, there's a video of the product being poured, fizzing, bubbling and condensation on the can with no voiceover or text overlay. Your brain processes that faster than any headline ever could. You can almost hear the fizz. That's intentional. They're triggering a sensory response before your logical brain even wakes up. Then the headline hits. "A New Kind of Soda." Now that's a category repositioning. They're not saying "healthy soda" or "better soda." They're saying the entire category you grew up with needs a new version and this is it. Sub-headline says high fiber, less sugar. Targets exactly the person who clicked the health-focused ad on Instagram. Message match is perfect. The person who clicked the ad lands here and immediately feels like the page was made for them. 2) The product carousel Most brands mess this up by showing you the product and making you go through three more pages to add it to your cart. Olipop lets you hover over any flavor and an "Add 12 Pack" button appears right there. One click. Done. You never leave the homepage. That little micro-interaction is doing serious conversion work because every extra click you require is a percentage of buyers you lose. They basically short-circuited the whole buying process and most people don't even notice it's happening. Star ratings under every flavor. Smart. You're not waiting until the reviews section at the bottom to see social proof. It's right there next to the product at the exact moment you're deciding what to buy. Then there's the "Limited" and "Out of Stock" tags on certain flavors. This is a psychological move that a lot of brands either don't use or use badly. When you see Shirley Temple is sold out your brain immediately thinks this must be good enough that people are actually buying it. And now you're looking at everything else thinking you better grab it before it's gone too. 3) The retention play At this point you haven't bought yet and they already know some people won't on the first visit. So right here they drop the rewards program section. Trade your email for perks and points. They're not letting you leave empty handed. Either you buy today or you give them your email so they can bring you back. Both outcomes work for them. Then comes the subscription nudge. 15% off. Free shipping. Cancel anytime. Three objections handled in one sentence. 1. Too expensive? 15% off. 2. Annoying to reorder? Free shipping straight to your door. 3. Scared of being locked in? Cancel whenever you want. That's a complete objection removal stack built into what looks like a simple banner. The people who weren't ready to buy a 12-pack today are looking at that and doing the math. 4) The press section Bloomberg. Forbes. BuzzFeed. Mindbody. This section exists for one reason. You clicked an ad from a brand you'd maybe seen once or twice before. You don't fully trust them yet. These logos close that gap in about half a second. It's institutional validation. You don't need to read the articles. Just seeing the logos tells your brain people with real credibility have looked at this and thought it was worth covering. Background behind this section is a high-res macro shot of condensation on the can. Cold. Refreshing. Premium. Even the section design is doing sensory work. 5) The overall lesson What Olipop figured out is that a landing page for Facebook traffic has one job. Close the trust gap between the ad and the purchase as fast as possible without losing the energy the ad created. Every section of this page does exactly that. Sensory hook gets you in. Category positioning tells you what it is. Carousel with inline add to cart removes friction. Social proof and scarcity show demand. Subscription offer removes price and convenience objections. Press section provides institutional trust. By the time you hit the footer you either already bought or you gave them your email. That's not a landing page. That's a conversion machine. The crew of 'Mr. Majestyk' (1973) nearly left on the first day of filming because of Charles Bronson. Richard Fleisher begged & convinced them to stay. Throughout the filming, Bronson was given the silent treatment by the crew. Richard Fleischer explaining the whole situation in detail: "The only way to describe Charles Bronson is "Mr. Charm." The United Nations could use his suave diplomacy. He demonstrated this considerable talent for making friends and influencing people on the first day of shooting on 'Mr. Majestyk' (1973) The entire company was parked along one side of a lonely back road several miles outside of La Junta, Colorado, early one September morning. The strung-out trucks, buses, and cars covered about a quarter of a mile. This was the spot where we were supposed to make the first shot of the movie, but we were stymied. The transporter carrying the cars that worked in the shot hadn't arrived. Without those cars there was nothing we could do. Either the transporter had broken down or there was a dreadful foul-up in the transportation department. Whatever it was, there was nothing to do but wait and pace. Bronson started complaining to me about the inefficiency of the whole company, even though we had yet to find out what had happened. After about an hour everyone was out on the road, chatting, playing cards, lounging. I found myself at one end of the line of parked vehicles with my first assistant, Buck Hall. Charlie Bronson was at the other end. The entire cast and crew stood between us Suddenly Charlie called out, "Hey, Dick!" I turned and shouted back, "Yeah, Charlie?" "You know what this company needs?" "No, I don't. What does it need?" "It needs a European first assistant and a European crew!" he shouted back. The entire company froze. This was an insult beyond compare or repair. The redneck coefficient of American movie crews is notorious. Compared to them the Ku Klux Klan and the Skinheads are the radical left. To be contemptuously compared to Europeans was a stunning slap in the face. Luckily, the transporter with the cars showed up at that moment and we went to work. As soon as we got back to the motel that evening, Buck Hall came to my room. Buck had been my assistant on many pictures over the years, and we were close and devoted friends. There were tears in his eyes. "The crew is leaving the picture tonight. They're going back to the studio and I'm going with them." Thank you, Charlie Bronson. We talked for a long time. I pleaded with him and begged him not to go. Out of loyalty and friendship he finally agreed to stay and to try to keep the crew from leaving. Buck came through for me. He and the crew remained on the picture, but they did something I'd never seen before, nor have I seen it since. They gave Bronson the silent treatment. Unless it was absolutely necessary, like calling him to the set, no one ever spoke to him again for the entire picture. Not a word. Not a "good morning" or a "good night." Charlie must have been aware of what was happening, but he never mentioned it to me. The only reference he ever made that something peculiar was going on was one day when he said, "I just don't understand it. Nobody calls me 'Charlie' on this picture. We just SUED Elections Alberta On September 10, the Court of King's Bench in Calgary stamped our application: Rebel News Network Ltd. v. Election Commissioner of Alberta and Chief Electoral Officer of Alberta, court file number 2601-16399. A judge will hear it in Emergency Chambers this Monday, September 14, at 2 p.m. at the Calgary Courts Centre. You can read every word of it at Now, let me explain why we're taking Elections Alberta to court. Thomas Lukaszuk's group, Forever Canadian, is the "remain" campaign on Question 10 in the October 19 referendum. It registered with Elections Alberta on June 8 as a referendum third-party advertiser. The rules that follow registration are straightforward: file a contribution report every single week. Every donation, every donor. If someone gives you goods or services instead of money — a bus, an office, a stage, a truckload of lawn signs — you report that too, at fair market value. Forever Canadian has a "Unity Bus" that has toured the province. It has a campaign office in Edmonton, opened on May 23, and a second office in Calgary, which opened on July 1. According to the Calgary Herald, the Calgary office is open six days a week just to hand out lawn signs. It has handed out thousands of those signs. Forever Canadian hosted a "Musicians for Unity" concert in Hawrelak Park in July. And on September 1, Lukaszuk announced a free concert at The Confluence in downtown Calgary on September 20 — headlined by Jann Arden, 29 days before the vote. According to Elections Alberta's own public register, Forever Canadian has raised $0.00. Zero dollars, zero cents, every week since June. Compare that to everyone else on the same register as of September 3. • Let Alberta Decide: $484,988.95 • Alberta's Voice: $152,421.06 • Pathway to Independence: $123,247.30 • Vote to Stay, a "remain" group: $97,791.29 • Public Interest Alberta's "No" campaign: $37,740.00 • Our own group, Alberta's Choice: $35,937.95 Every independence group reports. The other federalist groups report. But one group, running the biggest campaign in the province, has reported nothing. It gets stranger. On July 10, the Globe and Mail reported that Lukaszuk says Elections Alberta sent him a letter telling him Forever Canadian doesn't have to report contributions — because, he says, it "isn't promoting a position in the referendum." He wouldn't share the letter and Elections Alberta offered no comment, claiming they don't discuss private correspondence. But Elections Alberta's own Interpretation Bulletin No. 9, issued July 8, lists the word "choose" as language that may suggest voting in a referendum. His lawn signs say "CHOOSE UNITY." And this is the man who told the BBC that "loss is not an option" and that he would "do everything possible to win this referendum." I'm not going to tell you that's illegal — I don't know that, maybe there's an explanation. That is exactly what we asked Elections Alberta to find out. But if a public regulator sent a private letter exempting one side of a referendum from the rules everyone else follows, Albertans have a right to see it. So our court application asks the judge to order Elections Alberta to produce it — or to confirm in writing that it doesn't exist. Now here is why we ended up in court instead of waiting. On July 24, our lawyer Chad Williamson filed a formal complaint: a five-page demand letter, a 10-page legal complaint, and 226 pages of evidence, 241 pages in all. Four days later, Elections Alberta sent us an acknowledgment, file number 2026-0280, saying "a representative may contact you in the future." That was 48 days ago. Not a phone call. Not an email. Nothing. Our demand letter gave Elections Alberta until September 1: open an investigation or refuse and tell us why. The law requires one or the other. September 1 came and went. Silence. And after October 19, none of it can be fixed. You can't un-ring the bell after the vote. That is not a slow regulator. That is a regulator running out the clock. Let me be precise