About 99% certain that isn't a "malfunction". Using hand-loaded rounds with less powder to reduce/damper sound will cause the upper to not cycle completely. Sure does look like a professional hit. Look how calm he is....too calm to be an angry investor exacting revenge.

And of course, what she doesn’t mention is the fact that he didn’t have the gun any longer when officers shot and killed him. There’s no reason to fire defensive shots if the man is unarmed.
