Hate speech has exploded on Twitter in the last year, and as the company has fired both content moderators and security experts, user data is also deeply at risk. I asked @linakhanFTC to address this, along with the efforts the FTC is making to hold Twitter accountable:

@RepAdamSchiff @linakhanFTC Designating anything you disagree with as “hate speech” is nonsense and elementary. BUT that is expected from your ilk

@RepAdamSchiff @linakhanFTC What you meant to say is the hate speech towards you has increased significantly due to all the lies you told to the American people. Please don’t expect it to end anytime soon.

@RepAdamSchiff @linakhanFTC In other words you’re crying because Americans can freely bash you for the treasonous lies you told us for years and continue to tell us daily 👌🏼 FAS🫵🏼

@RepAdamSchiff @linakhanFTC You're such a disgrace to America.

@RepAdamSchiff @linakhanFTC We just hate to hear lies from your speech is all.

@RepAdamSchiff @linakhanFTC Hate speech is free speech.

@RepAdamSchiff @linakhanFTC

@RepAdamSchiff @linakhanFTC Where would the outright lies you told for 7 years rank on the FTC’s radar?

@RepAdamSchiff @linakhanFTC Adam Schiff hates free speech.

When you define "hate" speech as speech that contradicts your narrative, I suppose that would make sense. But to paraphrase Thomas Sowell, when you have to play on a level field and no longer get to ban people who disagree with you, it feels like discrimination. But it is not. You are the hater-in-chief.