about what we are asking the court to do, because I want you to understand it. We are not asking the court to punish Forever Canadian. We are not asking it to decide whether Forever Canadian broke the law. Forever Canadian is not even a respondent in this case. We are asking for what lawyers call mandamus — an order that makes a public official do the job the law gives them. Order Elections Alberta to decide our complaint within seven days, and in any event before October 19. Declare that it had a legal duty to decide within a reasonable time, and hasn't. And produce the file, including any advice it gave Lukaszuk about whether he has to report. Decide. Just decide. I swore a 363-page affidavit in support of the application: every photo of the bus, every lawn sign, the Globe story, the concert posters, Elections Alberta's own guide and bulletin and register, the complaint, the demand letter, the acknowledgment. All under oath. I was in Lethbridge on July 18, in the same parking lot as Forever Canadian. I watched them hand out signs. Alberta's Choice reports every dollar, every Thursday. Ninety seconds a donation, more or less, according to our CFO Lyndon Dunkley, who swore a second affidavit about what compliance actually costs. Some weeks it takes 10 minutes. Some weeks it takes three and a half hours. It is the law, so we do it. You might be voting to remain on October 19th. That is fine. This is not about which way you vote. It is about whether the referee calls the game the same way for both teams. Elections Alberta has never been shy about scrutinizing us — years ago it investigated Rebel News over my book — and we didn't get a private letter saying don't worry about it. 🔊 CHURCH: The Feast of Trumpets begins TOMORROW, FRIDAY 9/11–SUNDAY 9/13—and LOOK at the convergence surrounding it this year! Israel at the center. The nations focused on dividing the land. Iran and its bow bending, ready to break! War expanding. Earthquakes. Intense volcanic activity. Signs in the heavens. And all of it converging as the appointed time of the TRUMPET arrives this year on a Sabbath—A DAY OF REST! ALL THE SIGNS ARE NOT QUIETING DOWN—THEY ARE INTENSIFYING! KEEP LOOKING UP!!! 🎺QUICKLY FIRST — WHAT IS THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS? The Feast of Trumpets—Yom Teruahin the Bible—is one of the LORD's seven appointed feasts. It begins on 1 Tishrei, the first day of the seventh month, and God commanded it to be a day of rest, holy assembly, and trumpet blasts: 📖“In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.” Lev 23:24 👉🏼The trumpet was used in Scripture to call God's people together, announce movement of the camps, sound an alarm, and proclaim important occasions. And this year is extra special! 🎺Trumpets begins this Friday at sunset September 11, 2026, and 1 Tishrei falls on a Sabbath—God's day of REST. That isn't extremely rare, but the fact that the appointed time of the trumpet falls on the day of rest immediately makes me think of this verse, Isaiah 26:20: But look at what comes BEFORE: 📖 “Your dead shall live... Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust... And the earth shall cast out the dead.” Is 26:19 Then AFTER: 📖 “Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, until the indignation is past.” Is 26:20 And the next verse tells us why: 📖 “For behold, the LORD comes out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity...” Is 26:21 🔗So, look at the prophetic sequence here: FIRST, resurrection. THEN, “Come, My people”—enter the chambers, hide, and rest. And AFTER that comes the indignation upon the earth. THIS MAKES US THINK ABOUT PAUL: 📖 “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.” 1 Thes 4:16–17 Remember originally there were no chapter breaks—so after saying this Paul points directly to the Day of the Lord: 📖 “But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren... you yourselves know perfectly that the Day of the LORD so comes as a thief in the night.” 1 Thes 5:1–2 Look at Paul's train of thought: 👉🏼Trumpet of God 👉🏼 Dead in Christ rise 👉🏼Church caught up 👉🏼Then Paul immediately turns to the Day of the LORD And centuries before Paul, look again at Isaiah's picture: 👉🏼The dead arise 👉🏼“Come, My people” 👉🏼Enter your chambers 👉🏼 Hide until the indignation passes 👉🏼 The LORD comes to punish the inhabitants of the earth THE PARALLEL IS AMAZING! And this year—coincidentally— 1 Tishrei, the first full day of Trumpets—falls on the Sabbath, which is THE DAY OF REST!! I LOVE IT!! NOW — LOOK AT THE WORLD INTO WHICH THIS FEAST IS ARRIVING. This is where things get really interesting!! Because Trumpets 2026 is not arriving in a quiet world by any stretch of the imagination. It is arriving while the convergence we have already been watching seems to be getting LOUDER! 🗓️I posted last week about Joel already, so I'm gonna try to not repeat my self. But remember what Peter said in his inaugural message to the Church at Pentecost, when he pointed directly back to Joel: 📖 “And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.” Acts 2:19–20 🔔A QUICK NOTE HERE: Some understand the Day of the LORD as referring only to Armageddon at the end of the Tribulation. I understand it as the 7 year tribulation period of judgment associated with Daniel’s 70th Week—not only its final battle. 👉🏼Paul says the Day of the LORD comes “as a thief in the night,” when people are saying “Peace and safety!” and then “sudden destruction” comes upon them (1 Thes 5:2–3). After seven years of catastrophic judgment, nobody will be saying "peace and safety" as preparing for Armageddon. Back to what I was saying: since I wrote that post last week, the signs haven’t gotten quieter… THEY JUST KEEP PILING ON!!! ⚠️We’re not looking at one volcano and saying, “THIS IS JOEL.” We’re not looking at one earthquake, one war, one eclipse, or one column of smoke and saying, “PROPHECY FULFILLED.” WE’RE JUST LOOKING AT THE CLUSTER. WE ARE LOOKING AT THE CONVERGENCE AND THE PROPHETIC RESEMBLANCE! And look at what has been added to that picture just as we approach Trumpets: 🌋 ANAK KRAKATAU — INDONESIA A continuous eruptive episode lasting approximately 25 hours. Ash sent 50,000 feet into the atmosphere. Jakarta's international airport was forced to close. Nearly 3,000 flights disrupted. 341,000 passengers stranded. When I saw those towering plumes rising, I immediately thought of Joel’s language: “Pillars of smoke.” Fire. Ash. Towering plumes—so massive they were captured from space in NASA satellite imagery. 🔥 AND LOOK AT WHAT IS HAPPENING IN INDONESIA AT THE SAME TIME. From September 1–7 alone, Indonesia's wildfire emissions reached 19.7 MILLION metric tons of CO₂—more than ONE-THIRD of the entire world's wildfire emissions during that period and 273% ABOVE the seasonal average. Authorities are calling this Indonesia's most intense wildfire season in 11 years, with massive haze now affecting millions of people. THE MIDDLE EAST IS NOT CALMING DOWN EITHER: ISRAEL — IRAN — AND NOW THE CONFLICT IS WIDENING: Last Thursday Prime Minister Netanyahu said: 🎙️“The achievements are immense, but there is still more to complete. I mean, first and foremost, the toppling of the regime. This regime in Iran — its end is near. It is weak, it is fighting for its life, it is faltering.” 🔔Remember what we're watching and waiting for. We're watching for that Jeremiah 49 “bow of Elam” to be broken, potentially opening a window of peace and security for Israel that could set the stage for Ezekiel 38. And as of September 10, the conflict is spreading even further. Iran reports attacks on ships near the Strait of Hormuz, while Houthi advances and attacks are putting the chokepoint Bab el-Mandeb at risk. Think about the geography: ⚠️ STRAIT OF HORMUZ — The world’s #1 oil chokepoint: DISRUPTED ⚠️ BAB EL-MANDEB — A critical global shipping chokepoint: AT RISK ⚠️ IRAN — ISRAEL — U.S. — HOUTHIS — SAUDI ARABIA THE WAR IS NOT CONTRACTING, IT IS WIDENING! AND THERE IS SOMETHING EVEN BIGGER HAPPENING AROUND ISRAEL RIGHT NOW. 🗡️As we approach Trumpets, two days ago, Sep 8th. international pressure for a TWO-STATE SOLUTION is intensifying again. The UK, France and Canada have announced new measures to protect that outcome—and they plan to take that effort directly to the UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY later this month. And THAT immediately brings us back to Joel once again. Because Joel doesn't only speak about blood, fire, pillars of smoke and signs in the heavens. He also tells us what happens when the NATIONS gather concerning ISRAEL: 📖 “I will also gather all nations… on account of My people, My heritage Israel… THEY HAVE ALSO DIVIDED UP MY LAND.” Joel 3:2 👉🏼THAT is the part of the convergence I don't want us to miss. Israel is not somewhere on the sidelines of this picture—ISRAEL IS AT THE CENTER. What makes this Trumpets season so extraordinary is THESE PARTICULAR PIECES coming together clearly at the same time. And THEN, on top of that geopolitical picture, look at what has been happening in the earth and the heavens. LET'S ZOOM OUT FOR A SECOND HERE. In just the last four weeks we have watched: 🌎 Major earthquakes — Colombia, Indonesia and Peru ⚫August 12 — Total solar eclipse 🔴August 27–28 — Deep partial lunar eclipse 🔥 September 1–7 — Indonesia wildfire emissions running 273% above the seasonal average 🌋 September 4–6 — Anak Krakatau’s extraordinary 25-hour eruptive episode 🇮🇱 September 8th: Growing international pressure for a TWO-STATE SOLUTION involving Israel’s land ⚔️ September 10th: Israel-Iran conflict continuing to widen across the region THIS IS THE VERY TIGHT CLUSTER WE’RE LOOKING AT!! 🔊 CHURCH: The Feast of Trumpets begins TOMORROW, FRIDAY 9/11–SUNDAY 9/13—and LOOK at the convergence surrounding it this year! Israel at the center. The nations focused on dividing the land. Iran and its bow bending, ready to break! War expanding. Earthquakes. Intense volcanic activity. Signs in the heavens. And all of it converging as the appointed time of the TRUMPET arrives this year on a Sabbath—A DAY OF REST! ALL THE SIGNS ARE NOT QUIETING DOWN—THEY ARE INTENSIFYING! KEEP LOOKING UP!!! 🎺QUICKLY FIRST — WHAT IS THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS? The Feast of Trumpets—Yom Teruahin the Bible—is one of the LORD's seven appointed feasts. It begins on 1 Tishrei, the first day of the seventh month, and God commanded it to be a day of rest, holy assembly, and trumpet blasts: 📖“In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.” Lev 23:24 👉🏼The trumpet was used in Scripture to call God's people together, announce movement of the camps, sound an alarm, and proclaim important occasions. And this year is extra special! 🎺Trumpets begins this Friday at sunset September 11, 2026, and 1 Tishrei falls on a Sabbath—God's day of REST. That isn't extremely rare, but the fact that the appointed time of the trumpet falls on the day of rest immediately makes me think of this verse, Isaiah 26:20: But look at what comes BEFORE: 📖 “Your dead shall live... Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust... And the earth shall cast out the dead.” Is 26:19 Then AFTER: 📖 “Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, until the indignation is past.” Is 26:20 And the next verse tells us why: 📖 “For behold, the LORD comes out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity...” Is 26:21 🔗So, look at the prophetic sequence here: FIRST, resurrection. THEN, “Come, My people”—enter the chambers, hide, and rest. And AFTER that comes the indignation upon the earth. THIS MAKES US THINK ABOUT PAUL: 📖 “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.” 1 Thes 4:16–17 Remember originally there were no chapter breaks—so after saying this Paul points directly to the Day of the Lord: 📖 “But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren... you yourselves know perfectly that the Day of the LORD so comes as a thief in the night.” 1 Thes 5:1–2 Look at Paul's train of thought: 👉🏼Trumpet of God 👉🏼 Dead in Christ rise 👉🏼Church caught up 👉🏼Then Paul immediately turns to the Day of the LORD And centuries before Paul, look again at Isaiah's picture: 👉🏼The dead arise 👉🏼“Come, My people” 👉🏼Enter your chambers 👉🏼 Hide until the indignation passes 👉🏼 The LORD comes to punish the inhabitants of the earth THE PARALLEL IS AMAZING! And this year—coincidentally— 1 Tishrei, the first full day of Trumpets—falls on the Sabbath, which is THE DAY OF REST!! I LOVE IT!! NOW — LOOK AT THE WORLD INTO WHICH THIS FEAST IS ARRIVING. This is where things get really interesting!! Because Trumpets 2026 is not arriving in a quiet world by any stretch of the imagination. It is arriving while the convergence we have already been watching seems to be getting LOUDER! 🗓️I posted last week about Joel already, so I'm gonna try to not repeat my self. But remember what Peter said in his inaugural message to the Church at Pentecost, when he pointed directly back to Joel: 📖 “And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.” Acts 2:19–20 🔔A QUICK NOTE HERE: Some understand the Day of the LORD as referring only to Armageddon at the end of the Tribulation. I understand it as the 7 year tribulation period of judgment associated with Daniel’s 70th Week—not only its final battle. 👉🏼Paul says the Day of the LORD comes “as a thief in the night,” when people are saying “Peace and safety!” and then “sudden destruction” comes upon them (1 Thes 5:2–3). After seven years of catastrophic judgment, nobody will be saying "peace and safety" as preparing for Armageddon. Back to what I was saying: since I wrote that post last week, the signs haven’t gotten quieter… THEY JUST KEEP PILING ON!!! ⚠️We’re not looking at one volcano and saying, “THIS IS JOEL.” We’re not looking at one earthquake, one war, one eclipse, or one column of smoke and saying, “PROPHECY FULFILLED.” WE’RE JUST LOOKING AT THE CLUSTER. And look at what has been added to that picture just as we approach Trumpets: 🌋 ANAK KRAKATAU — INDONESIA A continuous eruptive episode lasting approximately 25 hours. Ash sent 50,000 feet into the atmosphere. Jakarta's international airport was forced to close. Nearly 3,000 flights disrupted. 341,000 passengers stranded. When I saw those towering plumes rising, I immediately thought of Joel’s language: “Pillars of smoke.” Fire. Ash. Towering plumes—so massive they were captured from space in NASA satellite imagery. 🔥 AND LOOK AT WHAT IS HAPPENING IN INDONESIA AT THE SAME TIME. From September 1–7 alone, Indonesia's wildfire emissions reached 19.7 MILLION metric tons of CO₂—more than ONE-THIRD of the entire world's wildfire emissions during that period and 273% ABOVE the seasonal average. Authorities are calling this Indonesia's most intense wildfire season in 11 years, with massive haze now affecting millions of people. THE MIDDLE EAST IS NOT CALMING DOWN EITHER: ISRAEL — IRAN — AND NOW THE CONFLICT IS WIDENING: Last Thursday Prime Minister Netanyahu said: 🎙️“The achievements are immense, but there is still more to complete. I mean, first and foremost, the toppling of the regime. This regime in Iran — its end is near. It is weak, it is fighting for its life, it is faltering.” 🔔Remember what we're watching and waiting for. The UK, France and Canada have announced new measures to protect that outcome—and they plan to take that effort directly to the UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY later this month. 2009. Alex Karp goes on Charlie Rose. He almost never does television. He's running a company called Palantir that has zero salespeople, took three years to build before generating a dollar of revenue, and is named after the seeing stones in The Lord of the Rings. He spent years studying questions like "what does it mean to know something," and says the work was intelligible to maybe 30 or 40 people on earth. He co-founded Palantir in 2003 with Peter Thiel and a group of former PayPal engineers because he believed Silicon Valley should be involved in the fight against terrorism. That's the actual origin story. A philosopher and a bunch of payment processing guys decided to go after Al-Qaeda. What he says in this interview is wild in hindsight. Everyone in government at the time was doing broad data mining, casting giant algorithmic nets across datasets and hoping something useful came back. Karp called that approach broken. His argument had two parts. One: terrorists are entrepreneurs. They figure out how the last guy got caught and change their patterns overnight. A static algorithm against someone who adapts every week is a losing game. Two: when algorithms nobody understands are scanning everyone, civil liberties disappear because there's no record of what the government actually looked at or why. So Palantir built the opposite. A platform where a human analyst sits in the loop, interacts with data directly, spots patterns in real time, and every single step gets tagged. If the government looked at you, there's a paper trail. Where did the evidence come from? Were they allowed to see it? Did they use data from one case and sneak it into another? Karp called it "predicate-based search." Find the needle. Leave the haystack alone. Then he drops this line about cyber warfare: "What would have taken a large government organization can now be done with two or three teenagers in a coffee shop." In 2009. You get attacked, you don't know if it's a nation-state or a kid in a basement, and you, as the president, have to decide how to respond. He warned that if Americans ever felt like there was a trade-off between security and freedom, "we'll lose." The company took 17 years to go public. Seventeen. BREAKING NEWS🚨🚨🚨: Michael Proctor will be forced to appear for his deposition with Alan Jackson and Karen Read, however Judge Gildea will delay his final ruling until 4pm ET today in order to supplement Proctor's "insufficient" arguments to the court regarding a protective order to delay that deposition. Another hearing will happen today at 4:15PM et TODAY (Monday, June 8th, 2026, via Zoom). Proctor's deposition, for now, is stayed for 24 hours. "For this case to proceed efficiently, and for our system of justice to work, certain basic things need to happen," Judge Gildea began during his ruling. "A subpoena needs to mean something, a lawyer's agreement needs to have some meaning, lawyers need to communicate with their clients, clients need to keep their attorneys informed, and when given an opportunity to provide support for a party's request, that party needs to avail themselves of the opportunity," Judge continued (scolding Proctor's counsel for failing to provide a sufficient record to justify a delay in Proctor's deposition, despite an order by the court on Friday for such information to be filed). Based on the record before me, there is insufficient information to support a delay in the deposition going forward, however, given the claims made in the filings over the weekend, I will delay making a final decision on the motion until 4PM today, to give Mr. Proctor's counsel to supplement the record before me," Judge Gildea concluded. The Michael Proctor and Sean Goode "Proctorgate" files have caused serious damage, and Karen Read stands tall. Read more about those shocking, and abhorrent, messages here (also discussed by Judge Gildea during today's hearing) wherein Proctor (a former State Trooper who investigated Karen Read for the death of John O'Keefe) and former Canton cop Sean Goode talked about everything from how Anne Frank was a "liar" to how Proctor felt Goode should "let them die" after Proctor noticed a car accident victim was, in Proctor's words, a "ni**er". Proctor also discussed "planting cocaine" on someone and, shockingly, said "America sucks" because the country stopped the Third Reich during World War II (while, at the same time, saying "Jews in Sharon" should be "put in a concentration camp") at this link: To this day, the death of John O'Keefe remains unsolved. Proctor is just one of multiple witnesses involving in the twice-failed prosecution of Karen for John's death who Read's lawyers have told Judge Gildea are attempting to avoid or delay depositions (including Colin Albert, Jennifer McCabe, Brian Higgins, Matt McCabe, Nicole Albert and Brian Albert). Last week, on Wednesday, I reported: In a shocking hearing before Judge Mark Gildea on Wednesday, Karen Read's lawyers announced that they have been forced to file a motion to compel a deposition of Colin Albert. Further, Karen's lawyers will be filing motions to compel depositions of Jennifer McCabe, Brian Higgins, Matt McCabe, Nicole Albert and Brian Albert, as those parties are seeking to delay their depositions until late July, or early August, of 2026. "Colin Albert refused to appear or produce documents...his attorney said he is unavailable and then, suddenly, said Colin would only be available for seven more days and, then, [Colin] would be gone for the entire discovery period," Karen's Lawyer, Aaron Rosenberg, told Judge Gildea during Wednesday's hearing. In that regard, here is the full recording of today's John O'Keefe and Karen Read hearing in Plymouth Superior Court. This case is one of three ongoing civil lawsuits (one in federal court and two in Plymouth District Court in front of Judge Gildea) that stem from the, yet-unsolved, murder of Boston Police Officer John O'Keefe. To this day, it is unclear if anyone has found the Mystery Man who is suspected of being at the center of potential upcoming investigations by state and federal authorities as to John's death. Read more about that Mystery Man here - Judge Gildea began Wednesday's hearing by asking counsel for all parties how many depositions have been conducted in the case. "I am hoping at least four have been taken," said Judge Gildea. The O'Keefe lawyer told Judge Gildea that only three depositions have taken place. Judge then asked the O'Keefe lawyer what depositions need to still take place for the plaintiffs. "There are 12," the O'Keefe lawyer responded, including Paul Markowski. The O'Keefe lawyers also need to change Karen's deposition until June 24th. The O'Keefe lawyers changed Karen's deposition from July to June 19th, but multiple lawyer's will not be working on that day as that day is a federal holiday. Judge was not pleased that so few depositions have taken place, but Judge