He got away with a terrible decision

Yeah man. Let’s kick a field goal on the one when you get the ball back at halftime regardless… Play call was bad, but you go for it 99/100 times there. Don’t be an idiot.

The whole game would have been different. What the fuck are you talking about?

Total idiotic take. Going for it there was 100% the correct call. The play call was horrendous and that’s on Arthur Smith not Tomlin.

Why are you, after mentioning that you watched an XP and FG get missed, operating under the assumption that Boswell would simply make the FG at the end of the first half? You don’t just push a button and get gifted three points. He could have missed. And then your narrative goes to shit. Stop assuming FGs are free points in the same game where the same player missed an XP.

I hear you, but you can’t predict what happens after each score or non score

You have no idea how the rest of the game plays. Decisions change because of that.

Disagree. Tomlin made the right call, but the play call was god awful. Also, Rodgers needs to check out of that when he saw the ravens had bodies on the left side ready for it.

Don’t act like everyone and their mother weren’t saying “you have to go for it here” It’s always easy to look in hindsight and do revisionist history on it and say “wow they should have done so and so” It didn’t pan out and he rallied to still get his team the win

If Tomlin kicks the field goal before half: “Why is Mike Tomlin still stuck in this old school mindset & doesn’t go for the touchdown???”

If the Steeles kick that FG and are up by five before the final drive, the Ravens don’t try for just the FG try. Baltimore goes for and likely gets the winning TD.

Aren't you assuming everything else plays out the same when you say this tho?? Butterfly effect

wow seriously? so you honestly think the 2nd 1/2 would've played out the exact same? Lol

It’s irrelevant cause sports are rigged, but just to be clear if they would’ve kicked the field goal before halftime the script in the 2nd half would’ve been altered, and hypothetically if sports were real the playcalling in the 2nd half would’ve altered so either way you’re wrong. That decision had nothing to do with it.

This guy talking about “what-if” is hilarious 😆

If they kicked the field goal, the game doesn’t play out exactly the way it did Again, all that matters is the final score

You can’t claim that the second half plays out exactly the way it did had Pittsburgh kicked the field goal at the end of the first half. those three points could change the way the teams played late in the second half. Also, what does making a decision regarding a field goal in the first half have to do with celebrating a win at the end of the game?

Wow, are you ever ridiculous It was objectively the correct call. It was the wrong play.

If you always take the points amd they had kicked that fg and a fg on the opening drive of the 3rd quarter, instead of going for it on 4th and 1, they would have had 1 less point than they had.

You’re right Trey but I didn’t hate the decision. Hated the play call.

It was the correct decision to go for it. Why are we doing this in the year 2026? (If you have issues with the play call I’m 100% with you)

Bro that is how football is. If someone didn’t get a holding call or a guy didn’t drop the ball or he decided to go for it instead or not. The game is an aggregate of plays and decisions and execution and lack of execution and calls. To isolate one or two plays is silly.

Wow, If you had a vagina, you'd still be at @ESPN

Mike Tomlin is a Fraud.

I just watched this and my first thought was fuck Wingo got old.

He does it often and did it in Detroit. Lazy take. Who gives a flying ____. Pound that chest and blow that kiss.

Two missed kicks in the final minute. I understand it’s a different pressure later in the game, but a close FG isn’t a gimme

You can’t predict how the game is gonna unfold. This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard you say.

Love ya Trey but going for the TD at the 1 yard line at end of 1st half was a no-brainer. Blame the play call and execution but not the decision to go for it. Can't live in your fears.

Don’t go for it at the 1 yard line down 7 sure man

you can't say that. if you change one play you change then entire future of the game. you have no idea what happens if you change one play

You CANNOT go back….you think that’s how the “butterfly effect” works? The decision to go for it wasn’t bad. It was the play call that was bad!

“If…” “My aunt had male parts she’d be my uncle”

Trey Wingo, don’t you understand that in football every subsequent play is dependent on the one before it? If they kick the field goal before the half that changes everything for the remainder of the game, the game doesn’t stay exactly the same

You’re absolutely right.

For anyone that says this, you’re so wrong. First off, you have no idea how any of the game would’ve played out. Secondly, you can’t blame a coach for attempting a TD at the 1 yard line over settling for a FG.
