@TravelTeslaDad @Tesla_AI Yes I had this issue once. I had to move my butt around for the sensor to detect me haha

@TravelTeslaDad @Tesla_AI Maybe we all have bad sensors 😆

@TeslaJoy @TravelTeslaDad @Tesla_AI I spammed clicked that button for 3 minutes straight then this popped up 😅. I had it “fixed” like a month ago at Tesla service. Let’s see what they say for round two lol.

@TeslaJoy @TravelTeslaDad @Tesla_AI That's a parts warranty free replacement

@Tesla_AI early version of v14 on ai4 had this problem too

@Tesla_AI Definitely seems like a bug

@Tesla_AI A lot of people are having that issue, seems like there a good amount of bugs with this release

@Tesla_AI He is also having this issue maybe reset the DAS?

@Tesla_AI Tried that. Still not working

@Tesla_AI Can confirm I also experienced this issue.

@Tesla_AI Has this exact same issues fixed today(Service). It is the driver seat occupancy sensor. I knew it was bad a couple of months ago. Its not going to show any errors. But everytime you open and close the door the car will go to sleep, its never detecting someone in the driver seat.

@Tesla_AI Sounds likely. Will have service check it out and report back. Thanks

@Tesla_AI Do this test, Go to your car. Sit on the driver seat and close the door(dont touch the screen or put your feet on the brake pedal). If the Screen turns off that is a clear indication that the sensor is not working.

@Tesla_AI Does exactly that. It has been doing this for a while but I’ve just gotten use to it

@Tesla_AI Yep, you are exactly in my situation 🤣. I got used to it, but V14Lite was the last drop. It was a quick fix on the service center.

@Tesla_AI In the comments @99brownKb helped me fix mine.

@Tesla_AI @99brownKb Thanks but didn’t help :(

@Tesla_AI @99brownKb Dang I did have to try it 3 times it was failing a lot.

@Tesla_AI Your occupancy sensor is not working

@Tesla_AI Not seeing anything in service alerts

@Tesla_AI I found that if I unbuckle and rebuckle the seat belt, it seems to help. Obviously a bug that needs to be fixed.

@Tesla_AI Yea same I have to put in drive or reverse and it lights up

@Tesla_AI Yep. Mine didn't detect me, but as soon as my wife tried, it worked for her. That's fine, I'll keep driving my 2026. 😁

@Tesla_AI I wish they would just disable the occupancy sensor entirely and just perform check the cabin camera on entry and then just lock in occupancy data for the rest of the drive @Tesla_AI

@Tesla_AI You gotta eat more, to weigh more, I guess.

@Tesla_AI The more I eat, the more weight I lose

@Tesla_AI It’s a bug I just use the stalk like a normal person

@Tesla_AI Yep, I was having the same issue as well. Seems to be a known bug.

@Tesla_AI This happens EVERY time. Take several extra seconds for me to get detected. 195lb. Fix it

@Tesla_AI This is happening to me too, I figured it was related to the cabin camera not being able to see in the dark. I have yet to try during daylight

@Tesla_AI at least u have v14 lite. we don't even have that.

@Tesla_AI @Brand0n @grok told me it’s $400-$1000 to replace the $20 seat occupancy sensor. It’s a whole process I don’t have the time do myself. 😢 Only our ‘21 Y has the problem. I first noticed it, verified in service mode, trying to move around our driveway without a seatbelt.

@Tesla_AI Service. Has this issue. Something with the cabin radar or whatever.

@Tesla_AI Put on some weight, buddy

@Tesla_AI Every single time I get into the car after letting it sit, it has taken 2-3 minutes for that button to illuminate after I’ve buckled up and I put destination. It’s a bug

@Tesla_AI Any occupancy sensor faults?

@Tesla_AI Not seeing any

@Tesla_AI sit harder!

@Tesla_AI Mine does this to me as well. I have to just sit in the car for about 3 minutes each time I want to drive for the button to activate and eventually it enables

@Tesla_AI I've had this, usually it just starts working after a bit for me though.

@Tesla_AI Were you wearing sunglasses when you got in the car?

@Tesla_AI Did you just summon it? There’s a known bug where FSD wont activate if your Smart Summon screen on your phone app is still active.

@Tesla_AI Nope have not tried summon yet. I just went out for a night drive and still could not start from park

@Tesla_AI That’s an interesting bug. 😅 Hopefully it’s just an early v14 Lite issue that can be fixed quickly with a software update. Have you seen it happen more than once?

@Tesla_AI This happened to me too! Only for like 30 seconds though

@Tesla_AI I just rebuckle my seat 3 or 4 times and it finally pops up

@Tesla_AI rest computer hold both scroll buttons till you see the Tesla logo

@Tesla_AI Same. Seems like a bug. Shift the car into reverse yourself or drive and it should enable it

@Tesla_AI Does the stalk work while driving?

@Tesla_AI This was fixed in the second release of V14 Lite, but it is back in the wide release version.