understood that June 19th is a federal holiday and, in turn, Karen's deposition will be held on June 24th, 2026. Karen's lawyers had proposed four other dates and Mr. Diller (the O'Keefe lawyer) picked a federal holiday, instead. "It is beyond belief to me the number of experienced lawyers involved in this case, the length the case has been pending...for however long it has been pending for all parties...that there are so few depositions that have taken place...I don't need to hear all the details, and the nitpicking, what I need to hear is, going forward, how you all are going to get the discovery done," Judge Gildea said to all lawyers. Things, at that point, got quite intense, as Karen's lawyers then noted to Judge Gildea that they have six depositions currently scheduled for the following six witnesses; Brian and Nicole Albert, Matthew McCabe, Allie McCabe, Jennifer McCabe and Brian Higgins. However, the law firm for all of those people got back to Karen's lawyers last night, on June 2nd, 2026, at 9:45PM and said NONE of those witnesses could appear on the dates scheduled for their depositions and, for some reason, none of those witnesses are able to appear for depositions until late July of 2026 at the earliest. Stunningly, no reason was given for why those witnesses refused to appear for their depositions on the dates originally proposed by Karen's lawyers, Attorney Rosenberg told Judge Gildea. Those notices of depositions went out on May 5th, 2026, said Karen's lawyers, when Judge Gildea asked about that date (indicating Judge Gildea, already displeased with discovery and deposition delays in the years-old case, was not pleased to hear about witnesses, on their own accord, attempting to delay depositions by two more months). Karen's lawyers, picking up on Judge Gildea's frustration, then noted that they intend to file motions to compel those witnesses to appear for depositions as a result of the proposed delays. Also, during the hearing, it was announced that former Massachusetts State Trooper Michael Proctor will be deposed by Karen Read's lawyers on Monday, June 8th, 2026, per a statement from Karen's lawyers in court on Wednesday. The O'Keefe lawyer, for their part, noted they intend to depose Aidan Kearney, Karen Read, Kaitlin Boudreau Read (Nathan Read's wife), Janet Read, Nathan Read, William Read, multiple witnesses from the bars (C.F. McCarthy's and The Waterfall), and an outstanding deposition that Karen's team needed to move last week. Judge Gildea then asked what, if anything, he could do to help the parties (other than moving quickly on motions before the court when submitted). Both parties said they will involve the court, in motion practice, as needed going forward. Judge then wanted to know what motions have been sent out under Rule 9(a). It was at that point that Karen's lawyers announced that she will be filing a motion to compel production of documents and the deposition of Colin Albert. "Colin Albert refused to appear or produce documents...his attorney said he is unavailable and then, suddenly, said Colin would only be available for seven more days and then [Colin] would be gone for the entire discovery period," Karen's Lawyer, Aaron Rosenberg, told Judge Mark Gildea during the hearing. Earlier, Karen also announced that she intends to file similar motions for Brian Higgins, Matt McCabe, Jen McCabe, Nicole Albert and Brian Albert, as those witnesses are attempting to avoid their depositions until late July or early August of 2026. The O'Keefe lawyer, for their part, told Judge Gildea they intend to serve a motion to compel regarding Aidan Kearney as a keeper of record (and, for some reason, Diller wants documents from Aidan's ongoing case in Norfolk Superior Court). "File a motion and we'll put it on for an expedited hearing," Judge Gildea said regarding that issue, and any other motions to compel the parties may want to file (including the motion regarding Colin Albert that has already been served, and should be in the docket in the next few weeks). When a motion is served under Rule 9(a), it is first given to the opposing party who then responds. Then, the moving party (the "movant") is able to file a sur-reply. Only at that point does the entire motion to compel get compiled as a so-called "Rule 9 (a) package" and, in turn, appear on the docket (with all filings related to a given motion showing up at the same time). It is unclear when the motions to compel the depositions of Brian Higgins, Jen McCabe, Matt McCabe, Nicole Albert and Brian Albert will be served and, eventually, docketed with the court. BREAKING NEWS🚨🚨🚨: Michael Proctor will be forced to appear for his deposition with Alan Jackson and Karen Read, however Judge Gildea will delay his final ruling until 4pm ET today in order to supplement Proctor's "insufficient" arguments to the court regarding a protective order to delay that deposition. Another hearing will happen today at 4:15PM et TODAY (Monday, June 8th, 2026, via Zoom). Proctor's deposition, for now, is stayed for 24 hours. "For this case to proceed efficiently, and for our system of justice to work, certain basic things need to happen," Judge Gildea began during his ruling. "A subpoena needs to mean something, a lawyer's agreement needs to have some meaning, lawyers need to communicate with their clients, clients need to keep their attorneys informed, and when given an opportunity to provide support for a party's request, that party needs to avail themselves of the opportunity," Judge continued (scolding Proctor's counsel for failing to provide a sufficient record to justify a delay in Proctor's deposition, despite an order by the court on Friday for such information to be filed). Based on the record before me, there is insufficient information to support a delay in the deposition going forward, however, given the claims made in the filings over the weekend, I will delay making a final decision on the motion until 4PM today, to give Mr. Proctor's counsel to supplement the record before me," Judge Gildea concluded. Last week, on Wednesday, I reported: In a shocking hearing before Judge Mark Gildea on Wednesday, Karen Read's lawyers announced that they have been forced to file a motion to compel a deposition of Colin Albert. Further, Karen's lawyers will be filing motions to compel depositions of Jennifer McCabe, Brian Higgins, Matt McCabe, Nicole Albert and Brian Albert, as those parties are seeking to delay their depositions until late July, or early August, of 2026. "Colin Albert refused to appear or produce documents...his attorney said he is unavailable and then, suddenly, said Colin would only be available for seven more days and, then, [Colin] would be gone for the entire discovery period," Karen's Lawyer, Aaron Rosenberg, told Judge Gildea during Wednesday's hearing. In that regard, here is the full recording of today's John O'Keefe and Karen Read hearing in Plymouth Superior Court. This case is one of three ongoing civil lawsuits (one in federal court and two in Plymouth District Court in front of Judge Gildea) that stem from the, yet-unsolved, murder of Boston Police Officer John O'Keefe. To this day, it is unclear if anyone has found the Mystery Man who is suspected of being at the center of potential upcoming investigations by state and federal authorities as to John's death. Read more about that Mystery Man here - Judge Gildea began Wednesday's hearing by asking counsel for all parties how many depositions have been conducted in the case. "I am hoping at least four have been taken," said Judge Gildea. The O'Keefe lawyer told Judge Gildea that only three depositions have taken place. Judge then asked the O'Keefe lawyer what depositions need to still take place for the plaintiffs. "There are 12," the O'Keefe lawyer responded, including Paul Markowski. The O'Keefe lawyers also need to change Karen's deposition until June 24th. The O'Keefe lawyers changed Karen's deposition from July to June 19th, but multiple lawyer's will not be working on that day as that day is a federal holiday. Judge was not pleased that so few depositions have taken place, but Judge understood that June 19th is a federal holiday and, in turn, Karen's deposition will be held on June 24th, 2026. Karen's lawyers had proposed four other dates and Mr. Diller (the O'Keefe lawyer) picked a federal holiday, instead. "It is beyond belief to me the number of experienced lawyers involved in this case, the length the case has been pending...for however long it has been pending for all parties...that there are so few depositions that have taken place...I don't need to hear all the details, and the nitpicking, what I need to hear is, going forward, how you all are going to get the discovery done," Judge Gildea said to all lawyers. Things, at that point, got quite intense, as Karen's lawyers then noted to Judge Gildea that they have six depositions currently scheduled for the following six witnesses; Brian and Nicole Albert, Matthew McCabe, Allie McCabe, Jennifer McCabe and Brian Higgins. However, the law firm for all of those people got back to Karen's lawyers last night, on June 2nd, 2026, at 9:45PM and said NONE of those witnesses could appear on the dates scheduled for their depositions and, for some reason, none of those witnesses are able to appear for depositions until late July of 2026 at the earliest. Stunningly, no reason was given for why those witnesses refused to appear for their depositions on the dates originally proposed by Karen's lawyers, Attorney Rosenberg told Judge Gildea. Those notices of depositions went out on May 5th, 2026, said Karen's lawyers, when Judge Gildea asked about that date (indicating Judge Gildea, already displeased with discovery and deposition delays in the years-old case, was not pleased to hear about witnesses, on their own accord, attempting to delay depositions by two more months). Karen's lawyers, picking up on Judge Gildea's frustration, then noted that they intend to file motions to compel those witnesses to appear for depositions as a result of the proposed delays. Also, during the hearing, it was announced that former Massachusetts State Trooper Michael Proctor will be deposed by Karen Read's lawyers on Monday, June 8th, 2026, per a statement from Karen's lawyers in court on Wednesday. The O'Keefe lawyer, for their part, noted they intend to depose Aidan Kearney, Karen Read, Kaitlin Boudreau Read (Nathan Read's wife), Janet Read, Nathan Read, William Read, multiple witnesses from the bars (C.F. McCarthy's and The Waterfall), and an outstanding deposition that Karen's team needed to move last week. Judge Gildea then asked what, if anything, he could do to help the parties (other than moving quickly on motions before the court when submitted). Both parties said they will involve the court, in motion practice, as needed going forward. Judge then wanted to know what motions have been sent out under Rule 9(a). It was at that point that Karen's lawyers announced that she will be filing a motion to compel production of documents and the deposition of Colin Albert. When a motion is served under Rule 9(a), it is first given to the opposing party