SONYA: These days, I’m also waiting for good opportunities from all the people in the industry. But it’s okay. We’ve gotten to meet so many fans this year. I’d say that’s already very much a complete goal that I had set for myself this year. Thank you for every opportunity that has come our way, because we’re working really, really hard. Because I honestly don’t know… Over the past several days, I’ve also come across some things. Um… and they were negative, though. They weren’t from you guys, Phi Phi okay? They were negative comments, like, “Lookmhee and Sonya don’t have any work that’s… international,” or, what do you call it, work that’s worldwide, like other people have, something along those lines. But Sonya also understands the context of everything. I feel like everything depends on our opportunities and our timing too. Sometimes something might not happen today, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen in the future. Because these days, we’re working really hard, and we really enjoy getting to meet so many fans. 🧸 when we first debuted, the company really wanted to push a "prince" image for us. because of that, they wouldn't let me do things like aegyo when we went on variety shows. 🧸 even though i just wanted to give hearts or do a little aegyo for our fans, they intentionally made us avoid those things. 🧸 i couldn't even make heart gestures. the company banned it, so one time i went on a show and i did some aegyo right before the show ended without them knowing 🧸 but i got caught doing that. the company found out and i actually got in trouble for it 🧸 if i tried too hard to be funny or cute, they would just edit all of it out of the broadcast. i really hated to see us getting a reputation as "boring" group right from the start 🧸 because of that, there was this live streaming platform we used at the time. we all just said “hey, this is live, so the company can't stop us" 🧸 and we decided to just do whatever we wanted, and from that point on, it wasn't really that the company changed their minds, it was more like they just gave up on us.

FNC Boaster: “These events are, as you can probably imagine, quite tiring. We go from the upper bracket into three games in a row for the final days. That, on top of lots of media, lots of features, lots of just random stuff that we do. Not to mention the fact that when we go into our games, there’s a lot of adrenaline. After every game, my body aches and my head hurts, and then we have to somehow get to sleep, and then we’ve got to wake up early and stuff. So there’s loads of factors into this. It’s not just simply, you go in and you play. And I think we started slow today, especially on Corrode and Lotus. A big map was Lotus for us, and we weren’t able to, just everything wasn’t going our way. The Odin was completely annihilating us. Then when we got to Abyss, we were like, ‘This is the last chance.’ And I felt very confident that we could win this one, because I felt like I knew everything they did on the attack side. And then, what were we like 1–11 down or something? I was like, ‘Oh bloody hell, this one’s going to be a tough one, isn’t it?’ We managed to do it, and then I was like, ‘Holy guacamole, the dream is alive!’ And it felt amazing, hearing the crowd and being able to just do that, because it would’ve been so disappointing of a final to just bomb out there. But in the FNATIC way, we fight back. Ascent, we’re starting to feel the kind of momentum. And then it gets to Sunset, a map that was the one kind of perma-ban we had, but we had some stuff on it. Unfortunately, it was just the crucial map for us to get the win, and some of the rounds just didn’t go our way, and that’s how VALORANT goes, you know. It felt like the rounds that we needed to win, we lost, and then they had an ultimate the next round, and that’s how brutal it is on defense. If we had just been able to win one of those rounds, like the bonus round, holy guacamole, we would’ve been loving life. And it was the difference of like a 1v1 in the end. So yeah, I mean, we tried our best. That’s why I’m not that [sad]. I am sad, obviously, but I’m not like how I was in Toronto, because I felt like we pushed, we tried our best, and I’m very happy with the boys. So Istanbul, LA, and Seoul, and I stayed till the end just so I could watch the person lift the trophy that I want to lift the most. And that’s kind of what kept the hunger going and my drive going because a lot of players could simply just kind of ease out. But I just wanted to get one more big win with the boys, and I think this year has been an amazing year. A lot of grand finals, and we didn’t manage to get the trophy in the international event. So for me, it’s just that there is a trophy on the line, but at the same time, it’s been a lot of fun. And I think the times where we just enjoy it, and this game happened today, where we’re just dancing around having fun, just goes to show how much pressure and stress it takes off us. Me and my mates caused this: We turned up at their wedding uninvited and started fighting with the guests and they had the cheek to tell us to leave because we were ruining their wedding when it was only a few of us and not everyone. Then they tried to lock the doors. But we held them open while more came in. We didn’t like the music either so we made the DJ to swerve the Motown and play some techno to suit us. It was an all inclusive bar and a free buffet so we stayed to the end even though we didn’t like it there. I just wanted to call the family out and tell you all how intolerant they were to us. I’ve never been made to feel so unwelcome. We had just as much of a right to be there as anyone else. It was a public building. They don’t own it. I’m sure you will all agree that the family were bang out of order. We only ruined their wedding the crying cnts. Horrible people.

So as a society it becomes very clear that knowledge leads directly to wealth creation for everybody. For example, in energy we’ve gone from wood to coal to oil to nuclear. But then people say, “Now we’re out of ideas. Now we’re caught up. Now we’re done. There aren’t going to be new ideas, and now we have to freeze the frame and conserve what we have.” The counter to that is, “No, we’ll create new knowledge and have new resources. Don’t worry about the old ones.” Well they say, “If you’re going to have new resources, if you can’t think of them now, it’s not real.” This now gets into the realm of people demanding that if you’re going to claim that new knowledge will be created, you have to name that knowledge now. Otherwise it’s not real. But that seems like a Catch-22. David Deutsch: It does, and it’s a bad argument. I don’t want to claim that the knowledge will be created. We’re fallible; we may not create it. We may destroy ourselves. We may miss the solution that’s right under our nose, so that when the snailiens come from another galaxy and look at us, they’ll say, “How can it possibly be that they failed to do so-and-so when it was right in front of them?” That could happen. I can’t prove or argue that it won’t happen. What I always argue, though, is that we have what it takes. We have everything that it takes to achieve that. If we don’t, it’ll be because of bad choices we have made, not because of constraints imposed on us by the planet or the solar system. I think about places like North Korea where you can’t have elections and a revolution is very difficult because the gang in charge is armed to the teeth and they’ve destroyed the means of political error correction for a long time. That is a case where humanity is trapped in a local minimum, and it’s very hard to climb out of that hole. If too much of the world falls into that mindset, then we as a species may just stagnate because we’ve lost our biggest advantage. We’ve lost our biggest discovery, which was the ability to make new discoveries.

We’re pretty chill about it. We feel that a wedding is an important occasion, so we want to have it when we’re truly ready.
