There's a clear reason why contemporary 'comedy' is as funny as a bed of nettles soaked in piss... our cultural demise. And why isn't anyone asking the Agents why they aren't doing anything about it. They're part of the gatekeepers. Why are they helping to erase comedy? Why do they prefer agenda to creativity? Have they been collecting government grants to do so? In every walk of life comedy and creativity is being suffocated. The very things that make us tick. The very things that help us to become successful in all walks of life.

Almost every work or school environment I was ever in was so exactly like this that it's as if they were trained at your seminar. I note the almost complete lack of humor in your audience--I think that means you were speaking to exactly the people who needed to hear this. I doubt it did much good, though.

Since you might be staring into the "twilight" I suggest you give politics a shot. I think you can make a difference, or at least point out the stupidity, from the inside. e.g.

The first few places I worked at were like this, when I then changed and saw that it didn't have to be that way it was unreal, staff worked all kinds of extra hours simply because they enjoyed being at work and were always invested in finding ways to make everything work better. Unfortunately it was very successful and then bought out, the new owners didn't like such things and stamped their authority on it, so everyone that made it what it was left, and I've never found a place like it since.

50 years ago, and still businesses are running useless, bloody meetings (spoken from 2026 experience).