who then responds. Then, the moving party (the "movant") is able to file a sur-reply. Only at that point does the entire motion to compel get compiled as a so-called "Rule 9 (a) package" and, in turn, appear on the docket (with all filings related to a given motion showing up at the same time). NR (00:09.8), "Nick, I want to talk to you about what your party would do if it does indeed gain some power after the votes on Thursday. But I want to begin by putting to you one of the latest storeys about you. A Times investigation says that you've made a series of false or disputed claims about jobs you've had in the past with." NR (00:31.8), "Why, for example, did you say you were a spokesperson for the British Red Cross when they are absolutely clear that, though a supporter of theirs, you were never a spokesperson for them?" ZP (00:42.3), "So I hosted, various fundraisers for the British Red Cross and indeed I would go on stage and speak for them about the amazing work they do tackling humanitarian crises, on the climate crisis and indeed for refugees all around the world. I use the wrong word and I accept that." ZP (00:57.5), "But I would essentially take words on stage with me and speak. It's important, though, and I accept this, that, you know, I don't support any political party and I've made sure that's been taken down." NR (01:06.5), "You say this sort of storey is a fuss about nothing, that you get your facts wrong because it comes up with other examples." ZP (01:11.7), "Well, I think it's totally fine to ask me questions about my past. I would also say in the same breath, though the Times published a pretty anti Semitic cartoon of me last week. I asked them to apologise. And it feels some of these storeys feel like scraping the barrel to kind of go back 10, 15 years. I've had so many friends, I'm literally talking maybe 20 or 30 in the last few weeks who have phoned me and said, a Times journalist has been phoning and they've been desperately trying, trying to find things about your past." ZP (01:36.5), "They asked me lots of questions and seemed disappointed that I didn't have some juicy, dirty gossip." NR (01:41.6), "Yeah, well, there was. Whether you call it juicy or dirty, and it wasn't gossip, it was a fact. The fact that you claimed that as a hypnotherapist, you could enlarge women's breasts using the power of thought. People are entitled to say, what's this guy really about?" ZP (01:57.2), "People are totally entitled to say that. And that's an important part of politics, that people ask you questions. What I would say is that, you know, this was 13 years ago. It was a Sun journalist's idea. I've apologised for that. NR (02:34.1), "How did you react? You said you were under relentless attacks because they, your critics don't want a wealth tax, don't want public ownership. They're trying everything in their power to stop us, you said. It's a curious thing to say, isn't it? Ahead of local elections, Green councillors will not have the power to implement any of those policies, will they?" ZP (02:54.8), "Well, I think the relentless attacks on the Green Party in this election, for a local election have partly been about the local election, but really they're about the bigger picture right now. The bigger picture is when I ran to be leader of the Green party, we had 50,000 members, we've now got 225,000 members. So we are rising." ZP (03:11.1), "And I think lots of people are worried about the prospect. And when I say people, people who own, right wing media, multimillionaires and billionaires who are worried about the prospect that they might have to pay a little bit more tax. And so I think it's important that I focus on the vision and the hope and our actual plan." ZP (03:27.4), "I also think it's a complete reality, though we've seen it in the past before with left wing leaders, that there's no secret, there's no love lost between me and the right wing media. And almost every single day they print things that just aren't true." NR (03:38.8), "But just address the point I raised. Wealth tax councils won't get to do that. Public ownership councils don't get to do that. Well, not entirely. We'll come to that in a second. You are running on a national platform of change that the people who are elected on Thursday, whether in the Welsh Parliament, you don't run candidates in the Scottish one, or in English, local councils simply cannot do." ZP (04:03.2), "Well, I think it's about what are your values as a party? And whilst other party leaders and other parties take donations from oil and gas companies or arms trade companies, private healthcare or gambling, Green Party councillors only have two vested interests and Those vested interests. We want to protect the communities we seek to serve and we want to protect the environment." NR (04:21.6), "Well, let's come to that, then, because most interesting, perhaps, is to look at what Greens say who are running for office. You are not. You are a member of the London assembly, you're not a Member of Parliament, you're not running in these elections. Now, you live in Hackney. Hackney happens in northeast London to be a top Green target for taking control from the Labour Party." NR (04:41.9), "So let's look at protecting communities. For example, on crime, the manifesto calls the Metropolitan Police institutionally racist, homophobic, sexist and misogynists. It goes on to say, greens cannot accept this system. It calls for safe spaces for, heroin users to shoot up, to end cautions for street prostitution and to end what the manifesto calls discriminatory policing of delivery riders." NR (05:08.8), "This is an agenda for an endless fight with the police, isn't it?" ZP (05:12.0), "I don't think so. Baroness Casey, in the last couple of years, did a review into Metropolitan Police and it was actually the findings that found it institutionally racist and misogynistic. Something that Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, to his credit, accepts. It is noticeable that Mark Rowley, the Commissioner of the Police, doesn't accept that, yet they continue, to work together in that way." ZP (05:31.1), "On the issue of drug harm, we have the highest drug deaths, of any country in Europe. And every single year for the past 13 years, drug deaths have increased. So I think the question anyone has, and we have in Hackney, is that the war on drugs has clearly failed. It's failed in cities right across this country, and more and more people are, often taking dangerous drugs." ZP (05:50.3), "So do we want people to buy them on the black market or on street corners? Or do we want people to go to a pharmacy or a medical health professional where, if they have an addiction to dangerous drugs, we can work with them to take a public health approach based in harm reduction." NR (06:02.7), "Public health approaches to. Is to legalise hard drugs and to legalise prostitution, you say to legalise and regulate and the regulators. It's still legalised, isn't it?" ZP (06:11.5), "No, the point is you can't just go into a shop and buy drugs, which is how it's presented in the press. Again, because I can keep talking about what councillors can do, rather than what" NR (06:18.3), "you would do if you were Prime Minister, because that's for another interview. Are you saying councillors should cut the police budget? Because that's what it seems to imply when you say, we cannot accept this system, let the council spend Money on crime reduction. Don't give that money to the police." ZP (06:33.7), "It's about reprioritizing. So it's." NR (06:35.5), "Does that mean cut in English?" ZP (06:36.7), "No. So let's look at example. We're straight back onto drugs. A lot of police time is spent on stop and search for cannabis use, for instance. It doesn't escape people's notice that that is often, in the politics of racism, if you're a young black person, I think it's something like you're 18 times more likely to be stopped and searched than your white peer, despite the fact there's no evidence that they're more likely to be dealing or using drugs." ZP (07:00.8), "And so I think it's important that we make sure the police time is spent properly, which I think is about community prevention, about cohesiveness and bringing communities together, particularly in, like, whether it means redirecting the budget." NR (07:11.4), "Does it mean the police budget?" ZP (07:12.9), "Well, it means redirecting within the police budget, so making sure that the time police are spent is spent on community safety." NR (07:18.2), "Well, it's interesting that we talked about police because, as you know, you've come under serious criticism for retweeting criticism of the action of the police officers who stopped the alleged attacker of Jews in Golda's Green. Now, you apologised for retweeting that." NR (07:34.1), "You said you should have a meeting with the head of the Met. You sent him a letter. I want to ask you a different question. You've not apologised for the content of that. Why did you empathise with the attacker, and not with police officers who feared for their own lives and were trying to protect other people's lives?" ZP (07:53.3), "I think there's two things in that that I, really clearly want to say. The first is my very first response to the attack was to be horrif, as everyone was, I'm sure. And the first thing I posted was solidarity to the victim, to the family and indeed, to people who are suffering right now, including as a Jewish man, where Jewish safety is not abstract." NR (08:12.0), "But then you posted that officers were repeatedly and violently kicking a mentally ill man in the head when he was incapacitated by a Taser, caused extreme offence to those officers, to the head of the Met and to many people. I ask you again, why did you empathise, Empathise with the attacker, not with the police officer." ZP (08:28.9), "As I said, there's two things I wanted to say, so that was the first. The second, what I want to say is two things can be true at the same Time officers are incredibly brave when they run towards scenes of crimes that most people, including myself, would want to run away from. At the same time, I think it is accurate, and that I was also traumatised, by seeing, someone handcuffed and completely, repeatedly kicked in the head." ZP (08:51.7), "Now, sure, if you'll forgive me, it is an answer," NR (08:54.4), "but it's not an answer to the question. You posted something with the power that you have, with the number of people who follows us, and not empathising in that post with the Jewish community or critically with the police officers, you empathise with the attacker. Look what they're doing to the alleged attacker." ZP (09:11.1), "I don't think it was your choice. As I say, the first thing I did was show solidarity to the victims and I thank the officers. Second, though, I think the sign of a compassionate society is how we treat people, even people who have done horrific things, because actually, the way we do justice in this country is in court." NR (09:26.0), "You said a key value of the Greens was protecting communities. What are your proposals for protecting the Jewish