Last night in Kawangware, I met this man whom I initially thought was a security guard. After speaking with him, I later came to learn that he is a Nigerian national currently living on the streets. Whenever I meet someone living on the streets, I always take time to engage with them, understand their story, and learn how they ended up there. My goal is always to see how best I can help them rebuild their lives. During our conversation, he shared that he came to Kenya after receiving a promise of sponsorship from his cousin to continue his education here. However, after only two weeks in the country, his cousin who had promised to support him left for the United States without enrolling him in school, leaving him stranded in Kenya. As we continued talking, he explained how he struggled to survive and eventually ended up living on the streets. He has now been on the streets for about two years. In one of the videos I recorded, a lady reached out to me and said she recognized him. According to her, they once lived in the same apartment building. She narrated how the man had been in a relationship with a lady who allegedly took everything he owned. This incident deeply affected him, pushing him into depression and eventually to the streets. The man also shared that at one point he worked in Dubai, where he used to send money back home to support his parents in Nigeria. However, when he later returned home, he claims he discovered that he had been deceived by the very people he trusted. He gave me his parents’ contact, although we were not able to fully hear their side of the story. Currently, his travel documents have expired, and he expressed that his biggest wish is to renew them so that he can return home to Nigeria and start life again. I offered to use my platform to help fundraise for the renewal of his documents, as he personally requested. He also asked if I could help him secure any form of work so that he could at least sustain himself as he waits to regularize his documents. However, after spending time with him and assessing his situation, it became clear to me that he urgently needs mental health support, as he appears to be struggling with depression. I therefore decided that the following morning I would take him to a private rehabilitation center where professionals could assess him and offer the help he needs. After we agreed on this plan, I took him to a hotel where he could spend the night safely. I paid for his room and food, intending to pick him up the following morning and take him for rehabilitation. Unfortunately, later in the morning I received a call from the hotel attendant informing me that although the man had slept well, he left the guest house very early in a hurry. Later reports indicated that he had been seen back on the streets. Since then, efforts to locate and rescue him have not been successful. I am informed that he rarely accepts help from people, which makes the situation even more challenging. If anyone happens to see or locate him, please kindly contact me through +254707946783 so that we can assist him, take him for rehabilitation, and help facilitate his return to his home country. I am also appealing to his fellow Nigerians living in Kenya, those back in Nigeria, and well-wishers both in Kenya and abroad come through for him and support the effort to give this man a second chance in life. today would have been Oliver Tree birthday . he brought me so much joy just to know a creator that loved and breathed his art 1000% every time I see him I felt like I wasn’t doing enough .. but it wasn’t just the work as a musician it was life . he lived it every moment to the fullest - he gave everything in his bones to making the world a better place with his music . a lot of people might have just been turned on to him that wasn’t familiar . and he would be so happy to see the impact he had .. at a great time with everyone looksmaxing, faking their way to the algorithm and making music for the money - he tried to steer humanity into a greater place where being the best version yourself is the greatest gift you can give... this is one of the demos we had - in retrospect it makes me cry to listen back to.. what a big heart this man had

He shared that life has really been tough he has been searching for a job for a long time without success. Two months ago, his house was locked, and since then, he has been sleeping on the streets. I wanted to help him pay the two months’ rent, but all he asked for was transport money to go back home to the village, where he at least has a place to stay and regroup. I listened and supported him with the fare so he can go home, plan afresh, and hopefully return to Nairobi or anywhere once an opportunity opens up. He is a chef and ready to work. An abandoned dog was wandering the streets, his fur covered in dirt, his body painfully thin, and his eyes filled with sadness. A kind woman found him and decided to rescue him. She reached out her hand toward him. But he didn’t understand that she was trying to help. To him, a hand reaching toward him could just as easily mean danger. She kept talking to him softly, trying to let him know that things were different this time. “I’m trying to help you.” Then she gave him his first bath. He would come out, but still kept his distance and wouldn’t let anyone touch him. Maybe he was trying to figure out whether these people were really different from everyone he had known before. On the fourth day, he appeared at the bedroom door. He was still scared, but this time, instead of turning away, he slowly walked closer. It was a very small step, but it meant so much. He was learning how to trust again. Not long after that, he climbed onto the bed for the first time. It was probably a place he had never imagined he would one day be allowed to sleep. He curled up and fell asleep. For the first time, he could rest somewhere without having to stay on guard. Then he started barking. It no longer sounded like the bark of a frightened dog. It was more like a dog who had just realized he was finally free to use his voice. His face began to change, too. There was a look of happiness in his eyes because, at last, this little dog had found a family who loved him.

As if one coach is the only responsible for his success and for who he is in every aspect. Meanwhile, this was Carlos at age 10 in Murcia. One can acknowledge the work of a coach and give him credit without diminishing the player, who is the one holding the racket and coming back in historic 5: 30 hours finals, as if he didn't exist or have anything to do with his own success or who he is. A world number one, the youngest in history, isn't solely the work of a coach. Is also the work of his family, all his team and people, but above all, it's HIS OWN WORK, his talent, his commitment to his dream, and his constant sacrifice since childhood. Even if every now and then he has the audacity to need to rest for a few days with his friends or family.

From an early age, he showed a remarkable talent for music. He would go on to become a priest, a composer, and one of the greatest collectors and preservers of Armenian folk music. He traveled across villages, listening to the songs of the people, writing them down, and arranging them so that they would never be lost. His work gave Armenia its musical soul and identity. But during the Armenian Genocide in 1915, he was arrested and witnessed unimaginable horrors. Though he survived, the trauma broke him. He spent the rest of his life in asylums, silent and tormented, until he passed away in 1935. Yet his music lives on! A testament to a culture that refused to be erased. Today, I was invited to Umm al-Khair to take part in the commemoration marking one year since the killing of peace activist Awdah Hathaleen. I was also given one of the greatest honors of my life: inaugurating the library established in his name and memory. If Awdah were alive, I’m sure he would still be standing with his people here in Umm al-Khair, with patience and infinite hope. He would probably be holding his three little children in his arms. He would still be smiling, and we would probably be dancing with him, even though the occupation tried to take that away from us. If Awdah were alive, this dark world would hold a little more light. But his light endures. He was, and always will be, a light for his family, for his community, and for our people, for the Palestinian people.

Today, this young man approached me and shared his story, hoping that I could help him find an opportunity. He is a person living with a disability and was born without both hands. Despite the challenges he faces, he has taught himself to repair phones and laptops. However, he does not have a shop and currently works mobile, moving from place to place to earn a living. He told me that he lives in Mukuru Kwa Reuben and does everything possible to take care of himself. He even cooks for himself and handles his daily basic chores independently. His biggest request is for an opportunity to work in his field or support to help him open his own repair shop. I asked Paul Pierce on if he reached out to Jayson Tatum at all since his return “This will be my first time today, seeing him saying something to him. So, you know the thing about, I know about guys when they get in a situation Jayson was in, you know, I had to be, I had a chance to be around Kevin [Garnett] when he was going through his injury and stuff. Sometimes you want to give people some space. I did. I reached out to him one time, I think, via text throughout the process. But, you know, I think it's a moment to where you want to put yourself in a place, to where you're isolated and you want to grind, you want to work to get back where you need to go. And I'm sure everybody was showing support, but I showed my support from far, and he knows I'm always there for him if he ever needed anything.”
