I did this in college, but I did it in 20 minute blocks. I think the key thing to take away here is, people always seem to remember the last thing they did more often than not. So if that last thing keeps coming up it will stick.

The problem is I will be at 30 second blocks of studying for a week

In college 3 main reasons ppl left: Partying Homesick Didn't know how to study I wasnt a great student but i attended a college prep high school & learned how to study. I was shocked when I read other's lecture notes, saw whole paragraphs highlighted & folks didn't outline

Where was he when I was in school!

@grok What is his name and what’s the title or link to the full video so I can watch it? What is his career or credentials?

The speaker is Dr. Anthony Sutton, MD, founder of MDI Prep, a medical education company. He graduated from UT Houston Medical School and focuses on motivational speaking and study strategies for pre-med/medical students instead of clinical practice. The clip is from one of his lectures on learning retention. A similar full version is on YouTube: For this exact topic, check TikTok:

@CarterMencke @paulmenckejr This is fantastic advice... I'm sure my time is 7 min. 😆

This works on the professional world as well. Especially if you’re multi disciplinary.

I love this and need to incorporate this into my life 🩶

I used this method and it helped so much but now with this twist I’ll be an academic weapon!

Great method! Both of my sons graduated in the top 10% of HS, took and passed AP exams, got to university and almost flunked out because of lack of study skills. In HS, it’s study for one chapter or concept, in college it’s study for 1/4 of a textbook. Big difference!

This isn't going to work for someone with ADHD like me who either has hyper focus for 15 hours straight or in 30 second bursts.

I wish i had this in nursing school

Did the student’s test scores go up? How does this work during timed exams?

@grok give me summary of this video

Download this @xdownloaderbot

you are followed, love it

"Sometimes it's about the method, not the effort."

Interesting. Very interesting.

Interesting

What’s with the word “literally”

@PascalPoanlab, might be of interest to you.

That’s great . When that study block is over and you take a break when you haven’t completed studying a sub portion, how do you take a break without mentally getting drained? I spend the break worrying about not completing that portion. Isn’t the break for reset?

bookmarked.

Makes sense

What is even studying??? I read the info, do the assignment, take the quiz/test, and that’s it. So study how? Sit and read the stuff I just got an A on? Uh….

@grok what method did he call it?

This professor teaching study techniques like he's dropping cheat codes for med school finals. My brain just subscribed

@grok what’s the video about ?

Wish I knew this in undergrad

This is honestly life-changing advice 👏 Wish someone had told me this back in school. Saving this for later! 📚✨