community?" ZP (09:33.5), "The Jewish community is not safe right now. And as I said, as a Jewish man, this isn't abstract for me. In fact, in the last six weeks alone, two people have been arrested. So how would you protect anti Semitic attacks towards me? I think there's lots that needs to happen in this country. The first is community cohesion and community building. Some of the work that I'm proudest of in London, that I see Londoners do, is where I see the Jewish community working alongside the Muslim community." NR (09:55.1), "What would you do? What would Zach Polanski do in order to reduce attacks on the Jewish community?" ZP (09:59.9), "So, first of all, to invest in that work, that community, faith work, to make sure communities stand together. And most horrifying of all, although this individual has now been arrested, one of your candidates who Reposted something saying ramming a synagogue isn't anti Semitism, it's revenge." NR (10:56.8), "What are you, Zach Polanski doing to end these disgusting messages?" ZP (11:03.5), "Those messages are all unacceptable and it's important to condemn that. The Green Party are an anti racist party and it's important that we stick to our values." NR (11:11.0), "We can't just say the words were an anti racist bar to. And I've just read you out five of the most revolting comments at a time when, according to an independent advisor, we face a national emergency of anti Semitism. ZP (11:50.5), "This is a handful of cases and actually we have over 4,500 candidates, the vast, vast majority of which are doing amazing work in their communities right now, going out there to tackle the cost of living crisis, to make sure that we're funding public services and making sure that it's about people power and community, grassroots power." NR (12:05.1), "You can dismiss one or two as, just, unrepresentative. I've just read five. I could have read 20 cases of revolting anti Semitism posted by your candidates. Now you're a new leader, how are you going to avoid becoming the new Jeremy Corbyn of British politics?" ZP (12:21.5), "Well, I think me and Jeremy are very different people and there's much, you know, the question was almost inviting me to condemn Jeremy Corbyn. I think there was lots that Jeremy Corbyn was putting forward to this country that I think was really positive. We've talked about wealth taxes, about public ownership. I also think it's important, speaking, for myself right now, that we make sure that we have this vetting process, that it's really clear that anti Semitism, Islamophobia, any form of hatred or hate, crime is not welcome." NR (12:47.3), "Do you believe that Palestine is, to coin a phrase, on the ballot this Thursday?" ZP (12:52.3), "I think lots of things are on the ballot this Thursday." And I think what people have seen in this country is a genocide for two and a half years that our government is still arming, are still sharing intelligence with. And I think lots of people feel very strongly both about their local services, as they should do, and feel equally strongly about the fact that there's a reprehensible genocide happening." ZP (13:48.5), "And they vote, but the way they vote in local elections" NR (13:52.6), "should be determined by their views of Israel and Palestine." ZP (13:56.0), "I wouldn't tell anyone how their vote should be determined, but I think it's an element for lots of people in how they vote." NR (14:00.1), "And do you think that will contribute to community cohesion? Do you?" ZP (14:02.7), "I think yes, because I think, we shouldn't pit Jewish safety against a genocide in Gaza. That's conflating anti Semitism and criticism of the Israeli government. That's something Benjamin Netanyahu does regularly. And as a Jewish person, that makes me feel less safe." NR (14:16.4), "Sure. But there are lots of Jewish people who would say to you they feel unsafe if they feel that their counsellors are motivated first and foremost by Palestine. And if somebody gives that speech, for example, about Palestine being on the ballot, they are likely to think that." NR (14:34.6), "We looked for, example at Barnett Greens, where one in seven residents identify as Jewish. And it includes in its manifesto the fact that, you're standing up for Palestine. Do you think that's going to help?" ZP (14:49.0), "Well, I walk regularly on Palestinian marches with hundreds and hundreds, in fact, thousands of people, many of whom are Jewish. And there have been rabbis who have spoken out on this too. I accept, though, there are Jewish people whose views are equally as valid who, don't agree with those views." ZP (15:04.0), "And I think the job of all of us who are in public life right now is to de. Escalate tensions. And look, how do we bring people together? And I accept that's a huge challenge. And I think one of the ways we could do that is by ending our complicity in the genocide." NR (15:15.4), "Let's turn finally to another issue. We'll talk at greater length when, we're talking about the possibility of you being Prime Minister, which you have said that you would like to do. One thing that is very high on the agenda now is the soaring cost of government borrowing. What would the Greens do to cut it?" ZP (15:30.6), "Well, I think we need to make sure that we're investing. So I think there's two ways of doing that. The first is, wealth taxes, which I know we've rehearsed before, but I'll just say that's for first place." NR (00:09.8), "Nick, I want to talk to you about what your party would do if it does indeed gain some power after the votes on Thursday. But I want to begin by putting to you one of the latest storeys about you. A Times investigation says that you've made a series of false or disputed claims about jobs you've had in the past with." NR (00:31.8), "Why, for example, did you say you were a spokesperson for the British Red Cross when they are absolutely clear that, though a supporter of theirs, you were never a spokesperson for them?" ZP (00:42.3), "So I hosted, various fundraisers for the British Red Cross and indeed I would go on stage and speak for them about the amazing work they do tackling humanitarian crises, on the climate crisis and indeed for refugees all around the world. It's important, though, and I accept this, that, you know, I don't support any political party and I've made sure that's been taken down." I've had so many friends, I'm literally talking maybe 20 or 30 in the last few weeks who have phoned me and said, a Times journalist has been phoning and they've been desperately trying, trying to find things about your past." The bigger picture is when I ran to be leader of the Green party, we had 50,000 members, we've now got 225,000 members. So we are rising." And when I say people, people who own, right wing media, multimillionaires and billionaires who are worried about the prospect that they might have to pay a little bit more tax. It is noticeable that Mark Rowley, the Commissioner of the Police, doesn't accept that, yet they continue, to work together in that way." ZP (05:31.1), "On the issue of drug harm, we have the highest drug deaths, of any country in Europe. And every single year for the past 13 years, drug deaths have increased. So I think the question anyone has, and we have in Hackney, is that the war on drugs has clearly failed. It's failed in cities right across this country, and more and more people are, often taking dangerous drugs." ZP (05:50.3), "So do we want people to buy them on the black market or on street corners? Or do we want people to go to a pharmacy or a medical health professional where, if they have an addiction to dangerous drugs, we can work with them to take a public health approach based in harm reduction." $521.50 per MSTR. This is my current base case for Strategy's price by March 31, 2028, calculated using Strategy Simulator. The calculation is based on 7 input assumptions used to produce the price. Bull and bear cycles are muting, but also accelerating. The bulk of a bull cycle's gains and losses are now happening well before the post-halving year. Given we're at the cycle 200WMA, the power law floor, and we tend to bottom near midterms, I believe we will make an accelerated return to the previous high within the next 18 months, aided by capital rotation out of AI. This will be followed by months of chop close to that level, like in 2024. 2) mNAV: 2.0 This is in the realm of Strategy's bull market EV mNAV based on data from last cycle. In the particular months when it broke all-time highs, EV mNAV could expand as high as 2.5X. I do not doubt that people will buy in at 1.5X to 2.5X premiums again as BTC continues ripping: in a bull market, FOMO is a helluva drug. 3) Fully Diluted Shares Outstanding: 696.7M Since the start of 2023, Strategy has increased MSTR's share count at a rate of 40.5% per year. I assume this rate continues, moving from 402M shares today to 696M by March 2028. 4) Cost of Capital: 12% I assume Strategy will return STRC to par and begin heavy issuance again in the near future. I predict they will use proceeds from STRC to retire their convertible debt and all other preferred instruments, as was alluded into in Strategy's last earnings call, bringing their overall cost of capital to a blended, uniform 12%, as reflected by the current STRC dividend rate. I don't expect this rate to change soon. 5) The Balance Sheet Senior Claims: $95.79B Bitcoin Reserve: 2,058,409 BTC USD Reserve: $28.79B Here it gets really crazy. We have two clues from management as to how much STRC they'd like to issue at any given time. Firstly, they'd like to target a 90/10 BTC-to-USD split. Secondly, they'd like to target a range 2 to 3 years of USD coverage. Based on these clues, we can calculate how much STRC Strategy will issue based on how big we expect their balance sheet to get - using my previous assumptions of Bitcoin price, mNAV, and share issuance. It gets rather complex after that, since the amount of STRC issued also impacts the balance sheet assets - so it's a reflexive relationship. Running the numbers through Claude, these figures work out to the above. The numbers may seem astronomical now, but I daresay they're likely given how fast Strategy has proven it can accumulate BTC now - even in a bear market. Strategy is becoming a "MonSTR" and will likely be a growing method by which people get their BTC exposure going forward. #IronyWritLargeAndLies Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa's former adviser Trevor Ncube, a local media publisher who owns Alpha Media Holdings (AMH) with the President's son-in-law Gerald Mlotshwa, has raised new controversy with fresh attacks on main opposition CCC leader Nelson Chamisa whom he says does not listen to anybody. Ncube has been consistently lambasting Chamisa calling him all sorts of names, going as far as insinuating he is a tribalist and dictator, but the CCC leader typically does not reply. Ncube owns AMH, publishers of NewsDay, Zimbabwe Independent, The Standard and online broadcasting platform Heart & Soul. NewsDay and Heart & Soul are names of Ncube's media platforms derived from BBC programmes. Although he postures as a neutral