When you press “Start Self-Driving button while the garage door is closed, FSD v14.1.7 will still start reversing. Before pressing that button, make sure your garage door is open.

My CT hit a stationary guard wall on v13, and I’d bet that if you didn’t hit the brakes, it would’ve collided with your garage door. I’m v14, the CT would auto shift into gear going towards a closed white garage door. I’m guessing it doesn’t realize what a close up garage door looks like when you first initiate the system.

Yeah I tested this in hopes it would use my MyQ app to open the door… would be cool if either @Tesla_AI or @myQConnect could work together to make this a reality!

fsd needs to talk to myq. so car knows u are in garage opens garage door for u then back out. then close garage door for u.

Yep. And it surges so you have to react fast. My car didn’t attempt to use Homelink to open it first. Hopefully that’s coming @aelluswamy ?

I think I’ve decided I’m just going to back out on my own. Between this and the mirror being an inch away from the side of my garage it’s just and accident waiting to happen? I can hit the button once I’m in my driveway for now.

It could probably dodge a missile strike but if its owner forgets to open the door its gonna crash. Simple things will get tech every time.

I haven’t tried backing out of my garage on FSD. Just my driveway. Cybertruck in my garage is a very tight fit.

Hey I tried this as well. I back into my garage. So when I activated it pulled forward then stopped before hitting. I was hoping it would open the garage but it never happened. Back in the day with summon this was an option. Maybe they can integrate with FSD at home.
