💔💔COBB COUNTY, GA💔💔💔 FROM FB: Today, while volunteering at the shelter and walking my row of dogs, I noticed a different dog in another row sitting quietly in the corner of her kennel… shaking and trying to make herself as small as possible. I looked at her kennel card and learned her name was Hazel and she had just been surrendered yesterday . 😭💔 I decided to go sit with her, hoping I could make her day just a little bit better. Little did I know… she would be the one making mine.🥹 Hazel was terrified and unsure of everyone around her. But little by little, she found the courage to take one step… then another… until she came over, kissed my face, and reminded me just how sweet she truly is. I later learned that Hazel was surrendered because the family cat repeatedly attacked her. 🥺 And through no fault of her own, she lost the only home she knew. Hazel is only 2 years old. She’s dog-friendly, good with kids, housebroken, and crate-trained. She has so much love to give, yet tonight she’s sleeping in a shelter kennel instead of a home. I spent a long time with her today, holding her close and reminding her that she is a good girl… that she is loved, that she is seen, and that someone still cares about her. Before I closed her kennel door, I made Hazel a promise.. I promised her I would share her story with the world. And I told her that I have an incredible village of people who always show up when a dog needs them most. Now I’m asking that village for one more favor. While national home prices have not fallen significantly, Melody believes the market is effectively frozen and could be headed for a correction that ultimately exceeds the Global Financial Crisis in both depth and duration. * The core issue isn't supply—it's demand. There simply aren't enough qualified buyers. The spring selling season, normally the strongest period for home sales, was a major disappointment. Lower mortgage rates early in the year briefly created optimism, but geopolitical uncertainty quickly reversed that momentum. As a result, housing activity remains sluggish. * The buyers who are still transacting fall into two main groups: affluent households purchasing higher-end homes and buyers using government-backed financing programs such as FHA, Fannie Mae, or Freddie Mac. Outside those segments, affordability has become a major obstacle, leaving much of the market without sufficient demand. * The market is also becoming increasingly bifurcated. Democrats have a lot of strong contenders for 2028 — including my governor, Gavin Newsom, whom I love, trust, and respect. Having known him for decades, I can tell you: Gavin would make a formidable candidate and a fantastic president. Also, Governors Shapiro, Pritzker, Bashear, and Whitmer are beyond impressive — and they are generating a lot of well-deserved buzz. All of these great leaders — and more — have earned a close look and a fair shot. BUT DO NOT SLEEP ON MARYLAND’S GOVERNOR — WES MOORE. If we mainly need to win back working-class voters (especially YOUNG MEN) for Team Blue while keeping the respect and support of women of all colors, Wes Moore may be the answer for Democrats. First of all, he has a military background — with the military bearing to prove it. In other words, he is fit as hell. He works out with pro football players. He could go toe-to-toe with The Rock in an arm-wrestling contest. Image matters — especially for the non-college men whom we can no longer concede in such overwhelming numbers. Substantively, as governor, he’s been a bridge builder and a problem solver. He handled his state’s catastrophic bridge collapse in a way that drew applause across the aisle. He united Republicans and Democrats to pass legislation to help ALL poor kids — whether they are in blue cities or red rural areas. He’s a LEADER who can handle immediate crises AND chronic, seemingly intractable problems at the same time. Also — he is just a good guy. He is a rock-solid husband and father. He’s a man of deep faith — and deeper compassion. He’s a brother you would be lucky to call your neighbor — and proud to call your friend. Trump and Elon are acting like supervillains. Maybe Democrats should nominate a guy who looks and acts like a superhero! His 2028 slogan could be: “America deserves Moore.” And if you have never heard of Wes Moore, YOU’RE WELCOME. Remember the name. Who do you think should be the next Democratic nominee?

A wake up call for everyone who still dismisses AOC as a serious 2028 contender. She just got a boost from 3 key far left voices: Hasan Piker: “She’s great…I think she can do it.” DSA co-chair Megan Romer: “There’s a lot of enthusiasm for AOC.” Zohran Mamdani: “The congresswoman would be viable no matter what decision she makes.” Don’t forget the July Granite State Poll of New Hampshire voters: AOC came on top of a crowded field. The candidate who should be embarrassed is Gavin Newsom: running hard for months and stuck in 4th place at single digits, 8%. And to the “too progressive to win” crowd: even if Democrats ultimately pick someone more centrist—Newsom, Shapiro, Beshear, etc—they will want a woman on the ticket, and they will want to keep their progressive base energized for the election. A strong AOC primary showing could put her a heartbeat away regardless of who’s on top.