political observer who only wants to fix Zimbabwe's problems, Ncube - who behaves as if he has a God-ordained mission to do that - is actually a partisan political player operating in the dark shadows and an opportunist who hops from one party to another. Is he superhuman? He works with others, but it is also true that other people are not happy. That's what happens in politics. He is also fully aware of critical issues that he needs to address urgently, that is the limitations and weaknesses from a political, structural, organisational and strategic point of view. Chamisa welcomes ideas and criticism from well-meaning people, not some malicious malcontents and bullies. He is a bona fide opposition leader who genuinely wants a solution to the country's problems and he is open to working with other people who seriously want to resolve national issues, not noise-makers and impostors. It's time we challenge these false and negative narratives by people who are more opposed to the opposition than the ruling party. Chamisa is an opposition leader trying to help a find a solution to our country's problems, he is not the leader of the country and the problem. He is the alternative to a failed leadership and its policies that have ruined the country with devastation consequences for all, especially the poor and vulnerable. Here's a devlog made by an anonymous Chinese fan replicating the surprisingly brand new technique that I developed for detecting asteroids which wound up being so powerful that it can easily track Stealth Fighters from over 100km away even when it’s only using three $30 webcams as sensors meaning it easily outperforms all modern stealth tracking techniques in precision, range and cost. And while this demo is using optical light, this same technique which I call pixel motion to voxel projection, can be used interchangeably with thermal infrared cameras to work at night and also majorly boosts the effectiveness of radar allowing you to track fighters much more effectively through clouds and over the horizon. This technique will also always eventually give the exact location of the target even if the image is blurry as those blurs will always average out from the different perspectives into revealing the precise location of the target in the voxel grid. There is definitely a Mandela effect with this technique as it feels as though it should already exist, especially because at first as it sounds like it is performing triangulation (which has existed for years and is what we do for mocap and tennis ball tracking). But triangulation is entirely separate to this as triangulations only works if you have already identified where the ball is in a 2D image because you’re able to rely on being able to use at least 2 separate high quality cameras which are much closer to the ball making the ball’s apparent size much much bigger and therefore gives you hundreds of pixels to work with which makes it much easier to use object recognition techniques to recognize where it is in the image aka in 2D and then you’re just using the other cameras view to project out lines which intersect in 3D to find out where the ball is in 3D. The major difference is that pixel motion to voxel projection allows you to find where the object is in 3D without having already found it in 2D which is an unbelievable difference as it allows you to use much lower quality cameras together to accumulate data together into 3D space. If this seem like it doesn’t mean much then what it actually means is that you don’t understand what I’m saying as what I’m saying means a LOT in practical terms as it means you go from having to use an imaging system that has to be able to image the object to the point that it is over a hundred total pixels in surface area to have enough data to recognize it to instead be able to use something that is only images the object to be 1 pixel in surface area and only changes the brightness value by 1 value every now and then. I’d recommend an amazing video by DST studios called “Lowlight cameras can’t defeat stealth” if you want a great video which goes over the difficulty of even using telescopes to recognize stealth fighters and why this is so impressive compared to other techniques and ironically it is what inspired me to realize the asteroid tracker I was working on actually could do this. Which brings me to the point that if this wasn’t a new technique then not only would there be at least one example of an asteroid survey that points distant telescopes at the same place at the same time in order to be able to add the light together to detect asteroids which as I was shocked to learn isn’t a thing despite the fact that it would make detecting asteroids trivial by comparison to modern 2D imaging while also having no impact on the normal scientific operations of those surveys other than small changes to scheduling. But there would also be an example of a drone tracker that uses this instead of using the aforementioned high quality zoomable telescope which has to be able to zoom in close enough to be able to recognize a drone. If you want to tell me that this is something that already exists give me an exact example of a product that uses it, not the general outline of a concept that you think it is, the actual product and then also tell me the asteroid survey that uses distant telescopes that point at the exact same place at the exact same time because I can guarantee that if you google what you think uses this you won’t even find the steps of subtracting the images from each other to get motion and will definitely not get the added step of projecting that motion into a voxel grid (It would blow your mind if you found out how Xbox kinect cameras work.) Also I want to make it clear, I’m not saying you should just use web cams to do this, I’m just using them as an example to show you the power of this in reality you would probably want to use 5 high quality zoomable thermal cameras which pan across the sky in sync with each other which due to using lower frequency are much less prone to the Rayleigh scattering that scatters visible light at 150 or so km away and again, you can also use this to majorly upgrade radar. Pretty much all of the problems you could think of for this are incredibly easy to overcome if you apply even a small amount of brainpower into fixing the problem. And yes, this gives you the exact location down to the meter of whatever you are tracking even if the image is blurry as those blurs will always average out to the exact location down to the meter in the voxel grid. Which is what makes this technique so powerful since the cost of adding each camera to The network grows linearly while the rate at which each camera gives more information grows exponentially due to the increasing unlikeliness of all of them having more movement in the same place. And given the size of the cameras it really wouldn’t be that hard to hide and network these cameras together in other countries and on sea buoys to know where planes are everywhere in the world. Which brings me to the point that I personally really don’t care about the military uses of this technology, if all it could do is precisely track stealth fighters then I wouldn’t have cared enough to work on it, I could have used any of the many other life saving techniques as the subject of the video, stealth fighters just sounds the most clickable and the scale of the problem is more intuitive to most people and if I did use any of those as subjects for the demo it would inevitably result in the stealth fighter technique being figured out anyway and all of the other uses are so useful that I don't think anyone would reasonably complain about the upside. The real purpose of this video is that since this is a new technique that hasn’t been used to detect stealth fighters despite the billions we have spent on that, then what else can you apply this to that could go on to improve billions of people’s lives that you or others are working on. For example this also allows you to majorly improve the effectiveness of cryo electron microscopy and CT scanners. This part also is kind of hard to explain as it also sounds like it exists but again, when you look through all of the places where you think it is being used you will find that it wasn’t. What I’m saying here isn’t that this is a Radon transform or gaussian splat or whatever, I’m saying that this is able to get new information that wasn’t being accessed before due to the added information about depth you get from the correlation of movement between each perspective which adds to the information that you already have. This allows you to directly subtract foreground and background objects as well as noise faster than you would be able to before and works better than super resolution for your images since super resolution won’t remove foreground and background objects like this does and instead just scales up target, foreground and background objects indiscriminately. And while with enough data Radon transforms or other scanning techniques would eventually get you a correct answer this will get you there a lot faster since those are mostly averaging techniques which average out noise whereas this gets you the ability to directly subtract noise. I’m not expecting you to think that this would do anything but if you try it for yourself you will find that it does majorly improve your ability to perform 3d scans. Again, cryo EM is a field where you would expect this technique to exist but when you look through all the papers on the topic there is no mention of tilting the grid slightly in order to be able to change your perspective slightly on the order of the feature size (if you tilt the grid then you only need precision on the order of an arc minute to do this) and doing multiple exposures from multiple different known tilts and then using those difference images to correlate depth from motion. In fact, in cryo EM you would normally want to do the opposite of this and have your exposures all taken from the same grid angle and just use the variations in how many of the same proteins are oriented in order to be able to scan them for a 3D model but this will generate you far more data faster. There is so much information that I can’t really explain in text so if you have any questions such as why this hasn’t been made before then they will most likely be answered in the video I originally posted which I have added to the end of the first Devlog for your convenience. And again, pretty much all of the problems with the technique can be fixed with a little bit of brainpower, in reality you would probably want to use 5 high quality zoomable thermal cameras which pan across the sky in sync with each other which due to using lower frequency are much less prone to the Rayleigh scattering that scatters visible light at 150 or so km away and again, you can also use this to majorly upgrade radar.

