A better way to use Cursor: I call it "Pilot" mode - Use "Ask" to request a feature or report a bug. - Then click "Apply" to update your files. This method is faster because Cursor doesn’t need to apply diffs against the code. Plus, if you include the project tree, you’ll get even quicker results. (Check out how to do project tree in the comment)

Write 100x better code using AI (for free!) Install the Codacy extension (VSCode, Cursor, WindSurf). This will install an MCP Server locally on your computer. Your coding copilot will use this server with the Codacy CLI to check every line of code it generates. The way this works is pretty awesome (assuming you are using Cursor): 1. You ask Cursor to generate some code 2. Cursor writes the code 3. Cursor then calls Codacy's MCP Server to check it 4. The MCP Server will use the Codacy CLI to find any issues 5. Cursor will fix the issues and call the MCP server again 6. When the code passes all checks, you are done Level of effort on your side: literally zero! Code quality and security because of this: 100x better! Codacy has been doing this for a long, long time, and their Guardrails MCP Server checks for a lot of potential issues: • Security issues • Quality standards • Pattern violations • Linting issues You can see more information about the extension here: I recorded a quick video to show you how it works. Instructions for syncing Replit with Cursor This looks like a lot but it takes 3 minutes once you get it down. HUGE shout out to @anshnanda_ for showing me how to do this. Open Repl or Create with our Template Go to Cursor - Click Terminal - Click CMD K - Type "Generate an SSH Key For Replit, name it Replit, and copy the public key to the clipboard" - if prompted to overwrite put "y", then enter - it'll prompt about passphrase, just press enter - it'll prompt about passphrase again, just press enter - this automatically copies the ssh key to clipboard Go to Replit - plus sign (new tab) and type SSH - go to SSH panel - Click Keys - Add SSH Key - Give it Label (doesn't matter what you call it) - Paste in that code from cursor that was automatically added to your clipboard in previous process. Should be a fat chunk of text. (If its smaller, you didn't specify the public key) - Go to connect tab in same panel - Copy the Shell command Go Back to Cursor - Open with SSH - Paste that shell command on top - Click Add new SSH Host - Paste the command again - Enter - Click the first option that pops up - Bottom Right of screen click connect - Click Continue - Open Folder - Click name of Replit Project (Repl) If you are using the template just set up firebase as I do quickly and you are set up with database authentication and storage.