And while with enough data Radon transforms or other scanning techniques would eventually get you a correct answer this will get you there a lot faster since those are mostly averaging techniques which average out noise whereas this gets you the ability to directly subtract noise. I’m not expecting you to think that this would do anything but if you try it for yourself you will find that it does majorly improve your ability to perform 3d scans. Again, cryo EM is a field where you would expect this technique to exist but when you look through all the papers on the topic there is no mention of tilting the grid slightly in order to be able to change your perspective slightly on the order of the feature size (if you tilt the grid then you only need precision on the order of an arc minute to do this) and doing multiple exposures from multiple different known tilts and then using those difference images to correlate depth from motion. In fact, in cryo EM you would normally want to do the opposite of this and have your exposures all taken from the same grid angle and just use the variations in how many of the same proteins are oriented in order to be able to scan them for a 3D model but this will generate you far more data faster. There is so much information that I can’t really explain in text so if you have any questions such as why this hasn’t been made before then they will most likely be answered in the video I originally posted which I have added to the end of the first Devlog for your convenience. And again, pretty much all of the problems with the technique can be fixed with a little bit of brainpower, in reality you would probably want to use 5 high quality zoomable thermal cameras which pan across the sky in sync with each other which due to using lower frequency are much less prone to the Rayleigh scattering that scatters visible light at 150 or so km away and again, you can also use this to majorly upgrade radar.

Analyzing Episode 58. Season 2 aka Balancing the Scales This episode was some of Sinem and Ozan's best work. Their expressions landed every single time, and, frankly, short of screaming what the story is trying to say, they did everything they could to convince the audience that CihAl was, is, and will remain the endgame. With that out of the way, let's begin. We start the episode with Cihan shitting literal bricks as he sees Alya is already at the konak with Sadakat and Meryem arriving, right behind him. The reason is clear - he's caught in a difficult situation yet again. He doesn't want things to look like he's overriding Alya's existence in his life as its core, but circumstances keep making it so that he's put in awkward situations, which only compound his fear of pushing Alya past the point of no return. Meryem is all smiles and teeth at seeing the konak, but the minute her eyes land on Alya, her smile and her eyes drop to the floor. Almost like she was expecting something else entirely, but reality has shamed her. Her eyes remain downcast throughout the entire time she's walking towards Alya, as if Alya's the truth she can't cross eyes with. Alya, on the other hand, remains standing tall. She doesn't flinch, doesn't express any outward anger, but you can see the storm raging in her eyes. When Cihan tells her Meryem will have to stay at the konak, she merely looks at him and nods. And you can see terror mixed with shame (I think) on Cihan's face, but hers remains clear of emotion. And then she walks away, saying she needs to collect Deniz because she's tired. Now that's an exit. Poised, calm, and leaving behind an absolute massacre in the onlookers. The scene where Deniz meets Meryem is another masterpiece because it's very subtle in the message it delivers. Which is - human relations go beyond blood, beyond memory, beyond societal impediments, if the love on both sides is strong enough. When Deniz says he's named after his father, the little boy is telling the truth. Cihan may not be his father in blood, but he's the father Deniz loves, the father he chose for himself. Then the same message is repeated through Deniz about CihAl when Sadakat tries to create trouble by saying Alya and Cihan are divorced. To which Deniz innocently replies, they may be divorced now, but they can get married again. Again, highlighting the importance of human connection. CihAl keep choosing each other through whatever challenge life throws at them, because they love each other equally. Yes, marriages and divorce can be forced, but it's the presence or absence of love that determines the final outcome. Case in point, Alya's marriage to Boran, Cihan's marriage to Seyda, Nare with Ozkan, Zerrin and Demir, etc., etc. That's what anyone opposing CihAl doesn't understand. Love finds a way. Always. That's what the story has been about since the beginning - that love will stand strong in front of all, as long as what you feel is truly love, and not some imitation of it. Also, *hint* *hint* that's the second time someone has mentioned CihAl getting married again, so it's definitely coming. Now for the scene where Cihan and Alya talk in their room. Cihan is right to be afraid of Alya here because he's a first-hand witness to how Alya reacts when she's been betrayed. He's seen how she took off Boran's ring and buried it with him after she found out about the will. An extreme situation compared to this one, absolutely. But fears don't use logic. Cihan knows Alya is strong enough to move on, to rise from the ashes - her strength is what he loves and fears at the same time. So, when he says 'Think of the Cihan in Alya's eyes, I don't want to be that Cihan' he's saying I know it looks like I disregarded you and broke your trust again, but that's not how things were. He needs her to show emotions, not because it'll pander to his ego, but because that's a sign she's still involved. That she's not near the point where she says 'enough is enough.' Alya, on the flip side, can't show her emotions. Because, unlike what Cihan fears, it's because she's so in love with him, so involved, that she's afraid to even ask what Cihan feels. Because if she learns Cihan's past isn't just the past, that he still loves Meryem, it'll shatter her unlike anything else. Despite it all, Cihan manages to reach Alya somehow when he pleads, 'I need you to communicate with me.' It's like his fears break past her barriers and, in turn, allow her to open up a little to him because she admits she doesn't know what to do, and then out comes the real question, 'Don't you feel anything?' Kudos to Cihan for not dodging the question and saying whatever he feels for her is just memory and gratitude. Salak. And I say salak with all my love, because he still misses the elephant in the room. The point is the imbalance. When we tell someone they're the only love of our life, we want an equal declaration in return. If not, the loop remains incomplete - with one side a little more invested than the other. And, CihAl's story thus far has been the opposite of imbalance. Their story is about symmetry; they reflect each other in love, in wounds, in loss. Basically everything. So, how is it that Alya's only love is Cihan, while his isn't? It's not. And that's where that necklace reveal becomes important, but we'll get to that later. For now, let's talk about that little talk in the car. The story itself is giving us hints that this imbalance won't last long, because the minute Alya talks about her first brush with romance is the moment jealous Cihan makes a return. He gets jealous of a nameless, formless, 16-year-old boy who once had the audacity to date his wife. That is, he can't tolerate a contender for Alya's affections even in memory. Cihan is extremely possessive about Alya, which is why he doesn't waste a moment to remind her she told him he's her only love. And Alya, being Alya, doesn't waste a moment in reminding him that he didn't. And then she turns the screw a little by telling Cihan not to burn his heart over her teenage crush because she never planned to marry her crush, nor is she conveniently living under the same roof with him. Mic drop. Cihan's face at that moment is a study in being hoist by one's own petard. Because he's expecting Alya to be okay with something he can't even stand the idea of. He's jealous as hell, but he can't do anything about it. But why is all this happening? Because one of Cihan's biggest truths is - he loved Meryem and lost her. In truth, he didn't love her, which is why he didn't fight hard enough, which is why he lost her. If Cihan had truly loved Meryem the way he loves Alya, he would have fought until the bitter end. Like he's doing for Alya. That's the truth. In Uzak, true love isn't passive - it demands to be seen, to be felt, it doesn't sit back quietly and accept defeat. In this story, love demands to be chosen. And Cihan didn't choose Meryem, not in the way it matters. So, why can't Cihan just accept the truth already? Fear and guilt, I think. Fear of the magnitude of what he feels for Alya, and what losing her would do to him. And guilt because some part of him knows he didn't do for Meryem what he's doing for Alya. And of course, now there's the burden of her shitty ex, too. Nonetheless, fate keeps pushing Cihan to realize the truth, over and over again in this episode. Another glimpse of how passive Cihan may have been in his relationship with Meryem is the dinner scene. Sadakat points out how much Meryem loved stuffed kebabs, and Cihan is barely listening. This is the same man who knows what Alya likes to eat when she's on break during duty. When Meryem points out Cihan's allergy, he says it was something he had in the past, but no longer. Almost like he's comparing the feelings he once had for her to an allergy. What an allegory. See? The signs are all there, but Cihan isn't picking up on them completely. Then fate ups the ante with the arrival of Chef Engin. The first thing Cihan asks Alya when Engin is gone is - Is that him? As in, is that the boy you said loved you? The man goes off the rails in 0 to 60 seconds, and keeps coming up with excuses like he may have changed his name or appearance. The idea of not being the only man in Alya's life makes him lose his cool while Alya rightly points out that she's not the one living with her 'first love' currently. Which then leads to Cihan spending the night at the office. So, fate manages to teach him one lesson here. Which is - ask only for that which you're ready to give. Cihan needs emotional exclusivity from Alya, but hasn't given her the same yet. He's not built to share Alya, not with the past, not with a memory, not with anything. But the second he feels even a fraction of what Alya's been going through, he unravels marvelously. And that's the entire point of that sequence. It's not just jealous drama, it's exposure. Cihan is slowly being led towards the one truth staring him in the face. That's where the necklace comes in. Thus far, Ciho seems to be operating under the misconception that Meryem has moved on, like him. But that necklace (and the video) prove otherwise. Meryem's current attachment to him throws neutrality out the window. Because Cihan will now have to set absolute boundaries, and in doing so, understand why he's setting them. Why what he feels for Alya leaves no room for anyone else because he can't stand the idea of something similar in Alya's past, present, or future.
